Hi folks,
i've flashed the bootloader of my i9305 with a wrong version, meant for a i7100 ... I've mismatched two directories while choosing it from Odin.
The result is that the phone boots, but the touchscreen is unresponsive. Only the two softbuttons right and left of the home button give a response. The hardware buttons works properly, so I think it's a software problem.
I've flashed a stock rom, it worked through but without any positive effect.
What can I do to fix this ?
In this video you'll see that the phone seems to work, but I can't go further than the welcome screen.

Thank you very much !

I think you fried your digitizer by flashing the wrong bootloader, The digitizer fried because I7100 digitizer uses a higher voltage than I9305. When the I7100 kernel was flashed, higher voltage was given to the digitizer. Somebody else may have a better solution but for me the only way to repair it is to flash to stock and replace the digitizer.

Hi Lucas,
many thanks for your advice. I wan't aware of this different voltage. Too bad.
So, I've just ordered a new digitizer+screen, 66 euros on ebay. I hope it'll help !

it worked. I changed the package LCD+touch+frontscreen, very easy to do and my phone worked again in less than 15 minutes.
Good to know. ?

Hi
Quick question. I don't know if anyone experienced that with Xperia T. I seem to have the same problem with it as with previous X8 and X10. Screen stays blank after switching on. Just backlight comes on but nothing else. Touch panel still responds as it should but no information visible phone is kinda useless. Just wondered if anyone knows how to fix this. Would it be hardware problem which seems to be going on for quite a while then in sonys mobiles or is it just software glitch? I would buy new screen but not sure if this will fix it.
Phone is updated to latest available firmaware. Done it yesterday with SUS.
Thanks

PC companion stops half way through the process. I've used the other standalone sonys update service to upgrade the phone which has done it no problem but still nothing visible on screen. Only brightens up slightly when switched on but nothing whatsoever visible.

Hi
Sorry, forgot to add earlier. No, nothing was done. No bootloader unlocking, no rooting, no other flashing. It just happened when I switched it on couple of days ago. I did have same/similar problem with X10 some time ago but along with just backlight on the screen (nothing else) but phone was in boot loop at the same time. This one just stays on for whatever time you want it and you can hear sounds and feel vibrating when using touch panel. Just trying to determine if it's something simple like faulty lcd (not cheap at all thoguh) or even if I splash out for a new lcd it will not help.
If you have not flashed anything, take it back to the shop for a new one

Hi
Yes I did. Fitted new screen! Only £160 pretty much the same as new phone now.
Was your phone damaged in any way (spilled water on it, dropped it)?

No man, she just was charging it up, then she plugged it out, and after that it was working but with the screen off , so is it a hardware problem and not software problem?

In my case was hardware. In yours might be not. I'm not that much of an expert so my only suggestion would be to do hard reset. Did you try that? Hold power button for about 15-20 sec.

My Incredible S has a touch screen fault. There is a area in the middle of the screen that does not respond to touch - see attachment.
I have fitted a new digitizer screen thinking that would cure the fault, but unfortunately the problem still remains.
Does anyone know what causes this and is there a solution?

i did it in INR2000 and now my INCs runs flawlessly and smoothly

Brother I too have the same problem but I just bought and replaced the digitizer worth 1500 INR, Still the problem persists. I wanted to know what do u mean by saying "touch pad" ? Is it the digitizer ?
I am sorry if its a silly question
I've been having problems with the sensitivity of the top 2mm of my phone's screen. I don't remember when it started but I think it was around a couple of months ago.
Before, it was only difficult for me to swipe the notification bar down, but now, I can no longer swipe it down unless I rotate the screen.
I don't remember how or exactly when it started, but I remember that I was using ARHD 70.0, then I updated to 71.1 in attempt to fix it, but it only worked for a while but it came back again. I also tried other roms such as MaximusHD and Eragon but still the same. I also tried rebooting to safe mode but still the same. I also used both stock and elemental sense kernels.
I updated my firmware back then to 6.06 and now to 6.07 but still nothing. I haven't tried downgrading yet though.
I tried using the line draw test and the result is found below.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I already searched xda and google but i found no solution to my problem.
It could be a hardware related issue. If it's still under warranty revert it to stock and re-lock the bootloader and just send it back.

Has your device been dropped or been water damaged? The digitizer connection from the mb could have became a bit loose.
*Edit*
I have read on a forum for the HTC One X which seems to have a similar issue to yours where a part of the screen is unresponsive. Someone suggested to clean the connector.

I see, I'll look for it there, though I'm not sure how to clean the connector. Thanks!

I did some more research about it and people are saying it is a digitizer issue. So replacing the digitizer should fix it, but you will need to buy the lcd and digitizer together as its nearly impossible to replace them separate from eachother.
Quote from androidcentral
It's definitely a hardware issue. I have been dealing with the same issue for about 6 months now. When I try to swipe down to bring up the notification bar I get absolutely no feedback . If I give it a smack with my palm near the top corners I can often times get it to start working again. However, it's usually short lived.

I see. Thank you very much for the help. I think I'll just send this to the service center when I get the chance. I will probably ask them to fix the red tinted camera as well. I just hope it won't be too expensive.
You have a dead spot. Sorry kid. If updating the OS still gives you the funk, you need a new screen.

Any one has any ideas whats the problem? I have changed battery from working model but nothing so it should be something with motherboard. But what?

Hello i had same problem with phone. Totally dead, then i read on forum that it is probably pmi8994 chip on motherboard that was defected. I order that chip from aliexpress( must know what version is chip on your phone). Mine was pmi8994 002. I paid 8$ on aliexpress for two of them(you need only one) and 35$ for replacement. After replacement it come alive and working fine more than half year. I hope this will help.

Hi there,
so for a few weeks now my touchscreen hasn't been working anymore.
Power and Volume buttons are working fine.
At first i shut my screen off again and again until i the touchscreen responded.
But since today I couldn't get my touchscreen to work.
The touchscreen also doesn't respond in TWRP Recovery.
So does this mean that my touchscreen is defect?
It never fell down the glass is not broken. The problem occurred suddenly.
I am rooted and my bootloader is also unlocked.
I am on Resurrection Remix 5.8.0 N.
Fresh Rom installs didn't help sadly.
For now I am using my phone with a mouse via USB OTG..
I hope that someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance.
