Galaxy s5 not receiving wireless data - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

My phone is the SM-G900A and for some reason I have stopped receiving wireless data. (Yes I have mobile data on) I have tried toggling settings, have attempted a factory reset via system recovery, and attempted to re-install the base firmware from Odin. The factory reset and settings toggling does nothing to solve the problem and Odin is giving me an Authorization fail- http://i.imgur.com/T1gE9Rn.png / http://i.imgur.com/zn4S94a.png. Any help?
EDIT: Wifi works, calling and texting works, the only problem is I am unable to receive data from AT&T when not connected to wifi
My download mode looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/uQMAA7F.jpg
After Odin fails, it shows this: SW Rev Check Fail : [aboot] fused 2 > binary 1

I think I fixed it by restoring a backup

Sometimes the simple things can solve it, try turning off the device and removing Sim card, and place it back in and reboot? Are you on stock rom?

Next time uncheck the bootloader or leave it blank, and Odin will work.

Your suggestion worked and Odin no longer gives an Auth error! Now let me see if it fixes...
EDIT: Well it ran but still failed, Thanks for the tip though http://i.imgur.com/zn4S94a.png

That's odd. Your phone was in download mode, correct?
Also, check your APN settings under Settings /More networks /Mobile networks /Acess Point Names

I have the 2 others checked in the dev menu. just the USB debug is greyed out.
Well to run that app you need to check that box that allows you to install apps that are not from the market

the settings are the same as my droid phone is set.
but I got it anyway, it seems, even thou the button is greyed out,
it still functions, nice trick samsung. make it look disabled.
I just held my finger there for a minute or so and it toggled on.
must be new security, lets just make them think we disabled it.
so, I am ready to play with other roms, err, how do I backup my factory rom?

also, you must be fairly good with the US tabbys? so, how do we do a network sim unlock without the phone/dialer software?
or do we need to go into maint/factory service mode?
and if so, what is that process?

While I didn't get any notification for updates, what's actually your received updates that need to be flashed via CWM Recovery (and not attempting at all)?
And how to fix it, perhaps you should try to unbrick it..

I have been informed by update utility in my phone there is an update. So the phone download this update and reboots. After reboot it enter to cwm and that's was all. Cwm did nothing.

After doing unbrick method I've got this
It's in polish and it's saying software update. It's keeps looping after reboot with the same screen.

I think unbrick method did not flash my phone. It stay on 4% even when my phone was rebooted to update screen.

try recovery with b2c app. Worked for me.
1 - put phone in recovery mode: Volume+ key and usb cord.
2 - start b2c app, select recovery
EDIT: the app will download latest firmware from internet

Perhaps that's just "screen bugs" that shows 4% (I've had the same experience) but it will get to 100%, pay attention to the progress logs.

This was solved earlier. Just flash V20a. The Chinese one with SmartFlash. You should read the forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374611&page=3
Thanks a lot guys.
Method with Chinese rom works like a charm.

[Q] wifi error and incorrect username

Hello all,
i have a motorola droid 3 for about 4 months. and since january, the wifi can't turned on, it says error. i already tried to switch the network, pull off battery, use a wifi recovery app, and even install another rom, but nothing works. i also have problems in social application as there is incorrect password problem. i already tried all the solution i can found, but same like the wifi problem, nothing works.
i can't go to verizon because i bought the phone online.
can anyone helped me for those problems?
there are leaked version rom (902 and 905), are those rom can fix my problems?
thank you for all your help
ps : for moderator, if this thread want to be merged or moved, please do. i still don't really know where to post. thanks
I'd try to SBF to stock, if it still doesn't work on no wifi at all then it sounds like hardware failure
is this how to do sbf flash?

Well if you flashed to stock with SBF, how could it be a software issue? I haven't had the problem, ever. *knocks on wood*.
I'd try some other wifi connections
i can't try other wi-fi because mine just won't turned on. even though i already change places to different wi-fi area, but my wi-fi still won't turned on.

Oh..right. My sisters galaxy ace has that same problem. Sometimes rebooting fixes it for her sometimes it doesn't . I don't know what you could try.. Perhaps you could flash one of the newer OTAs with kernel/baseband changes, but might be risky
Yeah...i actually want to flash with 905 ota leak, hope it can fix my wifi problem. But i'm gonna wait a while for it becoming official (hope it soon)

Flashed CM10.1 and lost Mobile Data/Phone. Nandroid to Sense doesn't fix it.

I have a rooted (Sprint) HTC One, and I've been running Viper Rom for months. I recently tried to flash the Stable CM10.1.3. When it booted I had lost Phone/Mobile Data. I tried to restore the data, but nothing worked, so I nandroid'd back to Sense.
I still don't have data. My 4G works, but I cannot make calls or text.
Am I correct in understanding that I need to achieve S-Off and flash a radio? Ideally, I'd like to have CM10.1 running on my device with data back. How can I achieve this?

Your screen shot points to the problem
There are NO APN settings on the phone so no data connection
Google your providers apn settings and manually install them onto the phone - it is very simple
Settings - Mobile Data - Access Point Names edit access point
Add all the correct data ( you will have an APN for data and mms they go in together on the same page, just add the info into the options needed : Note not all options require any input :highfive:
:fingers-crossed:

No APN means no mobile data connection, OP isn't getting a signal at all.
As for the OP, I had something similar happen to me on my S3 a while back, what does your IMEI number say? If it says 0, then your phone can't read your IMEI number so the network can't register your phone and provide service. If this is the issue you're going to need to restore your IMEI.
Hopefully I'm wrong and L0rdNels0n is right and a simple APN fixes your problem. Restoring your IMEI wasn't exactly a cake walk for me.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I fixed the signal issue. Here's what I did.
Other thread
I flashed a CM Rom and confirmed that I was on NV not SIM per that thread linked above. I was already on NV so that wasn't the problem. On the CM rom, I typed *#*#4636#*#* and I changed the network from unknown to CDMA/LTE. I tried to make a test call, and it said my phone wasn't active. Awesome sign!
At this point I restored my Sense nandroid. I ran Activate Phone from the menu, and then made another test call. Mission Accomplished.

don't update this app!!
download Phone Info *Samsung* from playstore here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en
Go to the 3 hash mark on top left, go down to the Other Tools, then go to csc changer (root) and change to verizon csc.
Furthermore you could use shortcut master, you could search Devconfig and launch it and change csc that way.
Either way youll need root, so my suggestions, flash samfail v2 or 1 depending on ur bootloader version, then use the above app and set your csc and enjoy. @darkjoker11
You also could try ##72786# and let it reboot and clear the activation, if it was on sprint before then that may be the issue as well, this is a sprint shortcode to deactivate it and cause it to re-register.
