what to do?? - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello guys,
i've the xperia sp and i want to change rom to get this possibility to move app to sd, get kitkat without losing function like fm radio.
i've the last original firmware with root access by towelroo and blocked bootloader.
which steps do i have to do?and which rom do u suggest me??
thx a lot

use cm or paranoid or xperiaze

This should be in the Q and A board.
As far as I know, the stock based roms dont allow you to move apps to SD. You would need a custom ROM like CM11

Are you on stock 2.1??
If yes then it will not allow installation of huge apps directly
you have to do manually with any app with root access like titanium backup or root explorer..

but i saw a carbon user complaining that touchwiz crashed on him, so i'll settle with CM for now Thanks for the sugestion though
I just thought about this issue and got scared a little - is there any way so that i can keep my home screen and app drawer layout (including hidden apps in app drawer) and all my installed apps on the same places as they are now, after I flash CM and TW Launcher ?
I know that google play will automatically download and install all my apps which i had before, but what about the TouchWiz icons layout?

Maclaw's cm 10.2 vs 11. Differences ??

Hii im using novafusion cm 10.2 i was thinkin about the benefits. I know 10.2 is more stable. Can u point out cm 11 pros ?
I already know these : transparent status bar
Higher android ver
Does cm 11 use less ram ?
What about lock screen widget supports ? Are they improved ?
Thx in advance

It's Jelly Bean vs KitKat. http://pocketnow.com/2013/12/06/kitkat-versus-jelly-bean
Thanks but that Doesnt tell much. It just says a few apps has been upgraded and that it has better ram management.
I want a more detailed technical comparison. Whats changed under hood ?
What about cm functions ?

Yes! The settings I use in twrp to backup are
Data
System
Boot
Enable compression
No md5
I backup to my extsd
If after you install cm11 and you don't like it, just restore... Easy!
One thing you will notice is your internal SD will look empty when you look at it with file manager. All your files are there but KitKat puts them in storage>legacy. Your new folder for all files is storage>emulated>0.
Use rootbrowser.

Reverting to full stock needs pc and odin. Maybe you can do this in an Internet Café?? Needs 40 mins at all.
No, can't use a cafe as its the battery connection on the phone that's screwy! I look into mobile Odin.. Thanks

Of course it is possible with SD card and completely without PC. If you have flashable zip file with Stock ROM with all images (recovery, etc.), you can do it as easilly as flashing custom ROM.
If you could point me in the direction of a flashable stock rom as I haven't seen any for the N version, or would a non N version work?

I haven´t seen any flashable stock ROM for N version, but if you download official version from sammobile, process of making flashable ROM (e.g. via Android Kitchen) must be same as for version without NFC.
Thanks I'll have a look
