[Q] CPU frequency adjustment problem - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
I used most 2 reliable apps ( Pimp my z1 & Performance Control ) but I have problem on both adjusting cpu freq . for example when I adjust the min on 300Mhz it will return to the default ...
what should i do?

Have you got kernel support to OC/UC?

Yes! Using doomkernel v21... When i go to cpu control in pimp my z1 and adjust the freq, for example i change the min value from 1190 to 300 then save it,and press the back button and when i come back its again on 1190 or sometimes its higher. Now its on 1728 on min and Nan on max.
Have the same problem with the performance control too..
P.S the battery drains so fast too,the upper part of phone is warmer even when i'm not doing anything heavy. Editing this post got 3% battery! Using iHackers 4.1

[Q] best setcpu settings for t-mobile G1

hello i am searching for the best setcpu settings for G1 so i will get the hell out of my g1 !! please help and if double post sorry i didn't see the other at related threads
576 max, 528 min
122 122 on sleep
This is the setting that I have been using, the good thing is it has failsafe profile as well to prevent overheating
Profiles are listed according to order (high priority to low)
Main setting 528 max 245 min
Screen off 245 max 122min (245 max to allow background apps to function properly)
temp>38.6 352 man 245 min
Charging 537 max 245 min
Battery<40% 480 max 245 min
u can set your own max speed, but not advised to go beyond 576
245 is set as minimum when awake because that is the original minimum clockspeed of the cpu
remember to check 'set on boot' and 'enable profile' setting
change them to your liking n have fun!
p/s: my setting is based on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6762470&postcount=208
Any figures on how this affects battery life?

try it out for yourself, set it, and forget about it, and do your normal daily usage, after that you'll notice of the extra juice available

Keep in mind, the best settings may be none at all.
SetCPU does take a few MB of available RAM - a precious commodity on the G1. I've been going without it using Farmatito's kernels - it defaults to 528 and 245, I think. Only drop about 1% an hour on standby.

Good idea! It may be wise to remove the SetCPU to get more available RAM if the battery won't drop fast without SetCPU.

[Q] Optimal CPU settings

Hello, I tried searching but didn't find a thread about this. Sorry if there is one that I didn't find. I'm playing around with SetCPU and trying to figure out optimal settings. I know its a matter of preference but I wanted to see what everyones opinion is and what they have theirs set as. I have:
CheckROM Revo noteHD v5
Abyss Kernel
On Demand governor set
Max 1500MHz
Min 200MHz
I want a happy medium between battery life and performance.
I set a profile for screen off to min 200 and max 500.
I've been reading mixed reviews as to whether or not lower speeds actually increase battery life. I originally had the min at 50 but increased it to 200.
Another question is what would be a good temperature to set the temp profile to? Not sure when the phone begins to get too hot.
Thanks in advance
I used FM kernel with ondemand with min of 500Mhz and max of 1400Mhz with 2nd core always enabled, didnt notice that much of a battery loss.
go for rocket rom v22 with abbys note 4.2 kernel
set cpu min 50 max 800
on demand (if u want both cores active)
abbysnote (if u want single core running and 2nd to be used only if required otherwise 2nd would be off)
i got normal usage batt backup of 3 days least

Incredicontrol

We finally have root permissions, so i decided to try incredicontrol... anyone has already tried it?
I lowered the max freq up to 640MHz, and lowered the minimum freq up to the minimum (51MHz). The phone remains agile, no lags.
I noticed an improvement of the battery life, and the phone doesn't overheat like before.
The system uses more cores, not just one as with the base frequency.
I verified with the options "show cpu usage" in the hidden menù.
I suggest to use the interactive governor, because other governors don't use the shadow core.
We still cannot undervolt because there isn't a kernel that supports undervolt...
ps sorry for my bad english, but i'm italian
this app is simple, but unfortunaly it crashed for me to often, i use cpu master, set max speed to 1000 and min speed to 51mhz,
i think these tools are not full tegra3 rdy right now

mmm maybe.... maybe we have to wait new versions....... but on mine incredicontrol does not crash
CPU master
My CPU master doesn't (never) crash(ed) when i set max min CPU. Perhaps your app is buggy?

[Q] Which setting (cpu frills) for the energy saving?

hola a todos
which minimal or maximal frequency of scaling cpu is necessary?
(sorry my english is bad)
my setting:
min freq. 384mhz
max freq. 1242mhz
governor ondemand
scheduler noop
ps: no frills cpu is recommended?
thanks
cpu fre unninstaled...because not save battery...
see you
When not playing games i have 0 lags on min 384 max 1024 mhz. Governor Ondemand.I have huge battery saving with this but im on cyanogenmod. Have about 5 hours screen on and 1 day + time.

Faux CPU allows you to setup profile so max frequency can be raised for specific apps, such as games.

my xperia zr: 4hr and 30min screen on, with stock rom..... because im freeze apps and uninstalled bloatware.
tomorrow or later, create new post with full list.
regards n sorry for my poor english.
??
have you already tried the cpus frills on last version .101?
Guys i have been using the ZR from the last 5 days and noticed that the cpu don't sleep most of the time. Whatever util I use it still runs more or keeps itself busy.
Any ideas? Still I am using Stock 4.3 and i have frozen many apps that are been running in the system and removed a few. Fearing that i shouldn't have a bootloop because i am removing a system file.
Anyway, any suggestions to what to do with the cpu using itself unnecessarily? without any of my intervention?
Also noted that it is going to the max most of the time when I connect the USB to PC to charge the phone. That skyrockets itself and the temp rises more than 40C.

Kernel stock And Min free CPU with setcpu (rooted)

Hi
My s5 default frequency CPU are 300 Min And 2400 max.
I have root. stock rom And kernel. I have Read about clocking And if i increase CPU sped in its Min values The CPU should be more reactive. (i have stock kernel for mantain knox To 0x0 And i don.'t need a overclock up 2400 because 2400 is enought i think..) So, if i have 300 Min And 2400 max which Min value Can i set without problems? 400?652?728?or 883?
Now i have 883.. It' ok for CPU or i should have problems ? I Can set more than 883?if yes what CPU Min frequency could i set?
I have set when The Phone is charging or screen is off or calling The CPU turns To normal values (300 Min 2400 max).
The governor i use is stock interactive scheduler row.
I dov'è care about battery. If The change drop fastly is Not a problem for me. I want The Phone more reactive And responsi possible without problems on the CPU ecc..
Shouldn't have any problems, you might experience a bit more battery drain, that's about it. Sometimes when my screen is on, my phone automatically adjusts to 1190 as min, so I don't think you need to do anything.
Stock kernel, rooted
883 is too Hight or i Can set more? Like 960 or 1036 or 1190?i think more that 1190 is excessive.
In My experience when you open setcpu And do Nothing normally The CPU is 300.when you simply touch The screen it increase To 1190 so The 1190 i think is the minimal value of CPU when you use The Phone for operations. So maybe i think i could be ok if i set 1190.
