i'll make it short
One night,i've used my phone, and before going to sleep(phone still working),i left it to charge.(That's at about 11pm).The morning i wake up,phone cannot boot in recovery nor in download. It was like dead. But i have left it to charge for some hours then charging animation came back, then phone could boot again, including download mode but not recovery(linegeos 14.1).Until today,i have tried to flash custom recovery, stock recovery, wipe file to wipe data and cache, tried to install cm12.1,but none of them worked, still stuck on bootloop. If i recall, the night i used my phone last,i tried to use lucky patcher to get unlimited coins on dream league, but with play protect, they warned me that google would give warning, but i did not do anything. After all the flashes including recovery and the rom that failed,i ticked the nand erase in odin but seems like nothing changed. And now i'm out of options,if someone could really help me please, this is the only phone i've got.Phone can boot fine, but not in recovery and it will not install idk why, please help me...
something i've seen in download is that after flashing recovery or wiping data,in the place of current binary,it writes something like sdcard write status:2(7) or something like that.
does any of you know the problem?
no answer?
pls help me
i have the same problem is so sad
so there's no fix?
I have the exact same problem in my i8190, despite of being totally stock. I'm trying to flash stock rom, stock recovery, custom recovery, custom rom, something... and nothing happens, Odin says PASS but it seems to be like there is no memory to write on. I'm thinking it could be some hardware issue :'(
then there's nothing to do...
so sad

tried to install any software but does not work.I think it's a hardware issue,i'm not sure though!!
does any of you know what the problem means?
Hi everyone, I am having a similar problem. Last month I have tried to install novafusion RR distribution to s3 minI because it was rebooting all the time, but since I didn't liked it I went back to the original firmware. A few days ago my cell died, it wasn't turning on. The guy in the repair shop told me it wasn't the battery... the nextday it was turning on, buy keep rebooting. I bought a new original battery, charged it but still the same problem.
I tried to install twrp and central recovery via Odin but nothing works, it freezes on the "Samsung Galaxy s3 mini" or it reboot..
I would like to know if there is something that I can do, because I want to backup some contacts that were saved in the phone memory, sms and the last whatsapp chat, for some reason the last automatic one is from january...
Any ideas?

Hi, I need some advice. I dropped my Galaxy S in a puddle. It was submerged for the just a second, but when I fished it out, the screen had gone 'weird', so I got the battery out as quickly as possible, then dried it out for a few days in the airing cupboard. I then tried it and it started up okay, then when I swiped to unlock the screen, it froze. since then I have been unable to boot the phone. It shows the Galaxy logo, then restarts and continues that loop.
I wondered if maybe the software has just been corrupted during its bath, so I thought i might try flashing a ROM onto it to see if that would recover. I found that I could not enter recovery mode but download mode opened okay. I have tried flashing a few ROMS using Odin. I am completely new to this and have never flashed my phone before, so steep learning curve. I have so far tried - I9000XWJW5 which I believe is normally used before installing Cyanogen mod. I also downloaded the T-Mobile Stock ROM and one with this filename - CF-Root-XX_OXA_JW4-v4.4-CWM3RFS. All of these successfully downloaded to the phone and I could see the progress bar on the phone. Unfortunately I still cannot get the phone into recovery mode.
So, whats your opinion? is my phone screwed? Is there anything else I can try which may help, like formatting or anything like that.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
try search for value pack 2.3.6 and flash it then root it after that I believe you should get the recovery option.

Can I do that without being able to get into recovery mode?
I've just been reading that I can use a PIT file to repartition during flashing. Is it worth trying? I noticed in the Value pack TAR file it does not have a PIT file. I got one downloaded from somewhere else called - s1_odin_20100512.pit worth a shot?
I tried including the pit file as well. Odin reported success but phone is still continuous boot loop and I cannot get recovery mode up. Do you think one of those USB things that get you into download mode would help? I'm beginning to think the internal SD is knackered, or something like that.
I think the memory is brocken but i don't realy know. Send it to Samsung for a check

Hello there,
i've rooted my GC with newest 4.1.2 Android and all went fine. Then i wanted to use the cool init.d Script, which makes it possible to set the extSdCard storeage as 'internal' and the internal as external Storeage, to get more space for a lot of Apps.
But for this init.d script i needed to use a compatible kernel. So thinking, the GalaxyCamera HW is almost the same like from the Galaxy S II Phone. i decied to use this tut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772234 to download the init.d script and siyah- kernel. getting this things into the Camera i should use ClockWorkMod.
And there the Problem starts: In ClockworkMod install-tool i sayed "yes" to install it for a Galaxy S III.. humm, device restarting into recovery and Screen flashes with disorientated GalaxyCamera Logo und went blank afterall... i rebootet and all went fine, but recovery was "corrupted" (with my luck i didnt make a backup in ClockWorkMod ROM Utility on Android... ( )
So i decided to start over and started to flashing (idont now why) the root- Restore file from Chainfire for the GalaxyCamera again. Recover Mode works fine again, but NOW on normal boot my Touchscreen doenst react anymore.
After trying with several Stock recoveries, even with 4.1.1 and so on an re- Routing.... issue still persists.. ( Can anyone help me, or did i just killed the Touchscreen Controller with this Action??
Do you try a hard reset, you probably can do it from recovery mode, but not sure.
Maybe he solve your issue ?
I've already tried. But thank you for your tip!
The Problem is (i guess) that ClockWorkMod or Chainfires Root, locked up some file- permissions and the Touchscreen- driver cant load into Memory. If it where possible for me to repartition the device, all locked Data gets wiped and a fresh Andoid flashed back to NAND . I tried this with Adam's Pit- File in Odin or Heimdall several Times with differen OS'es. No success.
Yesterday i Sent the camera in for repair to a Samsung Service Provider. I Hope they will fix it. Small problem: i couldnt reset the Flashcounter with an 'defective' Touchscreen! ... I hope they would not recognize my 20 custom OS restores!
I will inform you if my lovely GalaxyCamera gets fixed!

Dude, did you get your camera back?? I made he same mistake just a couple of hours ago.. I am feeling so depressed, I dont know what to do.
Did they say anything about the flash counter?
me too
I have had this problem as well. My camera has no touch on the screen after rebooting. I saw it flick and lock and then I tried to re-flash the rom etc, but it didn't help.
Sent to Samsung and they are saying that the motherboard and screen have to be replaced at a cost of $350. They are seeing if they can repair under warranty, but it doesn't sound too hopeful.... Perhaps, I will give up on my Galaxy Camera. I am not going to pay $350 to have the item repaired. I didn't know if it was a software fault or a hardware failure. I think it really should be a warranty issue....
Anyhow, I guess clockwork mod can really wreck things up..... Anyone, found a way to fix this issue? Why didn't the default Samsung ROM flash and factory reset fix the issue if it is supposedly software?

You should be able to flash the stock samsung standard rom. It will update everything including the bootloader. Haven't had this problem, but this solution seems logical. Download the full rom and flash with PDA option.
Good luck.

There is no solution for touchscreen problem. You just give service your camera and they change touchsreen. Cause it's a hardware problem
Jeah it definitively was an HW Problem. Got a New Touchscreen and all works fine

can boot recovery mode
can be flashed via odin
can NOT:

-data can not be wiped (Processbar starts but never really start doing something) CWM6. I had some other recoverys and they gave me some messages like can not accsess data/csc or something like these messages in other posts.
-can not do anything in recoverymode exepted, wipe cache.
-can not update zip
-can not gain accsess to sdcard ore sideby
-cant reboot in recovery.
i flashed with odin (and Aries.ops):
-broodROM_RC5
-the right StockROM
-phone seems to be bricked
-no access with Quickflash (dont know if debug mode was or is enabled)
i found some people with similar problems with other devices (i9000 // i9100), but not with the i9001. so i write it here.
always the answer was try a full wipe/reset, but i cant or dont know how to it when the recoverymod or stock recovery doesnt do it.

Plugged in via USB Cable to PC i can access (internal) sdcard and copy all zips i want. I also cann install them, but i cant wipe data.
i geuss there is an hardware issue, so that all these fine mods are biting on stone, trying to format the "partition"
This results in unbootable systems..i think
At least i tried cm-9-20130220-EXPERIMENTAL-ariesve-rc5 with kernel 3.00, no luck.
i this hardbricked? damaged? i geuss im close to the final. but wich one.....

thanks for reading!
dan
...
tried to reduce the i9001reset.tar.md5 file with repacking it without the cache and system file. but the reset.zip still has 750mb and odin crashes checking the md5.
are there any other methods to check if the data partition or the emmc.ic is damaged? i cant format via CWM or stock recovery, results in endless process...
and Quickflasher also crashed trying to "wipe at start" mmcblk0p17 (data)
greetz from Berlin

yes, i tried but it did not work, neither from stock or custom ROM.
I'm having the exact same problems. It all started when I updated CWM to 6.0.2.8 as recomended by ivendor, in order to flash CM10. Since then I can't wipe data partition, and no matter what I flash (through both Odin and CWM), the phone doesn't boot anymore. Tried to restore original Samsung ROM, no success... Hasn't anyone figure it out? It seems a large number of user have dealt with this issue in the last days, perhaps the coder of CWM 6.0.2.8 should explain how to fix this mess.
I went to a local phone service, and they said they can't do anything, the whole internal memory has to be replaced. I can't believe this.
No solution?
I have exectly the same problem and i tried everything. I still can get to recovery and download mode, because i didnt mess with reseting broken partition. Can this be solved? I didnt find anyhing in threads, and it seems that a lot of people have this kind of problem now. It all happend on my s+ while i was trying to flash CM10 Beta4.

the recovery you have used was compiled over a 3.0 kernel, it has a bug that brick phones, like the galaxy s2 and galaxy note.

I managed to "rescue" my eMMC-bricked phone by doing everything I could find about the eMMC brick bug killed my i9001. No root but I can live with that until someone comes up with a better fix.. Good luck, I wish I had a better step by step instruction list on how I did it but honestly I just frantically tried things over and over in different order and finally got it going.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234489
I guess...
1. Get TWRP 2.2.2.1 or CWM 5.5.0.4/the new 2.6-based 6.0.2.8 CWM recovery flashed.
2. Use QuickWipe (link in my post to the OP).
3. Use ODIN 4.43 to flash that 1.4GB fixmev2.tar file (I did it at least 2-3 times during different stages)
4. Follow the instructions in the links in my post.
5. Good luck.
6. Wait for the devs to solve this problem permanently with new kernels and ROMs and thank them when they solve it.

EDIT: after it died last night (tried to force root permissions and it would no longer boot) and fiddling to get it back to working condition I tried flashing the file in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38671295&postcount=2) to reset partitions and the phone is now stone dead... a true brick.. absolutely nothing happens when I try to power up, enter recovery mode, whatever.. it's dead... stone cold..
Here goes: in a stupidity attack, before installing a stock rom, I wiped everything but the external cared (YEAH, the SYSTEM too). I then flashed the rom, and it never installed (my phone got stuck on showing the "samsung galaxy s advance" for over half an hour).
(might be relevant: the phone was rooted, and had CoCore + TWRP installed)
What should I do? How do I get my phone back? Can it be saved? :crying:

I closed my phone (took the battery out) and then pressed power-soundUp-button for recovery, and reached the recovery. I restored from a backup I had on my external card. If you don't have a backup, you can put stock rom on your external card (directly from your PC with a card reader dongle) and flash it.
The other option is to install a stock rom by downloading it to your phone through the computer with Odin. That means that you download Odin and stock rom. To do this you still need to take the battery out (to close the phone), put it back in, and then press power-soundDown-button to download (the difference here is sound-DOWN). Then work according to the tutorials about using Odin (don't forget to open the file as admin!).
Good luck!

Are you trying to do a factory reset/wipe data via stock recovery?
I think I have done this, yes. Do you think this was the reason for the bootloop?
However, I've now succsefully flashed Slimkat, it looks promising.
I hope I won't have to turn back to GB or JB in the future.
Hi everyone, I am having a similar problem to thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-mini/help/bootloop-recovery-installed-odin-t3735947.
In March 2018 I have installed Novafusion RR distribution to S3 Mini because it was rebooting all the time, but since I didn't liked it I went back to the original firmware (Austrian, the cell was bought in Vienna and when my brother gave to me I had to hard reset because was restarting when using some apps. I tried to install Cyanogen but didn't work well and the only firmware I was able to use was the original from Austria, when I've tried the Italian one it didn't work...).
A month later my cell died, it wasn't turning on. The guy in the repair shop told me it wasn't the battery because it was not turning on with direct cable connection... the next day it was when I tried again it turned on, buy kept rebooting after Samsung Logo and model name. I bought a new original battery, charged it but still the same problem.
I tried to install twrp and cwm via Odin but nothing works, it freezes on the "Samsung Galaxy s3 mini" or it keeps rebooting...
If I enter in Odin mode, on Keys it keeps turning the wheel trying to connect but nothing happens. The PC install the samsung drivers normally.
I would like to know if there is something that I can do, because I want to backup some contacts that were saved in the phone memory, sms and the last Whatsapp chat, for some reason the last automatic one is from January even if in march I did have all the chats in Novafusion RR and when I went back to the stock...
I can enter in download mode only. Is it possible to use Odin or something else, like adb, to back up the files? In some threads I've read that if I flash the firmware via Odin, like an update it should keep all the programs, but some people says it delete everything... since I don't want to risk, I would like to know if it is true or not...
Any help, suggestions etc?
wrong edit...
