[Wrong section] Is there a mms over Wifi module? Is it possible? - Xposed General

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, mods move if it is.
I just want to know if there is a module that allows this to happen. I just want to do this over Hangouts with people who do not use Hangouts.
Is this out or even possible?

Hi
It shoudn't be possible because MMS uses a couple of servers owned by the Celular Operator, the WAP Proxy Server and the MMSC. Those servers are not going to be reachable from outside the data cellular Network.

How about checking sticky threads before posting?

Am I missing something? I am sending messages via the board and they are not saving them in the sent folder.
When sending a message, you have to click the check box that says something like "save copy to sent folder". It's right below the text box, above the button to send. It took me a few times to figure this out too.
The messages aren't saved automatically because there is a limit on how many messages you can keep at one time.
Hi!
I've just visited this forum. Happy to get acquainted with you. Thanks!

If you mean private messages, this is disabled by default. You need to set this option in your User CP.

[Q] How to fix double-notification with text messaging

I have deleted the stock messaging app and installed Handcent. Whenever I receive a text message, I receive two notifications. The first is the stock messaging envelope icon, followed by the Handcent icon. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Wrong section. Also, I thought even the Handcent Market page tells you that you need to disable notifications in the stock messenger.
Yeah, wrong section, but just go to settings in the stock app and disable auto-retrieve.

My apologies. I will try elsewhere. But, fyi, I cannot change the settings in the stock app because I deleted it.
why delete it, just leave it and turn off the notifications for that app.

It has already been deleted. Otherwise, I would turn off the notifications in the stock app. But I cannot open the stock app to turn off the notifications because it no longer exists in the app folder.
Okay, um, extract the MMS.apk file from whatever rom you're using (adb or root explorer) and copy it to /system/app. Then open the apk from /system/app and install. Then open messaging and change settings. Hope it works!
It's simple 3 step process...
1. Search
2. Read the forum rules
3. And, POST in the right section...
Hey forum cop's, this Guy came looking for help. I don't think he needs to be told its the wrong place 4 times. When did linuk/forums/XDA become more about putting people in there place and less about just helping?
If you reflash you should not lose anything.
But same as others have said with putting back the stock app or just reflash the rom you ate using should do it. As long as you have not changed.

Dude - it's not about helping or not helping... people have always answered questions and went out of their way to help out. But this basic stupidity (some might call it arrogance) of not reading rules, guides, wikis - which everyone out here has put in their precious time to develop and update, is unacceptable. And over and above that, this guy has posted this question in two different places... what do you say about that?
Can't wait to see where this thread goes.

Agreed. However, I'm wondering why the OP getting grief for asking a question in the Q&A section. Exactly where I would have posted a question

I'm unsure if it was here originally. It may have been moved. Usually the mods say it has, but I see no mod post.

Sure is alot of whining in this thread. Never did see if this issue got corrected either. If so, please edit the first post to Solved so no one else comes here to answer and has to sort through all of the hall monitors remarks.

[SOLVED] Seeing a list of all threads you participated in that have a new post?

Hi..
This feature is in the mobile app where you can see participated threads. In my PC, I used to use see all posts made by me in my profile but right now I'm almost hitting 300 posts and checking that long list is tedious.
So, how do I get this on my PC? A list of all threads I have participated in with a new post after I last checked it?
I tried but I keep forgetting since default is no subscription.
M_T_M said:
Best way is to subscribe to whatever threads you've participated on. That way you'll can get a notification (email or whatnot) every time someone posts on that thread.

yes.
I see you joined, just to post this question. Yet, the solution to voice calling was found in the last 1-2 monts, and actively discussed in various threads. So I'm going to conclude that you didn't read around or search.
Try to search next time. :banghead:
But for once i'll give you the answer

It worked perfectly for me

To me this rom is fabulous.
If you take away the i9100 modem and you put yours back delete voice calls but still works really well and super fast.
I made a backup with the original modem and another is that of voice calls and so, when I do the restore voice right already.:good:
You don't need a new rom to make calls
You can use Google Voice combined with one of the VOIP connector program in market such as GrooVe IP. I have a tasker script (it's not required, just helpful) I run that will switch my Google Voice forward from my cell to my tab when I want to only carry my tab. My tab has LTE so I can do this at will. If you have WiFi only it will work fine anytime you have a network connections.
I don't understand why people call you names here. Being new is not a crime and search here is problematic at best. For some reason a few people need to trash everyone.

He wasn't calling him anything. :banghead: is an emoticon and if you see it on your mobile XDA/Tapatalk it shows as a stick figures head profile against a brickwall. but I can see where you would think that though.

I understand but don't see the difference. Sometimes around here it seems that people spend more time insulting new people than helping them and the only way I know to reduce it is to report it. Just saying....

Its not an insult. The emoticon is just an emoticon you know.
I for example use google to search if i dont find it on xda. And sometimes i find it via google at XDA where the search of xda itself left me in the cold and sometimes i find it somewhere else.
This one i found on another site (cant remember wat site it whas) with a link to the thread on xda
P.S. And if you look at my profile you will see i'm new too.

More than once I've found things on one machine then went to another machine and couldn't find my way back with search. I now make comments at times just so I can get back. I don't like subscribing to lots of stuff.

KR user issues

Since the dev thread is closed I wanted to post this. There are some of us still using the rom and I have a few questions/issues but no where to ask about them. So I am starting this thread to ask questions about the workings of the rom itself. Please no questions asking for links and no posts about the developer.
With that said does anybody else have an issue with default apps not sticking? When I select a ring tone or notification it asks me everyone which app I want to use to select. I check the always box and select the app but it will still ask each time.

I would delete that ROM off your phone asap. Who knows whats running in the background.
Trust me. I am a doctor.
I have to agree with Lucky... The "developer" of the ROM has lied about everything since he was in the S2 forums under another username that got banned for some shady stuff...
It would not only be best to just not use because he could have done something shady to the ROM, but by using it you are supporting him.

I would like to give a second opinion since terminal illnesses should always get one.
And I concur! You should remove the rom. I may not be a doctor. But I did stay at a holiday inn express!!!
Personally if I were you, I'd read the already started threads on the knoxraid subject and form your own opinion. They may even lead you to the source of it all. Thus solving your posted problem. I think xda closed the rom threads meaning they no longer want to support it. That says a lot to me!
Hahaha haha!
