I have managed to damage my tablet and now I have to replace the motherboard to get it fixed. Does anyone know where I can buy the motherboard? if someone has a tf701 with a broken screen that is willing to sell it?
Check ebay. That's going to be your best bet.

I ended up buying from ebay. I hope the part works as promised. Even on ebay I only found 1.

I bought my Touch Diamond at Negri Electronics. Those guys have been my "go-to" guys for a while now. They stand behind their product and they are VERY FAST!!
negrielectronics.com
Expansys sent a phone to me 3 day, when I paid for overnight (which has happened before). Negri ships the day you put the order in if its early enough. I'm impressed with their product selection and very impressed with their service. The price may sometime be a few dollars more, but well worth it.
If you buy online, buy it here, at least you don't have to worry about getting the run around when you need service.
i can get it for $720 AU...... direct from manufacturer.
and this??

Just wondering if anyone here has an Xperia SP with a cracked screen to sell cheap. Need some parts to fix my phone. Leave me a reply with your price + shipping cost if you have one to sell.
Thanks!

Dude, if you had posted this two days back, you might have had my Sp. I exchanged it with my dad for his Z1.

Check out ebay. Also, I guess it would be cheaper to just get your xperia repaired then buying a cracked one (which will probably be costlier along witht the shipping charges).

Sorry buddy, I don't think he'll let go of it since he's used to it now. He's an old dog, and its really difficult to teach him new tricks...
So I got one on amazon that was supposed to be new and a us warrantied model.
Turns out it's not a us model. Also the box wasn't sealed and Sony says that the warranty info says it would expire over a month prior to a year past my purchase date... indicating to them that it has been previously activated.
I noticed best buy occasionally has them refurbished with a 90 day geek squad warranty.
Any thoughts on which is the better option?
Thanks in adavance
I wouldn't buy a refurbished phone, but that's just me. Too bad you can't get the US version sold by Amazon anymore, and too bad that seller shafted you - looks like they are the only NEW seller on Amazon currently.
Do you have any international sellers in mind? Perhaps depending on the vendor, you could at least have some kind of return option for the worst case scenario of a DOA phone.
I hope you can get this all resolved. And partly because I'm hoping you'll share the exact steps you take to get root/fingerprint/t-mo all working on the phone so I can replicate it. Good luck.

I'm sort of leaning towards the international one, but i have my doubts that this one they sent me is new. I should have no problem flashing the modified firmware to keep the fingerprint sensor and enable wifi calling/vo-lte. I just worry about the battery lifespan mostly.
Regardless by the time I'm finished unlocking and rooting I won't be sending it in to sony for any repairs.

I would feel exactly the same. The battery unknown is a big reason why I would avoid refurbed phones. Even though you bought from a 3rd party on Amazon, you should have some protections from amazon, especially in the case where the item is not as described. Sounds like you have proof of that, so I would pursue trying to return that.
As far as where to get a replacement though, I'm not sure, unless you want to buy from a European supplier such as Clove.

Never heard of Clove. Pretty reputable? As long as exchange is good it should still come in under $400 us.
I've actually asked the amazon company if they would exchange for a sealed in box model or give me a discount since it wasn't as described. They have pretty good feedback, I just worry about the battery.
I recently got a brand new international model from Ebay.

I haven't personally used Clove, but they've been mentioned by XDA users over the years as a good source of unlocked phones. Or, like Dean says, there is always Ebay if you end up having to return your Amazon phone.

At least here in Germany the phones did not come sealed (we bought 3 phones so far) and the Warranty started at a date that was much earlier than our purchase date. Dropping an email to Sony fixed the problem
I'd get a new one, and it's not like region matters if you're planning to flash an international firmware to get the fingerprint sensor working anyway

You could buy a new one from Amazon Germany AND save some money. Then the fingerprint scanner will work out of the box.

This is a good find, but why you guys do not recommend buying used phones from Amazon? For example this one: Amazon.de blue xz1c.
I mean, the only concern would be the battery, right? Because there is no info about how much and for how long it has been used.
I am also looking for auctions on eBay.

Assuming I got a fair exchange rate it would still be right around $400 us for a new one. Even if shipping it here wasn't crazy expensive I'd still have to wait for it.
Need original amoled display for my MI8(6/128) . I am confused which one to chose from Alixpress.
Please suggest me good one. And also share your experience if you have bought any.
I'm not really familiar with the repair world, but this one seems good.
Dont buy from ali. This shop has genuine http://www.dragon-tt.com/Products.aspx?my=pro&sid=118&fcid=11
Usually, I buy all my replacement parts on http://www.witrigs.com

The only shop I know that sells original xiaomi parts.
Never ordered there myself, but heard only good things about this shop.
I did search aliexpress over and over, never found any original part there. Don't waste your money. It's not just about picture quality, they all break really easy and there is no way telling the trash apart from the slightly-above-trash.
My experience with aliexpress displays: 2x mi4, one for about 20$, another for about 50$. 1x mi max for abour 25$. I couldn't tell them apart.
But there is another way around this problem.
You should check ebay in your country to see for how much you can sell your broken Mi 8. Take the money and buy a new phone.
Most times it's a bit more expensive than self repair, but it saves you a lot of time and work.
My display cracked by an accident. Looking to replace it myself instead of going through the usual ASUS support nightmare. I have a spare device, so it's not too urgent. Can anybody recommend a good dealer for buying ROG 3 replacement parts? How much is it? Also welcome any advice although I expect it's relatively straight forward.. Thanks in advance.
Consider checking on eBay and AliBaba too for ROG 3 replacement parts.
