Hello!
Anyone knows if it's possible to control the focus of the camera manually? Even in another camera app?
Thanks!

Try to tick something in settings, i don't remember right now and don't have the phone at my office to see where to set up this.

@R_a_z_v_a_n maybe you were thinking about zoom option, I do not remember that I saw manual focus on our phone. BTW if you guys find out I am curious to know.

[Q] Is there an easy way to do screen shot capture in 2.1?

While playing movies, for example, I want to capture the screen as a still picture. Same goes for a piece of info that I see on the webpage, etc.
In the iPhone environment, users could just press the power and home button simultaneously to capture it as a photo.
Is there anything like that on Android?
I only know one way and that requires root , then download app from market "Shootme"

Thanks for the info. Do you then assign a hardware button to do the capture? No problem capturing a movie while it is playing?

"Shootme" works by shacking phone left and right , i did not try capturing a movie but it should work it captures everything else on screen, there are more apps in market capable capturing screenshots , they all need root to best of my knowledge.

Shaking is a good way, as long as the orientation is not upset by it I guess.
Having go root the phone is a pity. Does anyone know of a non-root solution?

I dont have root either and i looked for screenshoot app as well, but i wasnt able to find any..
-TB-
It's due to Android's security settings that root is required to take screenshots.
No other way around it for now.
Read this thread, in the first post there is a link on how to take screenshots through the android SDK:
The screenshot thread
Wow, does it have to be this complicated just to capture screen?

You can disable the Stock one and use the thirdparty one you have installed.
You can not open the camere with the camera button when you have multiple camera apps installed.
Atleast I cant.

[Q] How to start camera app in manual mode instead in superior auto?

Hey
I looked into previous threads and didn't found a good solution to this problem.
Is ther any solution?
I have rooted c6903 with 4.4.2 and looked-bootloader.
thnks
from wat i tested out. the only way is to open the camera app through the homescreen. but provided previously it is in manual mode.
if u dont want it to switch to superior auto, than make sure u dont press the camera key button when screen is not locked.

The HW Button can be remapped and it's a common Mod on Android but it's not yet developed for Z1 as the functionality do not gain many users and request are small.
Somehow maybe it can be done, but I an not aware about that at the moment.

Microphone

Is it just me or do other members of this forum also have problems with there microphone volume?
During a call, people on the other side are hearing me not so good.
And yes i unchecked the noise reduction in phone settings.
If so, anyone got a solution for this problem?
No one???
If you're still using my CM12 build, you might increase the microphone volume with FauxSound app.
Is it in your rom?

No, it's a paid app from Play Store.
However, adjusting the same audio features is also supported by 3C toolbox or System Tuner. Both are free, yet a little too bloated with features I personally don't need.
Can someone help me with a walktrough?

Just install System Tuner, look for Sound Settings and adjust whatever you want

Alright i made it work as well, if you having the black screen press the home button, open another app (eg WhatsApp) and then go back to the gcam

I tried everything, but it just crashes. I even tried deleting the app's data.
This helped for me. Try to hold on the app and run one of the function: "Make selfie" or "Record the video" after that camera will work, but sometimes when i launch camera on the common mode, i have a black screen again.
How good is it? Care to share some side-by-side photos? (stock -> google camera)?
Does it enable cameraapi2?
Thanks in advance

In the other thread there are several comparison pics. I doubt you can get it working without canera2 api which needs root to enable. Without HDR+, whats the point of having gcam?

camera 2 api doesnt need root. just needs an unlocked bootloader. I would be better if we spam tweets to mi to unlock camera 2 api with next update as nokia 6.1 plus has it enabled out of the box.
