GPS location lost after root - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hi all,
I would post this in the VIS-X rom thread, but I don't have enough posts. Here's my story. I rooted, then flashed the VIS-X 3.0 rom a few days ago. Love it so far, but I ran into a huge traffic jam on my way home from work yesterday. I pulled out my phone to find another route. Google maps was able to place me on the map initially, but lost connection shortly after. It couldn't find alternative routes or update which direction I was facing either, but seems to have no problem telling me what direction I'm facing before I pick a destination.
I tried to fix this using a method I read about where you flash a rom with working GPS (stock), then flash back to another rom without turning GPS off. No luck.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone help me out? I'd be happy to provide any logs you might need.
Thank you!
Edit: I think I posted this in the wrong section. Please move to help and troubleshooting :/

Right. When I have it activated and try to use a GPS app such as GPS Fix, GPS Test, or GPS Status, none are able to activate. They just continually search for a fix on my location.

[Q]: Google Wallet on the One

Hi,
Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere on XDA, but I was just wondering if anyone has managed/tried to get Google wallet to work on our beloved HTC one?
Many thanks in advance for all feedback.
I've tried a few times with various firmware versions, and from what I gather unless you are on Sprint it seems rather futile.
Furthest I've gotten is with the modoco mod is the "setting up wallet, this could take 5 minutes." message, but nothing ever happens. I would love to get it working, so hopefully somebody figures it out.

I too am waiting to get wallet on the HTC One. Anyone have it?
I just got my htc one about half an hour ago as I'm waiting for it, I asked the same question. It can be done by pulling the nfc secure files from the sprint version, flashing that, then flashing the modoco mod. If you try without the libs then it won't work. I've learned this from the galaxy s3 forums. We need someone that knows how to pull the libs from the sprint htc one and make a flash able zip. And I think this is the wrong section for questions lol

how come it only works in the U.S? I was reading in the thread that they disable something in the phone so google doesnt know the phone is rooted etc?
The modaco method does not work. It comes with an insufficient privileges notification stating "insufficient secure element privileges for this system image (release-keys)" I really miss this app. I used it so much, was upset when i found out it only works for sprint.
I didn't get insufficient privileges, but it still would never setup. If you got yours to work in the U.S. krps, are you GSM or Sprint? And did you follow the instructions for modaco verbatim or did you do anything different?
Logcat shows no SMX found even on the google play experience device.

Sprint/HTC hasn't released or leaked a 4.2.2 version so those using 4.2 will end up with force close cycles from NFC. (I've tried every combination of libs)

No service on Sprint HTC One after RUU

Hey guys, so after a week or so on Nocturnal's GE Rom, my phone stopped getting service. I would still get 4G, but no bars. I did an RUU to see if that would fix the issue, but no luck. I'm stuck here guys, I need this phone for work and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Is there any possible way I can do that myself? Or does it have to be done at a Sprint store?

[MOD][FIX] T-CDMA 64 instead of Verizon Wireless fix

I have been having problems with the stupid T-CDMA 64 problem and being OCD-ish I wanted to fix it.
This zip is for the peoples who were having a hard time figuring this out..
It flashes the correct file needed to fix the Verizon Wireless banner.
I have tested it on AOSP and Stock and it seems to work just fine.
It happens whenever I use a custom kernel, try it out and see the results.

Written so fly like a G2
I had the same problem. When I install the cloudy flex rom, the signal bars would say i was roaming. I tried to do *228 option 2 and it worked. But after that it would show t-cdma 64. Then I tried the mahdi rom and the same thing. I reverted back to stock, 10b first, then 11a, then 12b. Took it back to the Verizon store and they said it had the wrong prl. They put in a new sim card and everything back to normal. Also when this happened, my 4g wasn't working and I would not get all text and calls. All is working now after the new sim card. The prl version for verizon 4g lte is 15287.
Different people will have different PRLs for their geographic location.

The *228 is probably what fried your SIM card. That is not recommended with the 4g SIMs because they're already initialized when you register your device on the network. Anything you do after the fact will only create an opportunity to corrupt the SIM data.

So did you have gsm service available or did it just break cell service entirely? I'm already using my d3 with the gsm radio for at&t anyways so I don't have cdma service availability already so that wouldn't bother me if it still allowed u.s. gsm service. Or maybe I could just reflash the radio img I'm using now with that rom anyways.

I wouldn't give up so easy, I'd take it up to tmobile and complain about their service. Don't mention where or how you got the phone just tell them that you won't continue to pay for what you're not receiving. I have a feeling they may just exchange it for you to keep you as a customer.
