Sometimes, even when cracked, the digitizer still works. If the screen below is broken, you could use a MHL connector to mirror the screen on your TV. That way you can see your actions on the screen.
If the digitizer doesn't work but the screen below does, use a USB Host connector to connect a mouse. That way you can still control the phone.
hope it helps!!

Hello.
Could you explaine what is wrong with my phone.
I`ve chaned the digitizer. Everything after that looks good & the phone is booting.
But I can`t see anything. There is no picture on screen, only light, sound & vibro.
When pluged into the PC it`s vibrates & sounds.
I`ve tried to boot bootloader mode but I can`t see what happend with it. Digitizer start vibrates after pressing VOL- + Power.
ZUNE writes eror code C101002E.
Please, help.

The Lcd is a very simple device, it's either working or not much like a pc monitor. If you properly reconnected it to the mobo it should display an image regardless of whether the digitizer is working or even on the phone. Take the back cover off and recheck the connection. You can also check the connection with a magnifying glass to see if you bent a pin. If you still don't have a visible screen then most likely you damage the lcd when removing the digitizer strap.
tnx

Hello all,
so my brother threw down his phone. Now it has big crack on the back and a light one on the display.
Despite this display looks ok, but only the upper half reacts to touch ...
So the idea is now to do some backups and then sent it in for repair.
The phone is stuck at the lock screen and cannot be unlocked because the number are in the lower half of the screen.
My first idea is to enable the "Glove modus" (Settings -> Display -> Enable Gloves) and maybe the display will still react to pressure touch... (?)
However how can I enable this modus, is it possible via adb and how?
Any help appreciated, cheers
PS:
The phone is rooted, btw.
Use mouse

What do you mean, exactly?
Maybe he meant to plug a mouse using an OTG cable. I haven't tried myself so i can't vouch for the method
He's right. Buy any cheap USB OTG adapter and plug any USB mouse (even wireless) to Your phone. Tested and working.
Thanks, USB OTG adapter did the trick.
So my xperia z1, whilst in my pocket, broke as I rested a pretty heavy dumbbell on my thigh. The screen is mostly black except for some rgb pixel "stripes".
I need to recover some text documents from it but that's about it. I tried mirroring it with Vysor, but it didn't detect the phone so I suppose that USB debugging is off.
I downloaded flasthool and it detects the phone but I'm not completely sure what flashing the phone is going to do, will it wipe the files?
If it doesn't wipe document files and also enables usb debugging that would be great, but I'm not sure what it does so I don't want to take the risk yet. Can anyone shed some light on how I can retrieve those files?
Hello,
My friend gave me a phone, to recover photos from it. It has broken screen and I can see only 3/4 of the screen, but the problem is, that it has ghost touches, so I can't even unlock it. The phone has locked bootloader, disabled USB debugging and no root. I can only disassembly it. My idea was to connect monitor or TV through hdmi adapter and disable touch screen from phone, but I don't have the adapter. Do you have any ideas to recover photos from it?
Hello XDA's
Dropped my RealMe Narzo 50A in water and continued to use it thinking it's waterproof, it's not.
Screen went dark right in front of my eyes. Phone and touch are working, replaced the screen but no luck, I think that water fried the chipset.
I want to enabled USB debugging (never enabled it) to cast/mirror screen on laptop or enable MTP or enabled talk back to help me take full backup.
TIA!
Bump!
