Hi everyone, I am having a similar problem to thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-mini/help/bootloop-recovery-installed-odin-t3735947.
In March 2018 I have installed Novafusion RR distribution to S3 Mini because it was rebooting all the time, but since I didn't liked it I went back to the original firmware (Austrian, the cell was bought in Vienna and when my brother gave to me I had to hard reset because was restarting when using some apps. I tried to install Cyanogen but didn't work well and the only firmware I was able to use was the original from Austria, when I've tried the Italian one it didn't work...).
A month later my cell died, it wasn't turning on. The guy in the repair shop told me it wasn't the battery because it was not turning on with direct cable connection... the next day it was when I tried again it turned on, buy kept rebooting after Samsung Logo and model name. I bought a new original battery, charged it but still the same problem.
I tried to install twrp and cwm via Odin but nothing works, it freezes on the "Samsung Galaxy s3 mini" or it keeps rebooting...
If I enter in Odin mode, on Keys it keeps turning the wheel trying to connect but nothing happens. The PC install the samsung drivers normally.
I would like to know if there is something that I can do, because I want to backup some contacts that were saved in the phone memory, sms and the last Whatsapp chat, for some reason the last automatic one is from January even if in march I did have all the chats in Novafusion RR and when I went back to the stock...
I can enter in download mode only. Is it possible to use Odin or something else, like adb, to back up the files? In some threads I've read that if I flash the firmware via Odin, like an update it should keep all the programs, but some people says it delete everything... since I don't want to risk, I would like to know if it is true or not...
Any help, suggestions etc?
wrong edit...
Is it possible to backup files from download mode?

Hello guys,
First post here so, if it's in wrong session, sorry
I've tried to root and update my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830C), apparently the root went fine but when I tried to add the ROM, I couldn't initialize anymore... well the screen lights up and the flash blinks once and I heard the turning on sound but it's not shown anything on the screen. Funny thing is that the Odin3-v1.85 recognizes when I plug my phone.
I've been trying to repair for 2 days now, but still couldn't find out one solution.
Please help me :crying:
Edit: I Figure out that I installed the wrong firmware... but I still couldn't install another
Go to the download mode and then install your Stock rom using ODIN. That should solve your problem.
Hi. So i'm new to this Galaxy Gear stuff. I bought my gear second hand from a friend (so i do not have any warranty or what so ever) I rooted and flashed a custom rom on it, everything went fine and everything worked good, but now i wanted to sell it so in order to sell it i had to flash the stock rom on it. I downloaded the right file (i live in Finland so i selected the Finnish one) and when i tried to flash it nothing happened. It said bootloader where it says fail or pass in odin an i waited and waited and nothing happened, then i unplugged it from the pc (big mistake) now it says on the screen when i turn it on ''Firmware upgrade encounteredan issue. Please selectrecovery mode in Kies andtry again''.
If i try to reboot the gear it comes to the same screen, so i can't go to recovery i guess. And when i try to connect it to Kies 3, it says it's not supported ? Odin recognizes it but if i try to flash again nothing happens. So my question is dear xda members. Is there any way to fix my gear or is it broken for good.
-Thanks
If i forgot something i'll answer as soon as possible!
Hi there! Now, firstly, ive always used Windows Phones but, would like to join Android and discover what it is really like to use... It really does look like fun to use
Anyway, last night i got my mums old Samsung Galaxy S1(G-I9000) and tried to root it and put CyanogenMod on it so i could get arid of the broken TouchWiz(I don't know what the new versions of it are like, but this one was broken and horrible to use) and get updated to Android 4+. Now, the root was successful and i am very happy with myself for doing that.... But here is where it all fell apart....
So, i jumped on their guide on their cyanogenmod wiki and it turns out that doing that first step(The "Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S") was not needed because i already had ClockWork on my phone and that doing it would apparently break my phone.... I did not realise that till afterwards.
When i tried to reboot into recovery mode to install CM it got stuck on the boot screen. I think to myself maybe its stuffed and ill just reboot it again and see if it work... Nope. Now i try to reboot normally and leave it alone.... Nope. Turns out, all i can do is get into download mode. Now, from what ive found online, using Odin to reflash my phone with the stock ROM is how to fix my phone, problem is, Odin is not finding the phone and Hard Resetting the phone by holding down Lower Volume button and power is not working.... How can i fix this?
I think you can still recover it. However, the reason Odin might not recognize it it's probably because you haven't installed the Samsung USB drivers
If you install them and try to go into Download mode again you might be able to flash the stock ROM back onto your Samsung phone
i've just make an factory reset, because today finally replaced by miself the screen of my phone which it was broken, so, i wanted to make an update, usually i use the marcklaw novafusion roms, they're stable, well the point is what, actually my phone has cwm, and a cyanogen novafusion rom, it worked perfectly, where i remember (the last one i turned on my phone was the last year on august, before the screen of it, was broken...so..) now...i'm trying to apply the clockworkmod recovery, via ODIN, have tried reinstalling the drivers, tried to enter cwm mode but it doesnt works, just the phone dont enter to recovery, only...it does turns off....also tried changing usb ports, testing in another port, with other cables even the samsung oficial, tried unninstalling all things related to the phone, yup, also erasing odin and downloading another one believing of this program was corrupt, but, nope, actually when i put download mode, happens two things, the one is what my windows7 64 recognize the phone and starts to install drivers, but going onto the odin program, actually doesnt display the spected, that is the "COM" connected, message..i dont know what to do, please i request help, yeah, my skills in english are pittyfull , im venezuelan and, the tech service here is practically expensive. ...ill be gratefull and thankfull of someone helping me!
i'll make it short
One night,i've used my phone, and before going to sleep(phone still working),i left it to charge.(That's at about 11pm).The morning i wake up,phone cannot boot in recovery nor in download. It was like dead. But i have left it to charge for some hours then charging animation came back, then phone could boot again, including download mode but not recovery(linegeos 14.1).Until today,i have tried to flash custom recovery, stock recovery, wipe file to wipe data and cache, tried to install cm12.1,but none of them worked, still stuck on bootloop. If i recall, the night i used my phone last,i tried to use lucky patcher to get unlimited coins on dream league, but with play protect, they warned me that google would give warning, but i did not do anything. After all the flashes including recovery and the rom that failed,i ticked the nand erase in odin but seems like nothing changed. And now i'm out of options,if someone could really help me please, this is the only phone i've got.Phone can boot fine, but not in recovery and it will not install idk why, please help me...
something i've seen in download is that after flashing recovery or wiping data,in the place of current binary,it writes something like sdcard write status:2(7) or something like that.
does any of you know the problem?
no answer?
pls help me
i have the same problem is so sad
so there's no fix?
I have the exact same problem in my i8190, despite of being totally stock. I'm trying to flash stock rom, stock recovery, custom recovery, custom rom, something... and nothing happens, Odin says PASS but it seems to be like there is no memory to write on. I'm thinking it could be some hardware issue :'(
then there's nothing to do...
so sad
