[Q] Xperia X8 brick? - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
I'm trying to fix my phone for 2 days still no success.
My problem is:
When i turn on the phone it does nothing, only the screen lights up for like 2-3 seconds after that it turns off.
It keeps doing it again and again until I take out the battery.
It cant even show the sony ericcson logo.
Battery works i tried it with another phone!
PHONE WASNT ROOTED OR FLASHED OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT
Solutions i tried :
Sony ericcson update service - no use
Flashing original firmware with flashtool - no use (btw flash mode works as long the flashing process works like charm)
Hope someone can help me out because there is no more warranty for the phone
Thanks in advance
Erik

Probably a hardware issue, I guess it is time for a new phone.

nothing?
I think your boot loader just got corrupted. Take your phone to a tecnical assistant. Your carrier won't do anything for you since you've an unlocked bootloader.
It will be just a waste of time.
I have the same "Service Required Code Corrupt" error after I tried to restore from a Nandroid Backup...
ohhh...
that sucks!!
Solution please
I have no

yes please
Me too, successfully downgraded JB to ICS, all was ok, made nandroid backup and boom.

[SOLVED] My Xperia t touchscreen suddenly doesn't work anymore

Yesterday I went to a party, nothing wrong with the xperia t. When I got home I let it recharge. I think it still worked at that moment. Pretty sure it did. Went to sleep. Woke up. My phone battery was empty lol. Still in the recharger. Did some stuff, let it recharge some more. Got it to boot up again. Now touch screen doesn't work anymore . Tried wiping cache, factory reset. Still not working.
I have cm-10.1.3-RC2-mint installed. I think I might have to update it. This could be the problem.
Any more tips for if it doesn't work? never had this problem before. I hope it is a software thingy.
I updated the firmware but still doesn't work. I think im gonna re-install the stock firmware, and flash a stock kernel which will unroot my mobile. Any tips? please? I can't use my phone at all atm. It just stays at the cyanogenmod install screen..

I would like to try that thing with adb, but as I have already reinstalled cyanogenmod, developer options/debugging is turned off. I can't use ADB. Unless you know another way.
So this is totally getting out of hand.. (and I don't know if that is also a english expression lol).
I tried reflashing a stock firmware. Worked, but touchscreen still doesn't work. Then I noticed, that I now don't have cwm anymore... how the f?
SO I probably forgot to exclude the kernel. So now I tried reflashing a kernel with cwm, but flashtool doesn't recognize the kernel files... I don't know what is going on..
Ah already found the problem. Got cwm back phewww..
So here is what needs to be done. I want to try gregbradleys adb shell fix but my usb debugging is off and this means that I can't use adb, as I don't have touchscreen.
So, is there any way, any way at all, to enable usb debugging without touching the screen? Maybe a kernel with that settings automaticly set?
Im getting a bit angry at my phone now.. I didn't even do anything to break it in the first place. Just tried recharging it, and that killed the touchscreen? lol. Help will be appreciated. Im out of ideas.
Get a usbotg cable and attach a usb mouse
Then use that to turn debugging on
When you flash a stock firmware you lose recovery.

thanks, I'll get one tomorrow. I hope it will help. You've helped me before so im pretty confident that you fix my problem again haha. You are a boss.
A non responsive touch screen happened to me too after I flashed a wrong firmware. I flashed back the version that was on before, but it didn't help. Only after I flashed this (pretty old) version Xperia T - 7.0.A.1.303 Generic DE with Flashtool, the touch screen started to working again. I am not sure, maybe any ftf would work. But I know that I had success with this one.
You should try gregbradleys method first though. Funny, that your touch screen stopped working, without you modifying anything. Hopefully it's not a hardware problem.

hmmm, I tried this and it worked. problem solved. I did however not have wrong firmware installed, but it was an rc2 version of cm. So it can be unstable and stuff, but this was kind of a big problem.

Hey, glad your phone is ok again. I remember when that happened to me. I just had the phone for a couple weeks. Shat my pants, thinking I wrecked it. It worked out at the end, though. Feels good to recover a bricked phone, doesn't it.
Sorry to bump

I had the same problem as OP and resolved it using SEUS - can confirm that it works.
Download SUS (formerly SEUS) from here: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

Firstly i want to note that my battery is certainly dead, and i can't charged it beacause of the restart/boot loop that i mentioned in my early posts...if yes, can you guys provide me with necesary tools, firmaware and stuff, because after all the attempts i tried, i'm afraid to do something else to the phone. I mean i was stupid in the first place to not ask how to do it properly, and i don't want to lose the phone...
And sorry if my English is rough

Bricked!! -.-
Hey guys, I don't know if this is out of topic but since this is for xperia z bricked, I'll show my problem.
So, I updated my xperia z for 3 times since I bought it, It came with Android 4.2.2 and the updates were all OTA.
Then, sudently It started to reboot itself and entering in bootloop.. Then, I tried to use flashtool but always gave me error about S1 flash, and then "Error: Flash Aborted"
So I tried to unlock my bootloader several times (Yes, several times, because it was always saying ok, but then it was showing "ROOTABLE") then, when I Finally got it unlocked, I couldn't flash anything because it was gaving me error saying that couldn't write boot.. Then, Tried Pc companion but again, failed, and my phone was stuck in "Update failed (...)"
Then finally, I flashed advanced kernel by DoomLord and entered in CWM, but when I tried to wipe factory reset, It was saying that couldn't mount data.. Then, I have formated the Data and Media (SD Card) And then, I was able to do factory reset, but, then, I went to advance and did reboot recovery.. My phone turned off, but never came on... I arrived at home and connect ti to wall charger, but no sign of life, nothing, not even red led or anytihng.. NOTHING!! Don't know what happened.. I really need help on this man, please :c

Zony Z1 C6902 No signal

Hey guys. I got this problem:
One day in the morning the cellphone lost signal and never got it back. As i believed it was a software issue (coz the cellphone was on and suddenly signal dissapeared) i tried to flash a ROM and do a lot of stuff. In Venezuela we have no Sony Center. At the end my cellphone finished with CM11 and no IMEI. If u have any solution for this, I'll be really grateful. Thanks in advance for ur time.
Try wiping all data and flashing a full FTF using flashtool, if that doesnt work, then im afraid u r gonna have to get a new phone:good:
How many roms have you flashed anyway?
Provide some more detailed info about how and when this happened.does the phone detect the sim card?
Does the stock sony rom by any chance go on a reboot loop when starting ,because that happened to me when my old xperia z's baseband died:angel:
Good Luck,I hope you fix your phone quickly

Thanks for writting. It started suddenly, i though it was an update. I've flashed like 4 ROMS (dont remember which ones tho). The cellphone detects SIM Card but cant register to any network. When I installed other ROMS it got on a reboot loop. I also think maybe i have to get a new phone and use this one as a mini tablet. Once again, thanks for leaving an answer
