all custom rom base on 4.4.4 stock have them already: CriskeloROM, kitslim, RomAur, except pure stock by NUT
mod here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730097

This kind of thread not suppose to be here at all.

Super easy to get on NUT's rom..
Root whatever software you're on now with whatever tool you wish, I used TowelRoot on 4.4.2
Install/Update to the latest XZDR Recoveries, make a NANDROID BACKUP
Wipe everything, and flash latest NUT rom for 4.4.4
DeOdex that rom by flashing the ZIP he provides ****** VERY IMPORTANT YOU DEODEX ******
Install Xposed & Xperia Xposed by Serajr, reboot
(Optional) Confirm stable ROM still, make another BACKUP
Flash the 4K patches found on this forum - there's two popular ones, I've tried both, both work for me.
(Optional) Send me $950 so I can buy an Xperia Z2

Please do not continue to spam this thread.
I have reported it to the mods, the will deal with it.
And in answer. Yes there is, you will find a load of them in the search function.

Question about Kernel

Hello,
i'm new here
Sorry for my bad English, hope you guys understand me.
I got a Z1 and its already rootet with 4.3 (Pure Stock v1.0 [Minimal].zip) + unlocked bootloader + doomkernel + ihackers v1.0
I got some problems with the system and so i saw the update ihackers v2.0. I thought maybe the Problems are gone with this Update.
So far so good.
I read the Tutorial for the Update with an unlocked Bootloader.
But i have still some Questions about it.
Reinstall Your Desired Kernel.
Click to collapse
What does that exactly mean?
Why should i reinstall a desired Kernel? At the Beginning of the Tutorial i have to install the iHackers Kernel v2.0 [Xperia Z1].zip File, and at the End i should reinstall another Kernel? Why?
Is the iHackers Kernel not 'good' enough or just need for the Installation for the other Steps?
Currently i have the Doomkernel on it. I was told this one should be very good for my Z1.
Dont know what should i do. Hope you guys can help me out with this.

You don't need to install another Kernel, he was just giving you the option if you wanted to install another one. The Kernel you have is perfectly fine. Don't worry.

"Reinstall your desired kernel" is written because in the installation of iHackers ROM, it asks you to choose the kernel you want to install (before the last step of the setup if I remember correctly). Nothing's wrong with the iHackers kernel, but they are telling you that if you like another kernel and want to use that kernel instead, then you can just go for it. They're telling you that you can choose your kernel.

Thanks Guys!
Now i get it. It only a "choose what u like" Option.
I installed the ROM and there was an Option about which Kernel i prefer to install, so i choose the Doomkernel. And anything was good.
At the first booting the bootanimation doesnt stop.. i thought damn, thats too long. After maybe 10 Seconds the Bootanimations dissapeared and the Display was Black and begun to boot again... damn... is that a Bootloop? Nope, the Bootanimation did take not so long and the Menu appeared very fast. Lucky you!
Did you guys know the different about the iHackers & DooMKernel ?
Which of them would you prefer and why?
The only difference I can see is the boot animation (of the kernel, not the firmware) and the recoveries.
Doomkernel has CWM and TWRP, iHackers has Philz and TWRP.
It's really up to you, as I can live with both of them feeling no difference but the recoveries (I don't really care about booting animation).

iHackers Advanced Stock Kernel seems to be quite similar to stock, as the name suggests.

[Q] Xperia Z C6603 Deodexd Rom [Android 4.3] [10.4.B.0.569]

Hi there,
Some days ago I tried to install the Cyber-shot mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2613633) on my Xperia Z but every time my Camera got stuck with a blackscreen, so I figured out which problems i have and I saw its recommended to install Deodexed ROM. I came to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567413&page=3) and now I'm confused. It gave me three Options to install it, but i dont know which one I should use and on which ROM/FW my ROM/MOD or what ever is based on.
My Device:
-Xperia Z
-Android: 4.3 Jelly Bean
-Model number: C6603
-Build-Number: 10.4.B.0.569
-Mods/ROMs: Clockwork mod (I dont know which Version, but i think the latest...) Its the Clockwork Mod Recovery 6.0.4.5 I hope that helps
-Bootloader unlocked: Yes
-Root: Yes, no one click root, I did it with Fastboot
And when I install the Deodexed ROM will all my data be deleted and do i lose my CWM? I'm very new to this so I'm sorry if this is a noob question I would really use the full potential of my Camera so thank you for your help
I hope this is all you need to help me. If not, I'll gave you more Information
Fehnsify
PS.: I cant post under these two threads so please don't say I have to ask there And yes, I used the search to find this problem here, but i found nothing... (I used google too )
PPS.: Sorry for my bad english
Nobody??

[Q] Root without Flashing?

Absolute beginner. Please help. Following questions very likely have been asked before and answered. In that case please direct me to the relevant thread/s.
1. I have just unlocked the bootloader of my kitkat (4.4.4 -- 10.5.1.A.0.283);
2. Is it possible to root without flashing a custom ROM?
3. Can we use Sony's flashtool (called Emma) to flash a non-sony ROM?

Flash prerooted stock based ROM
Same (or better) stock ROMs experience with extra ROOT and dual recovery and also no need for unlocking your bootloader
And you can't use Emma to flash non stock ROMs
And please do not post your questions here ok?

TapaTalked from my Xperia™ Z (C660²) running Dirty Unicorns ROM!

A Good KitKat (4.4) Rom for XSP ???

I've been using CM12 Sabermod for a few months now but lately my phone has started to lag a lot, I've experience the same problems with other Lollipop based ROMs too. I never had this problem in 4.3 but I had to move to 5.1 since some apps that I use daily required KitKat or higher.
So my question is - is there any good KitKat ROM for XSP? If yes, how can I get the best performance for multitasking?
Before change to KK, I should ask: Do you already flash the most recent build?
Another is: Have yout try move apps to SD card?
Another one: Try to clean Cache on the Settings -> Storage (and then Reboot)?
And Clean cache of some apps too manually.
Remembering that to flash a the most recent build, you doesnt need to Backup, BUT... Just for convenience do it.
If none of those above options function well for you, indeed there is a stable and fast KK to our lovely (and hated) SP.
Options I recommend: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64991746&postcount=1320
Or
Last release from CM Team
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=huashan&type=snapshot
Both are great in performance and multitask like the JB 4.3 Stock.
Is there a good one which has Stock features? As in it has the basic Sony apps. They were quite nifty.

I dont think so :/
I can recommend snapshot KK too which im using right now http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=huashan&type=snapshot with kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764939
Another good one was http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...anogenmod-11-locked-bootloader-users-t2868398 before I unlocked bootloader.
I havent tried CM13 but cm12.1 never worked out for me properly, either low amount of ram/no deep sleep or other problems such as wifi.
Ok I'll try them out. But I'm looking for something based on the Xperia stock OS.

What apps from the stock Xperia ROM do you want to find in another ROM?
I'm using the KK based MIUI 7 port, and it's been good so far. Check the thread.

Just get Xposed Installer from here : http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer , install it and open the app -go to Framework-select Install/Update - reboot the phone. Done :good:
Tried using CM11 snapshot and William's kernel as adviced by one of the members above. Currently phone hangs and the screen bleeds and then reboots. Really sad. Any advice?

Hi, try OmniX ROM - fast, a lot of free memory and no lags at all (I used that with stock kernel):

OK I'm going to try this. Should I clean wipe the phone or should I flash stock first?

Hi, a clean wipe should be enough. I did factory reset / wipe data, format system, cache and data, wipe dalvik, then install in that order:
OmniX-Rom, recommended gapps, SU-update. Please confirm to fix super user when asked, then reboot into system. First boot will take some minutes (less than 5).
Which recovery do you recommend I flash for this?

I think I know what ROM you need: search for z3experiencesp (the kitkat version).

I would try that rom if the led bar was working exactly as it does in the stock firmwares (you know, receiving phone calls, viewing images, making a call etc.). There isn't a way to duplicate that functionality level since it's cyanogenmod-based, right?

Looking for untouched official stock rom image of Xperia SP...

Tried different custom roms and now want to install official rom again.
I just want an untouched image (or at least without ANY modifications) so I can get feel of JB again.
Please share links from where I can download it and install on my SP.
Thanks in advance. :highfive:

The FTFs online are untouched and you can download and flash them safely. This require Googling by yourself
However if you still paranoid, you can resort to the XperiFirm method.
you can try UItimate PureXSP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658043
