I just find a screen protector for my pre-order gearlive, I want to have the protector before my device arrives but this one is available for shipping a day after the watch will ship. Probably it will arrive sunner, the protector. Maybe there is another screen protector for the gearlive available right now.
Just buy ANY screen protector and cut your own! Xtremeguard should get you one big enough to cut 2-3 tries (get the Note protector)
1) Get the cheapest one possible from XtremeGuard: http://slickdeals.net/f/7032118-xtr...empered-glass-protectors-85-off-free-shipping
2) Trace face of watch into paper
3) Transfer template from paper onto screen protector
4) Cut out
5) Install
6) Repeat if you mis-cut or mis-measured
Is this likely to be a concern? Is there something different about the glass on these watches than regular watches? I've always worn a watch, and while I bump it from time to time against something, I've never had a big scratch....

I'm with you. Aside from an occasional bump I've never seen anything happen to any of my watches. I can't imagine it would be different for the Live. People can't look at this device like they would a phone. It shouldn't be falling and subjecting to the same things your phone would be. Rather it wouldn't be as likely to be subjected to the same amount of potential torture.
I can't tell you I have had all of the gets and never put a screen protector on any of them and none of them have had a single scratch on the screen. This is with normal daily wear and bumping then into other objects.

I scratched my Pebble a couple of times, but it's plastic. It never took any impact damage, and all of its scratches were from situations in which I was stupid to not remove it, like car work.
I bought gear 2 screen protector from Amazon for my live (adfolix) . After 2 days I got a pretty bad scratch on it so I had to change it as I only seen the scratch when looking at watch hoping the second will last longer...
I've been using this full body protector and it fits perfect. It's from iq shield.
I have that one also and it works great.

im looking for a screen protector for my gear live but i am unable to find one anywhere. However there are many screen protectors available for gear 2/2 neo. Since you mentioned that you used the gear 2's scree protector on your gear live, could you tell me how do it fit? it is little small or big for gear live? and did you use one which covered only the screen(1.63) or the whole front glass?

There are a ton of them for the Gear Live on Amazon.
Here's the one I currently have on mine, it's been on for almost a year now, and it's still going strong -

All is not lost! From what I can find out, the screen protectors for the Gear 2 also fit the Gear Live, so you can get those and he fine. There are several on the US Amazon site marked as being for both, so if you can get Gear 2 protectors, you'll be good to go.

Hello people,
i am looking for a glass screenprotector with a colour (yellow?) But I cannot find any. All the items I see on ebay are either sold out or do not have the yellow colour
I would recommend staying away from the coloured glass protectors as they have not been given stellar reviews here on XDA. Most of the time it's the fact that the SPen doesn't work right or fitment, etc.
I think the company is called XGear.
XGear review link here
I can't find the site anymore but you can get them off ebay. There are a few distributors out of China that make what you're looking for but I would avoid them as I haven't read anything good about them.
I have one of those glass ones off of eBay, mine is black. I have a link in the screen protector reviews thread. Ive had it for a week and I have no issues with sensitivity or the s pen. However, the black around the edges is glittery, so its kind of a girly SP. Quality is there though.
One big deal though, the SP goes all the way to the edge. So your cases you may have may not work with it. I'm currently using a casemate tough case, but I can confirm both otter boxes, and the protective cover+ DO work with it. But your basic TPU cases will not.

s pen is generally not affected by screen protectors. bring your s pen close to the screen, press down on the nib and move it around and you can draw without the s pen even touching the screen.
+1 for the 'Bulletproof" (Glasszone) SP
I've had two of these protects for two seperate phones and they are outstanding. I'm not sure where everyone is getting this speculation that glass screen protectors (particular the ones with colour outside the screen) affect the spen or touch sensitivity. It works PERFECTLY FINE. And it is the best likeness you will get to your bare naked screen. I will never go back to a none-glass screen protector. I bought this one:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-BULLETPR...var&hash=item3cccacdff8&_uhb=1#ht_12820wt_958
Which is essentially the same as this one that was posted earlier except different pricing/seller:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Galaxy-Note-...ar&hash=item23268cf7c6&_uhb=1#ht_10679wt_1163
Go for it, you won't regret it. Just a heads up though the screen protector does go all the way to the edge of your screen, but I haven't had any problems with my Incipio Dual Pro Shine case or my Seido Active. Also, your home button will be recessed since the glass is thicker, but you can easily buy a home button sticker on ebay (which IMO makes your phone look so much more bada**). I've yet to receive my Urban Armour Case so I can't say if it will fit on that. I'm sure it will though.

This I know, I just remember reading a few posts on the forums where people were having issues with some of the first Glass SP's. I'm using the MimeUSA one right now and came from a JLG that died recently. the XGEAR GSP or one of the other ones had some issues like fitment and general SPen problems. I'm sure they are fixed now though. Didn't want another user here to get steered towards a sub par product.
This is the protector I have.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/28103026339...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Best protector I've ever had on a phone. Solid black color with no glitter. Adhesive on the entire protector. Covers entire glass. I have a white note 2 but you can't tell at all.
Anybody know of a seller that has red colored ones in stock? (Reputable seller, of course.) That would make my Note 2 perfect!

Well, the one I got from MIME does not totally cover the screen either, but this one is 1/2 price. In addition, I don't like color edges because I want it 100% clear.
I got one from x gear a few days ago. I think it was called voyager 2. its white. Works great.

The reason why MIME one doesn't cover the whole screen is because they counted in that you will be using a body cover. So they wanted to make sure this wasn't a issue.

It's worse than what you said. It's like "lifting" because the edges (including home button) do not totally stick on the screen and leave air space around the screen protector.
I don't know whether mine is defective or something.

I have a friend who has the mime and he has issues with the defender case peeling up the sides. If its an adhesion problem, let them know. I'd think if you can show them pictures that they'll send you out a new one. Most of the "non zagg" companies try to provide the best customer service possible.
On another note, does the voyager 2 have glitter on the black? I'm seriously considering buying it because I'm tired of the glitter on my eBay one

I would say the type of adhesive MIME uses on the glass could a little more sticker. But then of course that could probably cause some issues. Also I noticed on some areas that the glue doesn't quite go to the edge of the glass.

Nice, I will be ordering soon. But what do you think about the full body ZAGG - is it going to work with a tpu case for example. I read that the normal ZAGG is not case friendly - the case could lift up the protector at the edges. What do you think - should I order the HD screen protector only or the full body?
I would only get the screen if you are definitely getting the case too

Zagg HD screen protector is pretty nice.
Well at least now I know it's good. But it is expensive. I have never thought I'd pay so much for a screen protector.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
I had the Zagg full body wrap on mine when I first got my G2 (Verizon), mainly because no cases were available yet. In about the 3 months time it was on, I had it replaced twice due to the back peeling. Once it starts peeling around the corners, dirt gets in there, and it makes your phone look like crap. Eventually, I picked up the Incipio Feather and DualPro cases. Neither case fit properly with the rear Zagg on, so I removed it. The front lasted another month or so, before I eventually removed that one as well.
Getting them replaced is a joke. There are normally kids working at the mall kiosks who are little to no help. I had to inquire several times and they never had them in stock. They'd take my number down on a piece of paper and tell me they'd call when they came in the following week, but I never heard from them.

I just get the 6 pack dry installers from Amazon. Cheap and so far they last. It feels like glass so I like it. If you really wanna try wet installs like ZAGG, try this: http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/117...ard-coupon-for-screen-or-full-body-protectors
I just ordered 3 fronts and a back protector for $2.50.... Can't go wrong with that price. Just make sure to use the 90% off code.

I had the full coverage version on my S3 and had no issues with it in a UAG case. I did have to get the front replaced with a "case friendly" version under warranty when the case started peeling the edges off. I never had a problem with the back piece even with 3 different cases. Just pay the $4 shipping fee. When I had to get my phone replaced, I got another set for $4 under warranty.Once it's on for a day or so, it's on there.

You have to register online and replacements are easy to get and they ship fairly quick. When you order a replacement under warranty, you can get a different version equal to what you have (or lower). You just have to send them the old one back. I didn't go with the full body version for my G2.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Spigen does have screen protectors for the Neo. I ordered them before mine even showed up and they got here on the 10th, same day as my Neo. They are a wet apply protector and go on nice and easy. Given the size of the device alignment can be a bit tricky. Its 10 bucks for 3, which isnt bad IMO.

iSmooth Gear 2 Neo screen protector
Ordered and received this screen protector:
http://www.amazon.com/iSmooth-Samsung-Ultra-Screen-Protector/dp/B00IMMBZHK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
The packaging was for the correct protector (Gear 2 Neo) but it was a little smaller than the screen (which I did not mind) BUT, the top and bottom edges would not stay stuck to the screen. After looking closer, the top and bottom edges are slightly tapered and this protector was not flexible enough to follow these contours.
I called the company and they are going to re-measure for a better fit.
They refunded 100% of my Amazon purchase w/o questions.
Still looking for a good protector.
There are not too many choices.
TL
They are not refunding me. I would have to pay return shipping. I even sent them pictures. At 10 bucks i will eat the cost and just tell all my customers at Samsung and Best Buy how crappy they are. Even best buy mobile manager couldn't get them on properly or have them look good and he has done hundreds of screen protectors. They have the orange peel effect and even though they have the proper tools to get the bubbles out there are dents from the installation. 3 different people tried the 3 included. I mean do they expect me to ship an empty box. I love spigen products but these are garbage.

I guess im confused. Mine were cake to install, look pretty good, and given i did it in the dark and in a rush, they lined up pretty well. The orange peel is minimal, and their are no indentions. Its my experience that you only get grooves if you try to force all the bubbles out. With wet apply screen protectors thats the worst thing you can do. It takes a day or two for them all to go away, but they do go away. And, orange peel is one of the downsides to most of the rubbery type screen protectors, at least all of the ones ive encountered.

Mine was pretty easy to install as well. As a matter of fact, I noticed that my watchface was scuffed up pretty good in one of the corners. I gently peeled back the spigen protector and the actual watch is just fine. I'll replace the protector tonight since I have two more. Good investment for me.

I needed something to protect the screen from scratches so I'm going with these for now. I have mine applied without bubbles w/ minimum orange peel. What I hate though is that this is the gummy type of protector that I kind of hate touching compared to smooth. I would not have ordered these if I knew that was the case. Heck, I'd buy a tempered glass one if someone sold it as that's what I use on all my phones and tablets now. I wish at least a smooth/slick one was available.
I ordered the spigen screen protectors but I have a zagg designed for the Gear 1 installed. It seems to be holding up well. Has anyone used both and noticed a big difference in quality? I was going to leave the zagg on til it deteriorates but if the spigen is way better I'll take it off and switch. The zagg doesn't cover 100% of the face.

Skinomi have been a great value
Guys, I just purchased the Skinomi screen protector. 6 for $10.00 delivered. Very easy to apply, fits screen excellent, and can't even tell its there. Good product. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Ordered the Spigen direct made a mess installing it as per the instructions but I followed the final step, which was leave it alone and the bubbles, etc will disappear.
Well two days in the screen protector looks perfect, quite amazing.
Anyway only gripe it screen sensitivity on swipping especially down needs more pressure.

I'll second that. I applied the protector 2 days ago. It went on easy and had several bubbles. By yesterday 90% of the bubbles were gone, today there are none.

Used these on my Neo and Gear 2, learned to just slap them on and the bubbles totally dissappear after a day or so for a perfect finish

Hi,
thanks for the link. There don't seem to be many about on the internet, £10 seems like quite a lot for a screen protector unless its amazing.

Hey Guys. In my experience your gonna really want a full body protection with this nice watch.. Im in the US and ordered my R from Korea and they had it to me and cleared customs in 2 days. But the Skinomi full body kits are the best on the planet and you can get them in clear like the invisishields or in nice colors and textures like woodgrain and brushed metal and carbon fiber on amazon. Heres the link you will need. http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi®-TechSkin-Replacement-Definition-Anti-Bubble/dp/B00NAGSYQS
I've used the full body on a galaxy gear and a gear live and it is really nice to have bump protection on the whole watch and the under side covering protects the watch well and stops it from sliding on your wrist so much if you don't like to tighten your band really tight. And as a problem I had experienced with my gear live the charging pin connectors didn't like my body sweat too much and wanted to corrode and pit. If you can find some extra material in the kit I would suggest cutting a piece to fit over the charge pins while u wear the watch so sweat or oils won't have any chance to damage them. have fun I'm loving this LG.
I have to disagree on the Skinomi stuff.
I bought that for my original Moto 360 and ended up removing it. I just did not like the feel of it on the watch. It is pretty much like saran wrapping the watch.

Good luck with that one. The images are of a phone protector.

yeah i like the idea of the kits but i think they look a bit ugly. i like protecting my stuff but i bought the watch for its looks and i dont want to hide it under a protector to have something perfect that i never get to see.
saying that i will be gutted if i chip the body!
i am worried about the face and how easily that might scratch

Meh, just standard things 101. Happened many times before. I don't think I'll have issues with that specific thing.
Plenty of screen protector options on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=...=ur2&tag=soxpzulfa-20&linkId=E76F2GLYMQ6F7UJM
The carbon fibre skin looks interesting...
Anyone find a good screen protector yet? Right now I just took one of the extra ones I had for my M8 and cut out a circle of the appropriate size. It works alright except not all of the edges are tightly adhered, so it looks kind of bad.

I just bought Skinomi® TechSkin - LG G Watch R Screen Protector + Full Body Skin Protector
It should be here in a week... will post back my findings.. Note: not a prime eligible item =[
ArmorSuit MilitaryShield - No Go
I installed the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield screen protector for the G Watch R, and it is pretty disappointing. It is all hyped up and packaged as if it is premium, but the soft plastic cover is far from premium in application. There are a bunch of tiny pits and lines on my screen protector, and it looks like it doesn't belong. I might as well have left a piece of factory plastic on the screen. I even went as far as installing this in one of our clean rooms at work, and while there was no dust, there are still some odd artifacts that show up in the adhesive layer. I've had much better luck with the hard plastic-like screen protectors that don't require a wet application. I recommend you skip this particular brand.

That really sucks
I have used Skinomi before and they are wet application base, their product is grate...
At least to my experience.
Let the Armorsuit cure for about 24 hours after application and those imperfections smooth out.

I bought the "dipos LG G Watch R Screenprotector (2 Pieces) - Crystalclear from Amazon http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00NGP0EZM
And Iam happy with it
I've tried the Vikuti CV8. I was not able to fixate it and then properly swipe out bubbles. How did you guys do that?
Since I wasn't able to apply it without ugly bubbles and reflections both protectors are now in my trash can.
Has anyone found a tempered glass screenprotector for the g watch r?
If you see a cheap "XtremeGuard Screen Protector" one don't buy it. Has a rubber like feel to it when trying to swipe the screen.

I tossed it a week later, it never really settled out. It had too many imperfections that were visible at an angle. With the screen on, looking straight on to the watch, it looked perfectly fine, but when it was at an angle and light hit, you could see all the imperfections. It made the watch look cheap. Maybe I had a dud. The search continues....
I yanked the screen protector off of my note to use this but I'm not really a fan of not using any screen protection at all. Does anyone use a screen protector that doesn't interfere with the Gear VR?

I initially had a glass protector on mine but ripped it off because of bad halo effect around all sides. I went naked but like you I don’t like the idea of an unprotected display. So I went back to a bunch of xtreme guard dry protectors, cut the top and bottoms down to decrease halo’s and the result is acceptable. I actually like the feel of the protector and the S-Pen works fine but there is still a hint of halo on the sides.
The only issue is that even for the smallest speck of dust or lint trapped below the protector it will show up magnified and appear in the same spot. To the naked eye I cannot see it but it is noticeable in the headset.
If Spigen made this case below for the Note 4 I would do without a screen protector. I just don’t care for cases like otterbox defenders because it’s a pain in the butt to rip that case off 2 to 3 times a day.

I am using a cheap 6 protectors for $5 from Amazon and it works great... Had to replace the original one I used because with the magnification I could see some dirt inside the screen protector, (wasn't visible thru naked eye) but just replaced the screen protector for another of the 5 left and done... Working perfectly...
I have the clear coat product on mine and i have no problems at all
I use my note 3 screen protector.
I also have a glass protector on my phone including the horrible halo
But i still wonder how much of the edges is shown threw the gear vr.
So tonight i'm gonna test it by putting a piece of tape on the edge of the screen (covering the halo) and look for it threw the gear vr.
Will let you know the outcome...
Note 4 has the brand new and totally unreal Gorilla Glass 4. I wouldn't recommend bothering with a screen protector, it's more like a safety blanket than anything else. Why put highly scratchable plastic or slightly more scratchable extra glass on that beautiful screen when it takes a driven sledgehammer to even scratch the real thing? (eh, can't post link yet because I'm a newbie to XDA. YouTube video code ZabqRB8snK4)

I'm using a supershieldz glass screen protector (0.3mm) and it usually does not interfere with the Gear VR after it starts up.
My only issue is that it sometimes doesn't recognize it as being plugged into the Gear VR. Releasing it and clicking it back in will eventually get it to work, but I wonder if I'm putting stress on the usb thing >_> am I? x_x;; or is this common for people who use a screen protector with the gear vr? I wish they didn't make it such a tight fit for the N4.. ;_;
I have the Bear Motion tempered glass protector on my phone and have had no issues. I'm quite pleased with how well everything works actually.

Hmm.. Maybe mines too thick then :shrugs: Thanks for your input :good:
I was given 2 Sample Otterbox Alpha Glass Screen protectors from Otterbox right before Christmas. I put the screen protector on, I didn't get any halo and I now use my gear with it on. Haven't had any problems with it on at all.

That's weird that some of us would have problems with this protector but not others. I wonder why that is?
I have a friend at work who also has a Note 4 with a screen protector. I might try his Note 4 in the Gear VR later today just for the sake of curiosity.

Ya it helps Otterbox HQ is located less than 70 miles from me. I am in the process of setting up a partnership with Otterbox and my school. To provide discounts to our staff, students and community all while we promote that we use the cases on our Galaxy Note 10.1 (we currently have 800+ Galaxy Note 10.1 deployed to all students and staff K-5) 2 sample screen protectors, 2 sample Note 4 cases and and 3 sample GN 10.1 cases. I have had no halo effect on the Note 4 at all.

If they happen to be using that Moshi Glass (The one that's edge to edge) I would be even more interested :silly:
I just don't like how it feels as though I'm forcing the N4 into the Gear... Without an SP (mine is 0.3 according to SuperShieldz), it clicked in with ease and started up instantly.. but now I will often have to try twice before it starts & I feel like it just barely fits in there now >_>
