Root i9295 Int'l 4.4.2 - Galaxy S 4 Active Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Recently updated my S4 Active to 4.4.2. I was previously on 4.2.2, with CWM Rec and rooted.
After updating to 4.4.2 official version from sammobile.com I can no longer root my device using the previous method of flashing CWM Recovery via Odin3.09, then rebooting into CWM Rec and installing SuperSU1.80.zip.
I am curious if there is another method of rooting 4.4.2 official or do I have to wait?
Thanks
EDIT: Rooted now via towelroot.

Try towel root. Get it at towelroot.com, consider donating for the developer. Its super easy, just run the apk and install su from play store.

Important:- after rooting, your SuperSU app will force close because its not compatible with 4.4.4. You have to install the new version SuperSU v2.02 provided in the above post.
I did not use any recoveries mentioned in the post. Just rooted.

[Q] How to unroot/restore stock so I can upgrade to 4.4

Hey all. I had my phone rooted for a long time and I have safe strap. Haven't been here in a while and would like to upgrade to 4.4. Now my stock slot is on android 4.0, baseband N900AUCUBNB4. When I try to update it says my software is up to date or says downloading then hangs. How do I return to full stock to update? Thanks.

That thread says there is no need to remove root. If I want to use the ota updates do I have to remove root or will the otas still work? Thanks
Using the odin file/files will install the latest stock nc2 Rom and remove root at the same time. If you then want root use towelroot.

Ls995 still on 4.2.2 with root and cwm. Worth upgrade to 4.4?

Like it says I'm on Sprint rooted xposed custom how I like. Have cwm recovery.
I think it's worth it to go back to stock to take 4.4 ota since we have recovery for kit at now?

Problem with ota updates

My phone ota updated a while ago and I lost my root. I didn't think much about it at the time but now it won't install ota updates. It gets 28 percent and fails. How can I fix this?
I have cwm recovery installed and I used towel root to root. I didn't have a aftermarket Rom running.

You have to downgrade fully to NCE then take the OTA's. Use the above guide but don't do the Kernel swap(if you don't want root).
1. Should the OA1 ota update fail consider returning to factory stock NCE (all User Data will be lost) by flashing the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar using Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+) then taking the OTA updates to OA1.

CWM doesn't work on the G900A why would even have it installed?
Safestrap is the only recovery you can use.
