This Thread Is Meant For Unbricking Gionee M2 Device.
Gionee M2 is an awesome device with mediatek 6582 super fast quad core processor loaded with Mali-400 Gpu.Unfortunately I had hardbricked this device thanks to avi3230 for helping me out.Gionee m2 is also rebranded as walton primo hm.
Note:-This is my first thread please tell me if there any mistakes or u won't understand any part of it.All the links have been uploaded by me so if u get any download error let me know.
Important: Download and install gionee phone drivers from here or the process will fail and please read all the points.
Methods:-Using Sp Flash Tools Use tool provided in link don't use old version
NOTE:-For sd ram fail error 4032 u need windows xp to unbrick since installing drivers in windows 7 is big mess which u have to do manually so install xp then do this

Update:- Since many of u people know gionee had launched kitkat update which is done through flash tools and I knew many of u would have bricked your phone so don't worry just follow the steps and use the kitkat firmware downloaded from gionee site if u want jelly bean then download the flash files provided in post and follow the steps use windows xp.
For SoftBricked Gionee M2 device(Devices that are powering up but only in boot loop or other problems follow this).
Instructions:-
1.Download and extract sp flash tools from here
2.Download the Custom recovery image file that will be flashed on your device from here
3.Extract sp flash tools and open flash tools.
4.Click on scatter loading select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt from new recovery working folder.
5.Check if PRELOADER is highlighted as red or not then continue if its normal then u are good to go.
6.If you have good battery life then keep following these steps or see meta-mode below.
7.Click on download button then attach your usb to phone with your battery inserted the port will be detected and downloading will start.
8.First it will be red then final color will be yellow which means its downloading then it will show download complete.
9.Reboot into recovery it will be CTR recovery do a factory reset then reboot the phone.Voila!!Phone is unbricked:good:
10.If any problems install stock rom through ctr select install zip from sd card
Note:-For going back swipe left.
10.Download and install stock rom from here
12.You can copy this rom to your device using mount usb from mount and storage option.
13.After rom is installed do a factory reset from ctr.
META-MODE Guide:-
Instructions:-
1) Switch OFF Phone..
2) Remove Battery..
3) Click on Download or Format all + download according to what you're following.
4) Connect mobile to PC while holding Volume + button [WITHOUT BATTERY]..
5) Hold the button till flashing completes...
6) After 100% Flash,Release Button..
7)Follow from step 9 Above or for hard brick phone follow step 10 from below.
For HardBricked Gionee M2 device(Devices that don't even powerup).
Instructions:-
1.Download and extract sp flash tools from here
2.Download the flash files from here links:

3.Extract the files then open flash tools.
4.Click Scatter loading and select scatter file MT6582_Android_scatter.txt from M2 stock files folder.
5.If you had previously flashed wrong rom and hardbricked your device then select format all+download otherwise select download only.
6.Check if PRELOADER is highlighted as red or not then continue if its normal then u are good to go.
7.If you have good battery life then keep following these steps or see meta-mode above.
8.Click on download button then attach your usb to phone with your battery inserted the port will be detected and downloading will start.
9.First it will be red then final color will be yellow which means its downloading then it will show download complete.
10.Now check if your phone is rebooting it will reboot :good: if not rebooting it means it has no battery life just put it on charging while charging it will go in boot loop don't worry its charging ignore it leave it for 30 minutes atleast.
11.Now switch off again then flash custom recovery by following softbricked gionee m2 device instructions.
After flashing files on HardBricked devices.
Your problems are not still finished now after your phone has started u will see invalid imei error .Don't worry u can solve it easily.But if you are not getting this error then don't follow this
Instructions:-
1.First remove battery and copy both M_IMEI And S_IMEI numbers and write it on notepad or anywhere.
2.Download and install mobile uncle tools apk from here
3.Open it and go to engineer mode then for Engineer mode[mtk]
4.Go to connectivity then CDS information.
5.Go to Radio information then phone 1.
6.You will see AT+ and at bottom send command click on AT+ and retype AT+ automatically u will see AT+EGMR=1,7"" and other options.
7.select AT+EGMR=1,7"" and type M_IMEI number in inverted comma's.like this AT+EGMR=1,7"Your Imei number"
8.Click on send command if it shows command is msent then good for u.
9.go back select phone follow step 6 and select 1,10"".
10.Type S_IMEI like u did before in comma's then send command.
11.If command is msent reboot your phone.

Send me the screenshot use the latest version of flash tools i have uploaded in my post and also download the flash files u don't have to panic u have flashed gionee m2 rom i had flashed gionee g150 some ****ty rom with same specs just follow the steps it will be ok.Contact me if any probs if u stay in mumbai,maharashtra then u could come at my place i will flash for u.

Dear gurus; URGENT
I update to kitkat 4.4.2 on gionee m2 in Nigeria but my rear (back) camera disappear and stops working afterwards. I had invalid IMEI issue too but I have resolve this. Please how can I resolve the CAMERA issue?

Unbrick fail
I tried updating my Gionee M2 to the official KitKat ROM from their site, after following every step (I used a window XP SP3), after the initial red coloured bar, I got this message " S_FT DRAM FAIL ERORR 4032 ", now my phone can't boot up, I followed your ubricking step to go back to JB Stock ROM but still getting same message " S_FT DRAM FAIL ERORR 4032 ". I have tried all I could but same message keeps popping up, please is there something I am missing or doing wrong, please help.

Dear cygnis and obiomon reinstall the drivers and use another USB port follow this also first just use format all +download all then after format 100% it will show error then again senesce "download only" and flash it should flash properly and use meta mode steps mentioned in this post.

i downloaded the update for gionee m2 8 gb from settings and it did'nt intall correctly and my phone is in bootloop showing system recovery menu sometimes i have tried factory data rest and everything from there but still no help ............please help

I was on extended partition before. Everything succesfully got flashed in TWRP. But after rebooting system, phone died.
Connecting to PC I can see the device as QHUSUB (might have misspelled) and can see lots of drives connected (which it asks to format to use, which I won't as it ends up badly)
Any solution now? Otherwise like last time it got bricked, I will wait a day to battery get drained and than possibly hope for Fastboot to come back though I believe this issue can be fixed via PC only, not sure.
And I guess it got bricked due to extended partition as the ZIP probably merges both System.

Don't worry have you backup you data?
if you have, just install the driver for qhusb
then your phone should be able to recognises by MIflash then flash any fastboot rom, You phone should be good to go.

Did you personally tried that? Because flash all bat do uses fastboot to flash, which can't be accessed.
I wonder whether the other one u poster doesn't use fastboot, cant check the file content atm

But, the device was directly detected in MiFlash and simple flashing made it run lol
you need to do İnstall spacial flash_all.batt change to in flash_all.batt "cancro_global_images_V7.0.5.0.KXDMICI_20151016.0000.3_4.4_global"
dont use miFlash .. enough u clik speical flash_all.batt
If your device not boot into fastboot/recovery mode press power button for around 30-40 seconds .
and still not boot into fastboot/recovery mode

Currently i installed Kingroot in slimbit LP rom but after see people suggest method i uninstalled it & follow him tap root access in devolopment section & reboot but still not get Root access Than i try go in TWRP restore back this rom my phone stuck+ bootloop & keep loading in MI logo only !!! You don't need Qhusb driver. secondly can you boot in fast boor mode (power +vol-)?

Try to do these steps:
Install all the drivers (including lephone and others)
Open Device Manager on Windows PC
Now plug in your SWITCHED OFF
And notice the hardaware changes
If you find a hardware named "MTK 675XXX Preloader" or something like that, then your mobile can be easily unbricked
if you notice a small triangle under it then the preloader drivers might not be installed
just click on it (be fast because it will only stay for a 10 seconds or less)
and click "Update Driver"
Now, Try to flash using SPF tools
If the above method dosent work then try to boot into bootloader. if not able, then YES, YOU HAVE HARD BRICKED YOUR PHONE
Hi friends today I am going to tell you how to root k4 note which have Android 6.0 (M.M).
Many members have already given this process but in some place the needed files are missing and some other place the process is not explained clearly. So to slove this I have made all in one file and given the process as simple as possible by me.
This process have worked very fine for me. Rooted 8 k4 notes without any problem.
Read all and follow. And do it on your own risk. I am not responsible if anything go wrong.
First of all I would like to introduce myself ( I know it's not necessary but to some of them to believe my work )
Myself is Kaushik. I have been using XDA since 2 years but never opened an account and replied in posts. Now after learning a lot I thought I should also start replying. May be I am a junior member here but not truly a junior member.
I have flashed more then 250 mobile of all brands. And thanks to XDA my success rate is 99.7 %
Thanks to XDA to making me local gadget guru. Now here every one believe that if even service center also fail to slove some software problems but at last kaushik will surly pass.
OK now let's see how to root.
(This will void your warranty)
(Phone will factory reset, which means all of the apps and data will be gone, not the internal sd)
(To root Lenovo K4 note you need to first unlock the bootloader. See below to know how to do it )
1. First download the two files from the links I have given.
All files needed to install twrp and root are in one zip file. Link is below.

Usb ADB drivers for k4 note. Link below.

Now to unlock bootloader.
2. Now in your mobile go to 'Settings' / 'About Device' / press 7 times on built number to unlock Developer options.
3. Now go to Developer options and click on 'OEM Unlocking' and press enable.
4. Next enable the USB debugging.
Your bootloader is now unlocked.
Now in PC extract the downloaded files
5. Install lenovo adb drivers ( it is in the link I have provided ) on your pc
6. Go to adb folder and press and hold shiftkey and right click with mouse. Select open command from here.
7. type adb reboot bootloader You need to authorize the pc if not done already. (The phone will boot onto fastboot, you can see small fastboot written on the left corner of the screen once the phone boots)
8. Now open adb folder and open 'unlock_bootloder'. A message will be displayed in mobile to press volume up key to continue. Press volume up key. A message in pc cmd will display as press any key to continue. Now press any key.
9. Now in cmd type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
A message will be displayed as done.
Next part is very important
10. After its done press volume up and down button together with power button. Once you see the lenovo white screen, release the power button, release the volume keys once the screen goes black, wait for few minutes till you boot into the new custom recovery.
To avoid black screen set brightness below 30 in twrp settings. ( Not so important if don't understand how to do it )
11. Now the recovery allow modifications by just swiping and the goto mount and tick system and go back
12. Now go to advance, then file manager, then system, and delete the file named, recovery from boot.p ( if you are facing problem plz see point 14. )
13. After done do back and flash supersu.zip. (it is in the link which I have provided)
Now you phone is rooted and the supersu app will appear in the app drawer.
14. If you are facing problem with file manager flash aroma file manager ( it is in the link ). It will open in twrp. Now go to system and delete recovery from boot.p.
If you do not delete the said file again stock recovery will be replaced. If it happens so again you must repeat the steps from step 1.
Next to install xposed after boot up install xposed.apk (app is in the link)
Next flash xposed zip file. (Zip in the link )

s230 update brought a lot of issues thus I downgraded to s218 & now on s219. I am able to get adb to recognize my device but not fastboot. Therefore I am unable to unlock bootloader!
When I type in " adb reboot bootloader" or click on the "unlock_recovery.bat" file provided, I get booted into a dark screen where "fastboot" is written at the bottom left & the command prompt window says < waiting for device> & I am stuck there until I reboot my phone.

I Too have faced same problem. But I have installed all the drivers and it started working back to normal. So install the drivers which I have given in the link. Plz hit thanks if helpful. And plz make sure you have unlocked bootloader in developer options

Hi everyone,
I would be so thankful if anyone of you can guide me as to unbrick Le 2 when USB debugging is off and boot loader also is locked. Is there anyway or m i screwed? I only have stock recovery screen and that too is in Chinese and when i tried changing language it gets turned off. Please tell me how to push stock recovery and ROM back in to it. Fastboot command is not working proving the fact that usb debugging is off.

Can't you boot to fastboot with Volume- and Power?
Works for me even when ADB is disabled in phone.

only way to unbrick is to flash a QTI image (only one I found is an indian version) with a Qualcomm tool . There are some tutorial here and Youtube . This is a laborious way but not hard to do it yourself . I just done it myself , there were some small problems but I succeded .

Using this method you need to download QTI image , then Qualcomm flash tool (FlashOne1.9) . Power off the phone and keep the vol+&vol- pushed together . The LED start to blink when you connect the usb to PC . Start flash and wait for finish ..... That's for short ...
I don't think you tried it like this because screen is off , phone is off everything is dead , it can't be shown anywhere something like you described

By qti image you mean the same zip file given in the thread itself by the name of sparse rom? I followed the same and used flash2.0 but flash tool gave the error i described.

Did you put flash tool in C: ? In flash tool folder you must put also the zip file . Did you disable any antivirus and install Qualcomm drivers (LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4) ? You can't be wrong if have done those steps .

After led start blinking and the liason between pc and phone has been reached you must select the com port and qualcomm flash in flash tool window . Don't touch anything on PC while flashing . If something goes wrong repeat the steps after disconnect phone and reboot and power off the phone . First time flash tool will unzip the sparse rom and create a new folder inside flash tool so next try you'll flash if is needed you can skip this step .
More than that I must warn you the QTI ROM is quite fine but internal memory is encrypted . Doesn't matter much but for me was a pain in my but . Therefore it must to be done more other steps to make it better . Anyway the phone is back in function and it can be done anything on it like TWRP , installing new fresh ROMs etc

Now i did exactly you asked me to do but this time i am getting a different error saying flash file is not there in setup. Fed up of trying a countless times.

Blank space error i did not get as i always has put it in a path not containing spaces.. and the rom i have tried I downloaded it from the guide itself for x526. well now i ll be trying downloading from your given link. Thanks

did you verify TWRP , did it ask for password ?
if yes , you're in a deep problem my friend ... internal memory is encrypted so no new install zip , no wipe anything , no nothing
but of course there are solutions to make it a really good clean phone

Ohhh, i did not check.. it was a friend's phone and i have returned it to him.
Help me i also have this phone but when i connected to pc same step my phones led is blinking but Qualcomm port doesn't sowing in pc and i tried to install driver but doesn't work thanks in advance.
I tried installing crDroid (unlock bootloader, uploaded FW, recovery SHRP, then install ROM) and after reboot the phone would go back to recovery.
By mistake I "installed" SHRP from ZIP package (I thought I need to install latest recovery file to install ROM with android 12) and phone went into reboot loop, I can't do anything, any key combination doesn't help - I can't even turn it off.

Immediately after connecting USB C, the phone boots into bootlop (after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery)
What happens when you flash the custom ROM?
Try to flash the stock firmware and miui
again. Download the latest miui recovery ROM for Lancelot and copy it to the sd card. If you can still boot into recovery you can connect the phone with a PC.
You can also try to reboot into bootloader if the reboot options work from sharp, if not connect the phone to a PC with adb and fastboot installed on it and type:

adb reboot bootloader
And now if you are in fastboot you can do anything, you can try to reflash the firmware, recovery etc.
I personally don't use SHRP, it was really buggy and not great. I use the twrp from this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-twrp-unofficial-twrp-recovery-3-6-1_11-0.4421301/.

Operation completed with status [ ]. It looks like there should be a * in the middle and then it would be a sign to me that the ROM is loaded.

At the time of writing, no key combination was working - I can't get into Fastboot or Recovery. I let the battery run out for that moment.

That's what I'll do first, then move on to the solution below.
I opened the phone and disconnected the battery, but plugging in the USB cable immediately turns the phone on and bootloops again.
I'm using Linux and Windows, and one user hinted at hacking the USB driver so I believe it won't boot the phone, only then will I have communication? Other than that I don't know how to do it anyway.
For now, after the phone's battery runs out, I'll try with this solution

I got to the point of connecting the phone to the computer and it connects (the procedure says to use the Power button, but I had to disconnect the battery because Bootloop was falling in), using the Vol- button - the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting....
For a while I tried to connect the phone via SP Flash under Linux - in administrator mode the message "memory protection violation" appears (I don't know how the message is in English).
Adding a udev exception was supposed to help - after lsusb the Mediatek device appeared, I added the exception, restarted - and the same thing happens (the program crashes).
I finally managed (with the help of a group on telegram https://t.me/HelioG85_Unified) by switching off the phone and carefully going through all the points (except the update at the very end) from this link

Wow so many posts... Did you manage to fix the phone now? What do you mean by SP Flash will not fit the DA? Did you download the eng ROM for Lancelot? BTW I haven't done this kind of thing, but when I tried to flash my Lancelot with SP Flash tool it didn't work, because it was just waiting for device.

Other versions of SP Flash (newer) other than in the package with ENGROM didn't work with DA file with manual from links given above - it had to be the one from the package. SP Flash showed errors and crashed or informed about wrong file.

Thanks for the info, but I don't need to flash it with SP Flash tool because that was earlier when I didn't try to install custom recovery. Now I have SHRP with CRDroid A12 and its Awesome.

What version of SP Flash tools did you use? I'm running into this (status_ext_ram_exception error) kind of error while trying to flash the firmware provided in the Telegram channel.

The battery trick does'nt work for me. I can't remember exact version, sorry - but my way was going BACK with SP Flash tool version (from newest to working with file). When I found right version the rest was only going with procedure.
I did it twice: first time I was scared, second - with finding right version of SPFT, every time - like walk in the park. Looong walk all procedure was like 2-3 hours.
Second one try was after trying to load Andorid 13 (2x). Don't do it kids!
After all, my Revolut app stop working lately on my phone and Redmi is retired for now... (and also becoming unusable because slowing dramatically)
Thanks for your answer. it has worked with battery empty (though that might not have benn necessary); not on 1st atttempt v5.2020 but it did with version 5v.2216 in case it might help someone...it didnt flash miui fastboot rom 12.5 but it did flash engineering rom. and from there i will twrp and miui.
