Nope, install 11A and let your phone take the OTA updates.

Thats not to downgrade. its to try it with a clean install.
LGFlash Tool will wipe everything, create needed partitions and will format others, in the end will command a factory reset soo... when
your phone reboot after flash, you'll see the Android preparing for "first" boot.
If you can't get an euro_open with that method, forget about it.
Be euro_open or not, depends on your device region.

Revert to Stock for warranty

My gyro quit working and through the diagnostic where you dial *#0*# i get fail or no readings.
I'm running AllianceROM©v8 Lite but I need to roll back to stock. Do I just need to flash the stock 5.0 rom? Or do I need to roll back to KK and do it that way? Thanks in advance:good:

Download the nce downgrade file in the OP. And you'll be unrooted. Remember that ATT will most likely update you to 5.0 after they fix it or they will give you a phone with 5.0 on it most likely. if they replace it.

If they update you to 5.0 you won't be able to root. If they give you a replacement phone with 5.0 on it, you won't be able to root. There is no root for 5.0 right now.

Maybe a bad download? I've used it many times. Just put it in the ap slot using odin 3.09 and it should work. I'm not sure what SW rev check is.

If you want root, DO NOT DO THE OTA. If you don't care about root then ota will be ok. If you want root on 5.0 then use Muniz method in the op of that thread i posted to you.

LG G4 Android 6.0 Root Theory

Well since we are reciving the sprint updates, im wondering if we can flash the ZV9 partions indivudally since the download mode in ZV9 is fixed with DD Commands send_command.exe, cant we extract the system.img from the TOT and the BOOT.img from the tot modified and use send command method to flash the partitions manually back using the send_command.exe .
I've been reading (casually) some of chainfire's threads on SuperUser for Marshmallow and it is NOT pretty. This is on a unlocked Nexus 6P. System partition can not be touched.
I highly doubt we will see root on LG G4 with Marshmallow. Even if it was possible, there is not enough interest from the developers that have the know how.
The days of root are dwindling.
international lg g4 both have root for MM...so saying that the lg g4 wont have root is not totally accuraly.. it might take some time for us without bootloader unlocked but I have faith it will be at some point..btw I know that they have a patch for the tmo to use the international so maybe we can get a patch

T-Mobile has an unlocked bootloader already, so this is a moot point.

I dont think there is ive searched exhaustivly. Plus i dont think the ota will help. Need the whole tot. U might try to catch it with lgup. I have before. Find the folder that lg up store the temp download in as soon as its done move it to another folder. Up has a bad habbit of deleting them.
I may be wrong on the ota not helping. As it does upgrade the bootloader and such.
i guess i have to wait now to repair its boot ..

Root on 20r

I've been searching the forum for a while, but most of the rooting guide are based on earlier version. Do i need to downgrade before rooting?

Yes you would need to downgrade, but since you have a T-Mobile version it's most likely not possible due to anti rollback

yes theres is... since hyelton already told you no downgrade.. that means no flashing 20i...
so youll be using the same procedure the same steps except flash 20i kdz.. youll will be doing all this on 20r.. so follow instructons . usiong same procedure just skip the flash 20i kdz.

yes, same thread, just do the steps about OEM Unlocking and Root. i would grab the most recent twrp image from here (3.1.1-1) and the latest SuperSU here (2.82 TWRP Installable Zip)
you will also need adb and fastboot tools on your pc, get that here, latest version is 1.4.3
or you can just flash twrp and then flash an already rooted system image for 20v from @MicroMod777 found here
