I have recently downloader Xposed Installer for my HTC One (Android 4.4.2) and have successfully installed it (including the mods I want) but the mods don't seem to be able to work.
For example, I have Xposed Lockscreen Wallpaper (1.6.2) checked in the 'Modules' tab, but it doesn't seem to open when I my phone opens. The standard lockscreen pops up instead. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Please help.
p.s please let me know if you need more details.

Have you installed the latest Framework? You can check by tapping the icon Xposed Installer and see if 'Framework' is written in red letters. If so, go into framework and press Install/Update (i think, i have the dutch version running, it's the option on the top).

I presume you have rebooted your phone? You have root? Do you see a green number '54' too? Those are the requirements for the Xposed Installer to work, including the modules you already checked.
Edit: Are you running a Sense-based ROM? The module only seems to work with Stock Google/AOSP

Yes, that's how it's supposed to look, but I've found your problem: You are running Sense, the module is for Stock Google/AOSP only.

Hi all,
New to the forum, but none many topics been reading many topics and the forums are great.
I'm new to Custom ROMs but have a pretty good idea about how it all works. I have one issue though. I have OneDroid custom ROM installed, I installed Unicon to change the icons but it continually says I need to install the framework have done this and rebooted many times to no avail.
Is the framework compatible with 4.4 or is there something I'm doing wrong.
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately the uncheck->soft reboot, check->reboot option didn't work.

and you made sure:
1- you're granting root access to Xposed and the module you're using
2- xposed is "install/update" -> soft reboot (pic 1)
3- enabled the module in xposed (pic 3)

Yes have done all three, I read on another forum that Unicon is not compatible with 4.4. There was a workaround with Titanium Backup but I was unable to backup Unicon as I was getting the 'Insufficient Storage' alert.
Hi All,
After a recent flash of ARHD 71.1 (HTC One M7), I cannot get the Framework to work. I just get the message ""The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?" I've tried:
uninstalling the framework then re-installing by downloading the apk.
disabling all Xposed modules and re-installing the framework
uninstalling the framework and installing an older version
installing the unstable beta version of the framework
disabling/re-enabling permissions in SuperSU
In the 'Framework' tab of the app, the 'app_process' and 'XposedBridge.jar' both show a red line under the 'active' column. The bundled counts are 58 and 54 respectively.
The modes I'm trying to use are:
Advanced Power Menu
Boot Manager
Hide Xposed IME
Network Speed Indicator
Sense 6 Toolbox
Swiftkey Goodness on More Fields
XDual Statusclock
Xposedstatues Text
YouTube AdAway
I've had various Xposed mods working before I updated ARHD, so I have no idea what's going wrong now.
Possibly relevant:
I could never get Sense 6 toolbox to work from within ARHD, even before I started adding other mods:
My first install of Xposed was via Aroma at the same time as I installed ARHD 71.1.
I hope somebody can help me here!
Thanks

Hi GermainZ,
Yes, I've looked through the FAQs but I can't find anything that's completely relevant.
There seem to be issues (bootloops) with the Oppo Framework, I don't have a fix yet.

On some HTC One phones with CM11, the System UI force crashes. This seems to be caused by SELinux restrictions

As far as I know, I'm not running a CM ROM. Anyway, I'm not getting FCs.
Apart from that, obviously it won't work if the conditions mention above aren't met, e.g. if your phone isn't rooted

Yes, of course it's rooted!
Does Xposed get disabled if I flash a new ROM? Yes, because the file it modifies, /system/bin/app_process, is part of every ROM and will be overwritten when you flash a ROM. However, as long as you don't wipe data, the Xposed Installer app will still be installed, so you can just click on "install/update" again in the Framework section and reboot.

Xposed was installed with the new ROM via Aroma, so this isn't relevant.

The FAQ doesn't end there - there 8 additional posts. If those don't help, post your Xposed logs after a reboot.

Hi Germain,
Yes, I've read them all. But none of the other FAQs are anything to do with getting the Framework functioning.
I've just gone into the Framework tab, hit 'update/install' which has cased a reboot (as designed) and now I've gone into the Logs section, but the only message there is 'Log Is Empty'.
I'm wondering if the fact that I'm running the ARHD version of Sense 6 toolbox is causing problems? I presume this would only work if Xposed is installed (via Aroma at the same time as I flashed the ARHD ROM), but perhaps it's a 'standalone' version of Sense 6 toolbox? Just reading back that last sentence makes no sense to me, but then I'm open to any possibilities at this stage!
One of my mods is APM (Advanced Power Menu), and I've noticed that there is a special Xposed Installer quoted in an APM post specifically for the Sony Xperia. Might there be any special installer for the HTC One that I'm not seeing anywhere?

S-On is active.
Before installing via recovery - I think I should do a COMPLETE uninstall of the Framework, but not from within the app itself, as that hasn't seemed to work. Any ideas of how to do that?
Thanks for all your help and patience so far!

Excellent! But I'm not sure how to install and apk using recovery. I know how to flash a zip, but not an APK. I'm using TWRP 2.6.3.3. Do I need to use the adb sideload feature and install if from my laptop?
Sorry for this noob question!

Change the installation method in the Xposed Installer's settings.
Hi GermainZ,
I had to get back on board my cruise ship before your last post so my apologies for taking so long to reply. In the end, I did a complete re-flash of ARHD 71.1 and rebooted twice (just to make sure) before attempting to activate and xposed mods. This seems to have done the trick. One of the mods doesn't seem to be working at the moment, so I plan to de-activate them all, reboot, then activate them one-by-one, rebooting in between each. I've read that this is sometimes necessary. If I have any further problems I will of course post again but, for now, thank you very much for your time and help.
Regards,

Hi all, i am on my s4(verizon) and have just successfully installed hyperdrive rom(version:16) which is currently 4.4
Anyway, xposed installer comes integrated in the ROM, and when i try to update it by pressing the install/update it doesn't do anything.
when i try to do this manually, i get an error: (refer to screenshot)
This also applies to the App Settings Module
The reason i discovered this is when i tried to use a module it stated that my xposed bridge wasn't updated.
Any Ideas On How To Fix?

That's the problem. You have to uninstall the preinstalled version first. For help, please use the ROM's thread.

I have recently had a need to run Xposed Framework on my TouchPad running cm-11-20151116-SNAPSHOT-jcscullins-tenderloin.zip. My problem is that I am unable to install the Xposed Installer apk, it just sits at the install screen with cancel and install buttons at the bottom. Tapping install does nothing, cancel exits the installation. I have tried de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d and de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c with the same results. What is the proper way to install Xposed Framework on my TouchPad?
I had a similar problem about a year ago. I read an article somewhere that suggested apps that control your display can be the source of the problem. I remembered I was using the Urbandroid app Twilight. Once I paused or temporarily disabled the app I was able to click the install button for the APK.
On another note, I am using CM11 KitKat 4.4.4 developed by Milaq. No matter what version of the
xposed framework I install, it will not allow me to activate the framework. It just gives me a long technical error message that says my SDK version and my ARM processor version are to blame. I hope you will experience more joy than I have.

Xposed doesn't seem to work on 20151116. At the very least, 2.7 does work on 20150113 but battery drain while sleeping is still an issue on that build. Were either of you able to get Xposed working on 20151116? Did you have any luck with the Xposed 3.0 framework?
Did anybody try this?

First of all, ensure that the module isn't outdated and compatible with latest Xposed version. v86 introduced some new stuff under the hood, which makes some modules incompatible, the module developers have to fix it.
Does this happen with all modules or a specific one that you want/need?
