Hi. So i'm new to this Galaxy Gear stuff. I bought my gear second hand from a friend (so i do not have any warranty or what so ever) I rooted and flashed a custom rom on it, everything went fine and everything worked good, but now i wanted to sell it so in order to sell it i had to flash the stock rom on it. I downloaded the right file (i live in Finland so i selected the Finnish one) and when i tried to flash it nothing happened. It said bootloader where it says fail or pass in odin an i waited and waited and nothing happened, then i unplugged it from the pc (big mistake) now it says on the screen when i turn it on ''Firmware upgrade encounteredan issue. Please selectrecovery mode in Kies andtry again''.
If i try to reboot the gear it comes to the same screen, so i can't go to recovery i guess. And when i try to connect it to Kies 3, it says it's not supported ? Odin recognizes it but if i try to flash again nothing happens. So my question is dear xda members. Is there any way to fix my gear or is it broken for good.
-Thanks
If i forgot something i'll answer as soon as possible!

Hi all. I bought a Note for a friend of mine in June here in Italy. It hadn't ICS but, as known, I told him that later on he would have seen a message stating that there were an update. I told him to download it through Wi-Fi, and then appling it while the phone was plugged in or the battery fully charged. Just to be clear: he has got a computer but he barely know how to turn it on, so I'm absolutely sure he never changed the ROM with a custom one.
Yesterday he downloaded (I suppose 4.0.4 ... or 4.0.3: I don't know what is available here in Italy) and applied it but the phone, but then the phone never turned on again. If I turn it on, I can see the boot screen (Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000) forever ... I tried to enter into recovery: I verified it still has 3e so, as I suppose, nothing was changed. I tried to wipe data/factory reset but nothing changed.
How's this possible? There something I could try before returning it to Samsung? Thank you in advance.

I'm quite sure it has never been rooted, my friend said so and I think he couldn't be able to root it ...
I can't be 100% sure since I don't know if another friend of him putted his hands on it ...
Anyway, there's no yellow triangle on boot, this could let me sure that it has never been rooted?
Otherwise, since the a3 recovery is working, could I put a stock ICS on the SD card and apply the update without void warranty? TY.
I am sorry if this is not the place for this topic and for my english.
I have a samsung galaxy pocket (s5300). Once upon a time I rooted it without using odin and it worked :cyclops:
After I tried some custom roms. But in the end I used my CWM Backup file to restore my original rom. But the damn thing just doesn't wanna connect to kies any more. Now I wan't to reflash it's stock firmware with Odin and I'm using a nokia cable (i know that I should use the real thing but it isn't sold in my country + in the begining I didn't have any troble with the cable and my father flashed an android 4.0.4 on his Samsung Galaxy Nexus using this same cable). So when i put my phone in download mode and connected it gives me unkown usb device. I downloaded the drivers installed them tried again, but the damn thing just doesn't assossiet with them.
Than I showed it the proper drivers manually ( you know device menager-->update driver-->sellect driver; you get the picture) and still nothing. And i really use Kies and wan't to fix the problem. What should I do.
PLS HELP!!!
Yes!
So the phone finaly diceded to connect while in download mode and I was able to reflash it. Sorry again if I posted on the wrong place.
Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. I accidentally tried to update something (the phone said there was an Android update or something) and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop showing the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.
Which volume button did you press ? You need volume up + home + power to get into recovery.
You can flash any rom from any region using odin.
Same problem
Hey,
Thanks for helping me in advance...
I used the Custom ROM (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626 )) Ultimate N7000 for a long time. However this build became more and more unstable the longer I used my phone.
So I decided to go back to STOCK.
So I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And everything went well (Odin didnt give any errors)
However after reboot... the problem began... I cant turn my phone on anymore.... It seems to be stuck in a bootloop....
How can I fix this?? please help me
Which rom did you flash? If you flashed JB, boot into recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.
Hello guys,
First post here so, if it's in wrong session, sorry
I've tried to root and update my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830C), apparently the root went fine but when I tried to add the ROM, I couldn't initialize anymore... well the screen lights up and the flash blinks once and I heard the turning on sound but it's not shown anything on the screen. Funny thing is that the Odin3-v1.85 recognizes when I plug my phone.
I've been trying to repair for 2 days now, but still couldn't find out one solution.
Please help me :crying:
Edit: I Figure out that I installed the wrong firmware... but I still couldn't install another
Go to the download mode and then install your Stock rom using ODIN. That should solve your problem.
Hi everyone, I am having a similar problem to thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-mini/help/bootloop-recovery-installed-odin-t3735947.
In March 2018 I have installed Novafusion RR distribution to S3 Mini because it was rebooting all the time, but since I didn't liked it I went back to the original firmware (Austrian, the cell was bought in Vienna and when my brother gave to me I had to hard reset because was restarting when using some apps. I tried to install Cyanogen but didn't work well and the only firmware I was able to use was the original from Austria, when I've tried the Italian one it didn't work...).
A month later my cell died, it wasn't turning on. The guy in the repair shop told me it wasn't the battery because it was not turning on with direct cable connection... the next day it was when I tried again it turned on, buy kept rebooting after Samsung Logo and model name. I bought a new original battery, charged it but still the same problem.
I tried to install twrp and cwm via Odin but nothing works, it freezes on the "Samsung Galaxy s3 mini" or it keeps rebooting...
If I enter in Odin mode, on Keys it keeps turning the wheel trying to connect but nothing happens. The PC install the samsung drivers normally.
I would like to know if there is something that I can do, because I want to backup some contacts that were saved in the phone memory, sms and the last Whatsapp chat, for some reason the last automatic one is from January even if in march I did have all the chats in Novafusion RR and when I went back to the stock...
I can enter in download mode only. Is it possible to use Odin or something else, like adb, to back up the files? In some threads I've read that if I flash the firmware via Odin, like an update it should keep all the programs, but some people says it delete everything... since I don't want to risk, I would like to know if it is true or not...
Any help, suggestions etc?

Is it possible to backup files from download mode?
