Loving the watch, but ever since I changed this setting to hide cards on dimmed screen it now does the exact opposite. Every time I get a notification it lights up the watch with the full card, not just the text at the bottom.
I've disconnected and reconnected the watch, restarted the watch, and nothing works. Anybody have this issue?

Same here. I came here looking to see if anyone else had the issue. Changing the setting on the phone seems to do nothing. Did you figure out a solution?
I have access to a G Watch also, so I'll check the behavior there as well.
As far as I can tell this setting accomplishes what I was after. That is, when the watch dims, the top portion of the card that normally would still be there is now hidden.

Today this random notification popped up on my phone and i wanted to know if it was legit and not some malicious app or anything like that. A screen shot is attached.
I long pressed the notification and pressed app info and i took me to the dialer. I dont know if that is of importance.

I have never seen this extension pop-up, I would say its mostly likely spam or advert. I would download Airpush Detector from the android market and see what is says. I have included a link for you too. Hope this helps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brosmike.airpushdetector&feature=nav_result
I had this about a week ago too. I haven't seen it since...

Me too. Popped up a few weeks ago. Then went away.
Today its back
Can you both list the apps you have installed? I will download the same apps and try and troubleshoot for you. Thanks

Try and boot the phone in safe mode (switch the phone off, switch on normally but when the screen lights up, press and hold volume down until booted). This will prevent any 3rd party apps from starting. Then see if you get the notification still.

I just got my phone today and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this or not but every time the phone boots up I get the notification pop-up reminder to keep all ports closed. Is this normal? For some reason I thought it was only showing if something was opened. I searched for "waterproof notification" but found nothing relevant.
Just click on the do not show this again button

Another idea: Uninstall smart connect.
How does that help?
Hi, just wanted to check whether is it normal for the Bluetooth to appear connecting to Pebble on notification bar even when your Pebble is not turned on or not with you?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Weird, but happened to me the last days...
I got a response from Pebble that we need to force close it.. Although it solved it, I felt that the app should be intelligent enough to close itself if no Pebble is connected after a predetermined time, say after 30 seconds.
The fastest way to do a force close is using the Notification bar, press and hold on the Pebble app, click on App info, click on Force close. Now you're done.

Thread started for reporting what may be bugs and troubleshooting them. Searched forum for "bug" by title, so there must not be one dedicated to this.
Lock screen timeout: when I hit the power or home button to interact with the lock screen or check the notification window, the lock screen turns back off before I can do anything. It stays on no more than a second. Very weird since I haven't installed anything that would cause this.
Auto Brightness: my phone seems to only care if I'm in complete darkness or bright sunlight. It's not hitting the in-between brightness very well. I've found myself turning off auto several times the past couple weeks. Annoying because I don't like taking screen real estate to leave the brightness adjuster in the notification window.
Feel free to refute, commiserate, or solve as needed. Thanks.

I have ran into the auto brightness thing a couple times. Ironically my xda app will force close at random times.

This just happened. Anyone else? It's supposed to be a picture of my new lawn tractor, not a tan blob. Happened three times. Reboot and wiping cache didn't help.

Every time I call somebody my phone would turn off the screen automatically it would still call them so I have to turn it back on by pressing the power button to use the phone again but with my old phone it had this thing called proximity sensor where it would turn off the screen when I put it up to my ear
Is there a setting like that on the note 4? I searched like on my other phone I have to open the phone app and then call settings but on this one it just settings and looked but cant find anything

theres absolutely a proximity sensor, it's only disabled in speakerphone or if you switch away from the phone app

I know you're trying to help but I don't think you understand what I am looking for and trying to do....
I am looking for an option either the exact option name as of my other phone or a similar one
to not automatically turn off the screen right as soon as I press the call button and only turn off the screen when I put it up to my ear
The exact option name on my other phones is “Turn on proximity sensor”
I have looked in the phone settings I found nothing saying that but now you're saying you tried it and works? What did you do? What are you talking about?...
Sent from my SM-T210R using XDA Free mobile app
I cant find the option but mine is doing it by default yes. so i think you have a bad sensor

So you're saying yours stays on when placing a call? But when you put it up to your face it turns off?
Edit: now my screen doesn't even turn off anymore it stays on even tried putting it up to my ear and it still stays on... I have to deal with this tomorrow...

That is how the phone works. You need to go back to stock with Odin. Root then try. Something might of got messed up in your flash. Also make sure no mods are turned on.

Thanks but figured it out! (I'm a... something haha)
The problem with the phone not turning off at all while making a call anymore was because I had head phones in I took those off and it turned off (why it doesn't turn off when you put it up to your ear when you have headphones beats me...)
Now for my original problem I totally spaced and just figured out a few mins ago but I have like a temp screen protector over the whole device and its covering up all the sensors and front facing camera so I took that off and the proximity sensor feature works now lol so thanks guys for replying haha
