No Signal problem - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, my Xperia Z has "no signal" error when i put my micro SIM card into its slot. Interesting is that when i turn the phone on it asks for a PIN, when i put the correct PIN in and confirm it has no signal at all... in the menu also appear "O2 Sim" apk after few seconds and my phone can even import contacts from SIM  ... well i am out of ideas.
Things i have tried:
Reinstall Android 4.4 via PC Companion
Downgrade to 4.3 via Flashtool
Downgrade to 4.2.2 via Flashtool
Reboot many times
Took SIM in and out many times + tried SIM in my second phone (XS) it worked normally...
I also tried SIM from different provider - same problem
Changed GSM to WCDMA only, ... (all options)
Add AP point
Find provider Auto/Manually - no service found
Checked if my phone is showing it's IMEI - yes it is
Checked if my phone isn't locked - no its unlocked
My phone is now BT locked, running Android 4.4 (10.5.A.0.230) non-rooted, at first i was thinking its a HW problem but well could it be if it recognizes the SIM card?
Last thing i am thinking about is to change my SIM to USIM, but i am not sure if it will help...
*Edit* I forgot to say everything execpt Network service (calls, sms, data) is working fine. *Edit*
*Edit2* After searching all over the google it seems like i am not alone... i have the same issue like this user https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdJ0DREwdEM " *Edit2*
*Edit3* I am adding some screenshots *Edit3*

Not working, check the video i posted before, phone can't find any service provider and i am not able to switch to manual... its reallly strange, i am trying to find some fix or something for about 4 hours + searching google, xda, youtube, ... and what i found? A lot of people with the same issue but no fix ...

After another X hours of looking for issue i found the reason - Antenna Board is probably faulty, i have found the same issue at some iPhone forum when the user had no signal (same as me) and fixed it by changing this little board located at the bottom of phone. But anyway if you know it won't help let me know I will post a reply when new AB will arrive and if change helped.

I don't think there is any issue with the base band
you flashed different builds also
Can be a hardware issue, suggest you to go to a service center

Does not mean that the antenna is broken, can be a loose contact also
You are getting the pin prompt because the sim reader is working properly
it is unable to register to network because of antenna issue, better you show it at a mobile shop than doing self diagnosis

Xperia T: Service Providers ?!

Its my 3rd Thread now, since i got 4.3 update, just problems. Has someone an idea, why i dont have any service providers? I have the same SIM, that was working on the previous version, and did the OTA update, had the T-Mobile branded DE version, flashed many firmwares, now i have flashed unbranded Belgium 9.2.A.1.205, (live in Belgium and the SIM is BASE), and when i go, Settings>More>Mobile Networks>Service Providers, and search for networrk/service, always comes a "No Networks Found".
I dont have any Signal of course, cant make a call, sms, nothing of course. When someone has an idea or solution, would be really grateful, since i i didint even can connect to my home network/wifi, at least this would be good to have.
Thanks in advance..

As bruce1x sujested did you try another sim in your Xperia T, if the other sim works then oder a new one. If not then reflash stock firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52630436 useing flashtools http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943886.
If this doesnt work then you have either a dead radio or a dead sim card reader, in this case you would need to send it back to be replaced, hope this helps.
P.S. Had the same problem when I pressed the magical USA BAND button and a stock reflash sorted it out :good:

[Q] Sony Xperia Z is stuck in 2G-EDGE

Hello everyone! I'd like to know if any of you know why my Sony Xperia Z C6603 does not detect or does not want to connect to 4G LTE or networks above 2G-EDGE technology. It detects my home network as 2G but the rest it detects them as 4G or 3G, but because of my SIM card I can't switch to any of them of course :/ I've already flashed my phone with no positive outcome... The problem still persists. What can I possibly do?
Thank you all so much in advance for your help! Let me know if anything from my phone (like IMEI or other stuff) is needed to help fix this issue ^^

Well I did try another SIM, but from my same carrier. I tested that Sunday when I took my phone to my carrier's offices to check if the problem was theirs. They put my SIM card in another phone and it worked on the other phone, while they put a test SIM card on my phone and it didn't work :/
I'll be attempting a bootloader unlock and a complete flash using Sony's EMMA with my phone and see if that solves the issue... I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get, I really don't know what else I can do.

Bootloader unlock is not necessary to flash stock firmware.
Just download firmware ftf file and flash it using flashtool

Ok... Just flashed with EMMA. Nothing, it's still the same. I did try another SIM card that didn't have LTE capability from another carrier and it did connect through HSPA+ and 3G, but with my SIM card it detects my home network as 2G, it should be letting me connect through HSPA like with my last Sony Ericsson phone, but nothing :/

[Q] Lost network & relocked BL?

Hello,
I've a weird problem with my Xperia SP. Today i wanted to get back to rom based on stock rom to get miracast feature.
I downloaded newest existenz rom and williams kernel for stock based roms. Installation went fine system booted ok and everything worked fine. After some time phone turned off and didn't wanted to start. Only flashmode worked. I've decided to download stock .205 CE1 rom and flash it.
It booted up, sim card was recognized(had to write PIN). After that network was not found. Signal with red "X". I've tried to manually register to network but i could not.
Next thing is that after flashing stock rom fastboot mode stopped working. Service menu shows that Bootloader can not be unlocked even that it was unlocked before and flashtool(BLU option) shows that it is still unlocked. Flashtool also shows Bootloader: NOT_ROOTABLE.
I have actually no idea what have happend. Now i'm installing stock rom using Sony PC Companion but i think this wont help for network problem.
My main network is PLUS GSM(Poland network).
Could sim card die? It is old type card (almost 10 years) and i had to cut it manually to fit micro sim for the phone.

Use flashtool to flash stock firmware by ftf file. Here:

Does it matter which country is it for? I can try some of them but i think that won't help. I've checked other sim card and it was recognized but didn't even ask me for pin. Weird Oo.
If nothing helps i will just flash stock firmware with SEUS and let sony service take care of it, hopefully. Phone still has guarantee.

Regions perhaps. But the thing that does not make sense it that that why did it work before and not now? It should work. Anyway, my SIM was mini too. I, too, had to cut it. It works. Or possibly contact your service provider maybe something is wrong with the SIM. They might have have locked it or something?

If none sim card works on phone then it is IMEI problem or phone itself somehow. I'm trying to flash other roms now. Hopefully it will help if not then sending to service.

For anyone who had the same problem. Sony exchanged my whole phone with information that mainboard was broken. They said that phone could not be fixed.
Good luck

No signal after *#*#4636#*#* PS. Don't change anything on it!!!!

Hello guys.
I have a Z3+ dual and searching on net i found a ussd code that give the possibilty to change the SIM card technology. I perfom some change on it including choose the 'USA BAND'..... Yep, i'm a asshole......
After that my first sim loose the signal. The triangle gets blank... I just have signal on chip 1 when i put WCDMA on it, but this force my second chip to gsm and consequently i loose the signal from second chip.
After alot of tries i could bring back the signal for both chips: I put the WCDMA only on sim card 1 on the 'mobile network'. After that i went to the *#*#4636#*#* menu and put the LTE/WCDMA Pref. and i made a restart. When the phone started i go to the 'mobile network' and put the second chip to LTE. Bingo... Both chips starts to work together....
But not everthing works fine.... When i restarted my phone again i loose my signal from first chip again i need to perform everthing to get everything works...
So, for now i need a help to solve this once for all. Maybe a way to reset the values to default.... Some site tell that we can put something on build. prop.
The best setup is works 3g on first chip and 3g/4g on the second at same time.
Positively don't change anything on this menu.

No network connection for Leeco Le2 X526, seems to be an antenna problem

I tried many times flashing Lineage or MIUI, but also with stock ROM the signal is still dead. The phone continues displaying "Cannot connect now, try again later" when I try connecting on a chosen operator or choosing the "automatic connection". What can it be? The SIM works perfectly on other phones, so the problem seems to be of this Leeco.

i have this same problem. new phone....
Have you checked if the baseband is okay? Go to about phone and check baseband version. If it displays the version then you might have a hardware issue. If it's not okay, try flashing a modem from another x52x model (as long as it supports same bands as your phone.)

Does your WIFI still work, and is the SIM card detected after booting the phone (PIN dialog)?
What is shown in Settings under Baseband?
You has test to install ROM cuoco?
Search help/le-2-x526-rose-gold-reports-network-t3855226
For first hard reset your phone
If the first doesn't work, go to twrp, erase cache, dalvikCache, data, system and flash a custom rom.
Update me after this
I have a similar problem,I'm thinking about flash the modem file, anyone have a guide about how to di It?

I tried many times flashing Lineage or MIUI, but also with stock ROM the signal is still dead. The phone continues displaying "Cannot connect now, try again later" when I try connecting on a chosen operator or choosing the "automatic connection". What can it be? The SIM works perfectly on other phones, so the problem seems to be of this Leeco.

I had a similar problem with my phone when it was new. I found out that it was a problem with the SIM card. The pins were not well aligned with the SIM card port of my new le 2. I went and got a replacement SIM from the operator and it worked immediately. Thankfully I hadn't flashed anything yet. Try putting a SIM with different pin design (preferably box-ish)and see if it works.

Try a SIM card with different pin design before going for the nuclear option (flashing modem).

Check if it works with a different SIM card. Maybe the pins of your SIM don't align with the phone's contacts.
