Win 8.1?
If so you will need to use another PC not running Win 8.1 to update your hboot to 1.55 or higher

I can't check if cellphone is in Debugging mode or not because when i turn on the cellphone i see HTC logo and then nothing happens. cell phone is stuck on HTC Logo
Use latest HTC drivers and don't forget to remove HTC Sync if installed. Also try another usb port and another usb cable.
I have installed latest drivers through HTC Sync then UNinstall HTC Sync software
Use 2 different Data cables. Tried different USB ports but every time i attach HTC Incredible S computer can't find any Android Device in device manager. On the other hand when i attach HTC sensation Device manager recognise the android device.
if i cant solve this problem then my guess is that every time i try to run RUU i will get Error 170 so please help me out guy ....

Can you still get to the HBOOT menu? If so, does the device show up if you select the FASTBOOT option on the HBOOT screen?
It should change the screen to FASTBOOT USB mode.

What happns if you select FASTBOOT from that same menu? It should change to FASTBOOT USB and then check Device Manager again.
If so, yes I would go ahead and try running the RUU again.
i did select FastBoot and it changes into FastBoot USB
and then i run RUU RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.11.405.2_Radio_20.4805.30.0822U_3822.01.08.14_M_release_252414_signed_4

Well you could put it into HBOOT USB mode and try running the RUU again and see if there is any difference.
when i go for HBOOT USB mode i get
ERROR [120]: MAIN BATTERY POWER
This error message will appear when the Android phone’s battery power is not sufficient (Batter power should be more than 30%). Although RUU will instruct you to plug in the AC adapter, it will still need to make sure that your Android phone has enough power to complete the update. (The Android phone cannot charge the battery when it is connected to the PC while installing the RUU).

Can some one please provide me ROM.zip file only ?
The method is worth a shot.. the Rom.zip file will be here when u are running the RUU.. just copy/paste it on desktop in the process
c:/your user name/appdata/local/temp and search rom.zip

I had something like that before when I tried to go back to stock. Basically I flashed the RUU, got rid of cwm recovery and all that, and I ended up getting stuck on the HTC logo white screen, with it refusing to boot.
I ended up going back to cwmr and a custom ROM.
So maybe the best way for you to be able to use your phone would be to go and put a custom ROM on it. However mine was S-OFF so it was easy for me to flash recovery again, I've forgotten how to go S-OFF from S-ON but you should be able to do it without booting.
However I would also know how to go back to stock.
Yea you can use PG32IMG.ZIP method.
If still not , Unlock your bootloader and install a custom rom.
I will use this method once i get back home
run the ruu again in pc.. and extract the rom.zip from temp folder in pc.. it will be in c drive-your user name-appdata-local-temp and search rom.zip.. rename it to PG32IMG.ZIP make sure its not PG32IMG.ZIP.ZIP

Fastboot not working on my HTC One

Hi all,
I can't get my phone recognised when it's in fastboot mode. I tried all the drivers i found (my PC runs W8.1), with or without HTC Sync installed, with different adb and fastboot aplications but still nothing. Also I noticed that when I connect my phone to the PC in fastboot mode it in the beginning shows "FASTBOOT" and then, if I go up/down, it starts showing "FASTBOOT USB".
I don't know how to fix this. Can someone help me please?
Thank you all very much!
Which version of Win are you running?
And, if you open the device manager how is recognized the phone?
Fastboot usb is normal, try using win 7 instead of win 8, I had the same problem

I guess I'll paste my answer from the last post asking the same question
You'll need another PC to make it work.
The only for sure way to get fastboot working on windows 8.1 is to update your hboot to 1.55.000 and up or the hboot 1.54.000 from the GPE from the Android 4.4 update. Once your on these hboot fastboot and adb work fine in windows 8.1 x86 or x64.
the dark bootloader files here are all updated to the newer version hboot
http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/firmware-downloads/
You need S-off for these to work

Hi, my PC runs Windows 8.1 32bit. If my phone is normally on, my PC recognizes it as "Android Devices", My HTC or something similar. If my phone is in the bootloader my device manager recognised it as unknown USB device, with error 43.

So you're saying I need to upload my HBoot to 1.55 and then it will work? The problem is that I can't get my One S-Off if my PC doesn't recognize it when in fastboot mode, so I guess I can't upload the HBoot yet.

ADB Works but Fastboot does not...
So tonight I decided to venture into the idea of pushing the GPE on to my HTC One. I unlocked the bootloader and got S-Off (The 2 prerequisites for the conversion). I loaded TWRP for the recovery mod and rooted it by installing SuperUser. Then came time to push the GPE RUU over to the phone using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
Before I pushed the ROM my bootloader screen looked like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r7jodkxh8gq7epy/2014-04-22 21.07.51.jpg
When I was pushing it, everything stalled, and it disconnected from the computer. I now no longer have any access to the Fastboot, my computer is saying that the usb device is not recognized by my computer and my bootloader screen now looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0zap1jiykeqrd9a/2014-04-23 00.00.06.jpg
If I boot into Android, it boots up in the stock AT&T version and I still have ADB control over USB. I run the prompt [ADB reboot bootloader] and it does what it is supposed to, boots it up to the bootloader, but again it is the broken version that I have no access to fastboot with.
I can still load up TWRP and run anything in there that I need. I have tried clearing all caches and doing factory resets with no success. I am at a loss and everything I am finding online is telling me that it is a driver issue or windows 8.1 issue, but if that were the case, then why would I have had Fastbook access before attempting to push the GPE ROM?
Any help here would be amazing. The phone still works as a phone which is a plus, but I would really like to be able to either successfully load the Google Play Edition on it or get everything back to stock for warranty reasons. Thanks so much for your help in advance!! I look forward to trying some new solutions soon!

It's because you're original hboot was 1.55 which works with Win 8.1, but after the first flash hboot got downgraded and therefore "broke" for Win8.1.
Use a Windows 7 PC to complete the conversion, or if you don't have access to one, you can make an Ubuntu Live USB (you can check in my guide under the FAQs how to do that).
and do not ever go S-On again!!!!
@nkk71 Is there any way to get the hboot back to 1.55? I did get it working last night by accident. I used my wife's Win7 computer just to try a different USB port, didn't know why it fixed it but just went with it hoping to understand it later. I would however love to get my phone back to a state that I don't feel like it is broken when I load the bootloader.
Thanks for the response though. Glad I at least understand what happened to it.

[Q] Nexus 6 not recognized by pc after been fully wiped out

Hi guys
Really need urgent help on this one
I wanted to update my nexus 6 to latest5.0.1.
Usually i flash factory images but this time i tried to sideload. This is what i did.
I wanted to factory reset my phone and wipe everything and then side load. so i used TWRP and wiped by mistake the android OS. Now im left with nothing but twrp which also deleted my recovery file.
Now i can access my bootloader and twrp.
My main problem is that when i plug my phone to my pc it does not recognize it and i tried every possible way suggested by NRT tool to update my driver and no luck?
When i plug it to the pc it charges and i get baloon message that pc did not recognized the device.
Im using original cable.
Any help is really appreciated
Thanks

Debugging is both impossible and useless.
Can't set USB debugging if android is not installed. USB debugging only works in android anyway. It has no affect on bootloader or recovery

I'd uninstall, then reinstall, or try the universal ones.

Is your usb cable a data cable or only a charging cable? Make sure its data capable, not only charging cable, try another cable, try another port (usb 2.0).
What is your version of htc drivers?

Latest HTC drivers, tried 4 cables, multiple USB ports along with other computers. It is not a driver issue because the phone doesn't say FASTBOOT-USB nor is it shown in device manager.

I guess that if your phone isn't detected both in windows and ubuntu its maybe a bad usb port on the phone or maybe a corrupted bootloader.
What caused the bootloop?

CM12 was installed then about 2 months later the screen was replaced (Phone was apparently completely drained), is there a way to fix a corrupted bootloader?
Have stumbled upon this https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/167884/iPhone+5s+-+Infinite+boot+loop+(after+screen+replacement
Hmmm this guy seems to have the same issue. I'm guessing a screw in the wrong spot causes some kind of short? Even though each screw had a different size and thread.

What is your bootloader (hboot) version?
What is your computer OS version?
What are your drivers version?
What adb version are you using?
Make sure you have everything up to date and you should be able to have fastboot connectivity when booted in bootloader / fastboot usb mode. If you have hboot 1.44, you will need Windows 7, Linux or MacOS to use fastboot since its not working correctly with Windows 8/10 (not a problem with newer hboot versions).
Also make sure you are using the original usb cable and not only a usb power cable (without data connectivity). Only use usb 2.0 ports directly on your computer (no external hub). Make sure HTC Sync is NOT installed on your computer.
