[Q] LTE Radio

Hello Everyone,
So I am unsure if the company I got my samsung galaxy note from gave me the european version of the HK version. They said the HK version is actualy N-7000 and the European version is the GT-N7000.
The reason I am asking is because when I go into the network settings of the phone it only has an option to set the phone for GSM/WCDMA or GSM only but mentions nothing of LTE. When I check a phone at NTT DoCoMo (I am in Japan currently) they have GSM/WCDMA/LTE and then GSM only.
I am worried that they accidently gave me the Hong Kong version instead of the european version with LTE. Even if the LTE freq's dont work with the DoCoMo version I would still like to know if I indeed have the one with LTE that I was expecting.
Does anyone know a way if I can check on the LTE radio using some # command.
Can someone with the european version check the network settings on the phone and see if it says GSM/WCDMA/LTE on their LTE phone of if it doesnt show but they do have LTE/4G working.
Thanks very much everyone!

Only galaxy note that has LTE is the Korean version which also has a different processor.... All the other versions are the same basically only the software is a bit different
The easiest way to know whether or not your Note is LTE is to check whether the SoC is 1.5ghz, made by Qualcomm, or 1.4ghz made by Samsung.
Samsung Exynos = HSPA+
Qualcomm Snapdragon = LTE

[Q] Will the i9305 work on the Rogers Network in Canada?

As the title suggests, my parents are currently in Hong Kong and will be returning in a few days. I was wondering if anyone in Canada has managed to test the phone out on the Rogers network? If you are in Toronto, have you been able to receive LTE? I have checked on Wikipedia the bands for Rogers Canada and for a mobile company in HK that share the same 2600mhz frequency in hopes that it may work. Any opinions/answers will be much appreciated!
To make sure you get a perfect answer on network compatibility you may be best asking at a Samsung store or a phone store as they will know 100%

Yes, I can confirm it will as I am on Rogers, and have one of these wonderful devices..
I just wish there was Cyanogen or The Collective for this phone
The Galaxy S3 dual core LTE that Rogers currently lists on their website uses the 1700/2100 bands for LTE, it is the SGH-I747 model. The i9305 is listed as 800/1800/2600 for LTE, which are completely different.
Also notice the i9305 is missing 1900 MHz 3G frequency. Rogers 3G operates on 850/1900 for 3G, so you may not have full 3G coverage in places as well.
I don't think the guy above me saying LTE works for him actually has the same device you're asking about. Just from looking at the frequency bands, there is no way LTE will work on Rogers. If you want a quad core LTE Galaxy S3 that works on Rogers, you will have to wait. The Galaxy S4 is going to be announced in the spring as well, so you might want to wait anyway.

[Q] Galaxy S 3 LTE (SFR France)

I have ths SGSIII LTE from SFR and they have a special network : the 4G network is not avaible yet every where but hey have "Dual Carrier" network. As i had understood, it it a 3g network and it is double connection to 3G+ so it might go up to 42.2 mbits/s.
What i want to know is : if I flash an official rom from Samsung will I still have that double connection ? or it is a specification from SFR's Rom ?
please tell meif i can flash my phone without loosing this double connection ?
It's not double connection, it's DC-HSPA+ (Dual Cell HSPA+ up to 42Mbps) and Yes, you can use any ROM (Custom or Official) and you won't loose it. It's hardware related not software, you're safe
Here in UK it's fast, DL up to 25Mbps!!! Unlimited for little money...
Remember to check model, it's GT-I9305...
Is the S3 Dual Carrier the same as S3 LTE?
I bought my I9305 and there's no mention of LTE anywhere....... It just says 'Galaxy S3 Dual Carrier' it has Quallcomm 4G sticker on it though.... Very confusing!

DC-HSPA+ exists here in the US on T-Mobile although it's only compatible with the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 at the moment since it uses 1700/2100 MHz for 3G/HSPA+.
The Qualcomm 4G sticker is on your device because unlike the S3 i9300, you guys have a Qualcomm RIL/LTE modem. DC-HSPA+ is determined by the network (it's either supported or not), but I think that all phones support it.

For Telcel Mexico, you need SM-G800M - different LTE Bands than the F.

N950F/FD on T-Mobile LTE

Just got my N950F/FD
Put my sim in and only connects on 4G
Used LTE discovery and it sees the LTE. But the icon on top does not turn to LTE.
Mobile settings also does not have option for LTE, only 4G/3G/2G
Went in to T-mobile today to have the sim card replaced with no success, still stays at 4G
Anyone have same problem or any suggestions?
Thanks!
Baseband Version: N950FXXU1AQHB
Build Number: NMF26X.N950FXXU1AQI3
Not sure where that model is from though if it's a import they typically only say 4g. That's lte in other countries. Best to look at network status and see if it says your connected to lte network.

Indeed, my Samsung Tablet S2 LTE international model shows only 4G on the USA T Mobile network, but its actually connected to LTE. For some reason in USA they use LTE symbol whereas the rest of the world notes it at 4G.
Im assuming like most other things, its all about making things sound bigger and better LOL
Thanks so much for the answers! I Will have to do a speed test... connection sucks at my apartment! LoL
Look in settings> about>SIM status. That will tell you. See mine for example.
T-Mobile 'Gigabit' LTE support?
Does anyone know if this specific Note 8 model, SM-N950F, supports the new 'gigabit' LTE promoted by T-Mobile and Qualcomm? Supposedly, only the S8 family, including Note 8, and the latest LG flagship support this gigabyte spectrum; but since the N950F has the international chipset by Samsung (Exynos?) compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in the other models, will this still work? If anyone can verify

Turns out the international model runs on Samsung’s own Exynos processor, NOT the Qualcomm Snapdragon which does support gigabyte LTE, at least in the States on the T Mobile network for now
