Hi,
I searched for the solution, but only came up with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4937350 ... I do not understand how to get the HTC ADP1 Update and how this would differ considering that I am now using Cyanogen's latest version 4.2.10. Is there a Gmail.apk that I can just apply to reinstall the gmail component? Please help... any assistance is much appreciated.
Lack of info = lack of real world solution
What EXACTLY happens?
What solutions did you try before posting?
What is your exact configuration (hardware, rom, theme, any hacks?)
When did it start (new problem or followed you from different rom)
Only sending or sending and receiving.
Can't quite help you before we know all those things but you can:
1. Manually re-sync Google apps to see if it helps
2. Clear data/cache from Gmail and/or other Google apps
3. Wipe and reinstall HTC ADP1 update and then CM's rom
Good luck
Thanks borodin1,
The problem is this: whenever I use Noteeverything or any app that has a share option, I cannot seem to send the message using my Gmail app. I believe the problem only started ever since Cyanogen changed the manner he distributes his Rom right after the C&D issue.
When I press "send", the message appears in my inbox with a small description "sending..." but is stuck in my outbox forever. I have tried manually syncing it to no effect. I can send using my "email" app frm my other accounts (hotmail), but the gmail app does not seem to work. There is some transfer of data (as seen from the 3G) for about 1 second, and then nothing.
Although I can send using my other account, I am just a bit curious what can be done to resolve the gmail app problem. As far as I know, Cyanogen's roms have pretty much worked perfectly for me without any need for wipes to be implemented. I am reluctant to wipe due to all the apps I have installed and the time consuming prospect. However, if it is the only option, then I will do it.
By the way, how would I reinstall the HTC ADP1 update? Is there a link to the update? Thanks for your time again.

SOLUTIONS (try 1) then 2) if 1) did not work for you):
1) you can go into settings, manage applications, and find gmail and gmail storage and clear data for both. if there is cache tab available clear that too. then open up your gmail and let it resync everything.
2) back up ur ext, wipe your data, wipe your dalvik-cache, wipe your ext. flash the htc image i have provided below then do not restart. immediately apply cyan's latest rom next. then reboot. set everything up first. then use a theme if u want and reboot. this should fix everything.

So Im wondering if this is a general bug or just me:
I am running stock gingerbread installed by OTA, and the stock messaging app. The thing is when I try to delete a thread, it deletes all the messages in the thread but then it doesnt delete the thread itself, instead it just leaves the thread hanging there with no messages and I cant find a way to delete it...
Before the OTA this didnt happen, so Im wondering if this is a bug with the gingerbread stock messaging app or some glitch from the update?!
Could it be something to do with the cache?
Try restarting your phone, or deleting cache?
I've long pressed>delete thread and had the whole entire thread remain, but after deleting it a second time it actually gets deleted...
First of all thanks for the input!
I've rebooted the phone a couple times (mostly because I ran out of battery ) and still no go.
I've also tried deleting it over and over again, and still no go!
When you say delete cache, which cache do you mean exacly? Because on the applications menu I dont get an active clear cache button for the messaging app, just a clear data (which Im afraid will delete my message settings or even my messages)...
I just checked, on my phone and your right, cache isn't an option.
Clearing app data probably will delete everything too.
Idk, sorry.
So I deleted all of my message threads by using the "delete threads" option in the messaging app menu, and now I am able to delete the new threads!
Must have been some issue with importing the threads from 2.2.2... weird!
Hi,
I'm not yet allowed to post in the dev section to report bugs with GingerDX, so I'm forced to do it here. I was wondering if anyone else noticed their accounts for stuff like Facebook, Skype, Viber, etc. missing from the Accounts Management page after rebooting the phone under GingerDX? The Google account remains, but all the others are gone. I've noticed this behaviour on both v005 and v006. It's a real pain having to reconfigure the accounts each time I reboot...
I did a full wipe and davlik cache wipe when installing both versions, so it's not anything related to previous ROMs.
Noone else has this problem?

Dev section isn't the place to report bugs. You already posted in the correct place. Anyway, to answer your question, that doesn't happen to me at all. Have you tried a full wipe?
That's weird. Never experienced that before.

Well i found the soluction for my problem, my facebook and Twitter accounts were stored in the Sdcard, and everytime i reboot the phone the accounts were wiped and i need to login again, when i changed those 2 apps to the internal memory, the accounts weren't wiped after the reboot, so if you have those apps in the sdcard move them to the internal memory and taht should solve the problem.
Sorry for my english!.
hope it was helpfull!
Does clearing the data using CLEAR DATA from one of the choices the Manage Applications then going to ALL delete the application?
Does it uninstall/delete the application completely? Or is it more like a clear browser cache type of clear?
If it does delete, is it possible for me to accidentally delete an essential android system file that I will not be able to recover? (I have no plans of modding or changing roms etc)
For example, the Camera app, if I press CLEAR DATA will it remove it permanently?
What if I accidentally delete something essential?
Thanks.
Documents Storage Stops when Attempting to Attach File
Disclosure: I'm running the latest Nightly of CM13 on my H811 (T-Mobile) LG G4
I'm posting this as a new General Thread, in case the issue's cause is related to a non-CM problem. Thanks in advance any Solution(s) / Ideas!
Symptom: Whenever I attempt to attach a picture file to a Tweet or Email, the system throws an error with the pop up message:
"Unfortunately, Documents has Stopped."
This is a repeatable, consistent failure. I have attempted to troubleshoot the problem by:
Clearing Dalvik Cache
Clearing General Cache
Reinstalling the Twitter App
During my research I found a thread where someone mentions "Resetting Permissions," but I have not found the steps necessary to do this. I'm looking forward to a solution that doesn't involve me completely wiping my phone (again) and reinstalling/configuring it!
Same problem with a Galaxy S6
I have this exact same problem. For me, it occurs whenever I attempt to attach a file from within the Chrome browser, particularly when using the Facebook mobile site. Clearing app caches and data sometimes fixes it temporarily, but not for long.

I found doing a bare metal reload of the latest versions of TWRP, CM13 & GApps has solved my attachment crash issues.
