Speed dial on the homepage - Samsung Gear 2 Neo

HELLO EVERYONE
Please i need to know if there is an application that let me put my wife mobile number on the homescreen so i can dial my wife fast and directly with just a press of a button instead of going to application then contacts and searching my wife number in the contacts , I really would love to know if some one can help me find an application like that for my gear 2

You can put her number on favourite and choose favourite contact instead of all contacts on the gear

Don't know if you've solved this yet, but here's what I did.
I set the hard button double tap to S-Voice.
When I want to call someone I double tap the button and say "Call Wife".
Easy Peasy and I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

Numbers in messages are normally underlined and when you quick tap them (not tap and hold )they are passed to the phone verification screen which asks if it is correct to dial (ie country and area code OK) and you just hit the green call button. This function is default on all WM devices.
Have you added some software that has changed this?

Thanks, I'm not aware of anything. I'm using a t-mobile mda vario iii.
Does this feature appear in calendar notes etc or just email?
thanks

just tested it, works fine in email but not in calendar? damn thats total pants! What ever could the developers be thinking.
/sigh , I'm really trying to like this device and get used to it (i have 7 days) but so far there are little things like this which I use daily which will make my use of it so annoying.
Mike
I'd love to be able to tap on a number in my calendar notes to dial..
All my appointments and contact details are stored in the calendar yet I have to write the number down, exit calendar and go to the dialer.
I don't recall ever being able to do it with any version of WM.

Insert Contact Info with Text

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer using the search engine. I've been playing around with the TILT while texting and I don't seem to see an option where you can insert contact information. This seems highly unlikely with such a high class phone so I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere. Is it insert vCard? When I try to do that it tries to connect to 3G and I don't want to be charged the data fee.
??? May need to clarify a little more??
I am not sure I fully understand your question. Are you saying that you don't see where to put the name or number of the person whom you want to send a text to? Also please advise what ROM you are running. I am sure everyone here can help you get it figured out. Good Luck, Kevin
I'm gussing that you want to send a vcard to someone.
Go to the contacts up, and select the contact you want to send.
The open the menu (right softkey) and select Send Contact->SMS\MMS
The reason why it is connecting to 3G might be that it is being sent as an mms (which needs a data connection), probably because it conatins a photo.

I think you mean where you insert the number of the contact. When you go to NEW SMS, then you tap on To:...... This then brings up the Contat app and you select whoever you want to text to. You can also use the D-Pad to do this.
I think I know what jwu222 means; when you're writing an SMS to someone, and you want to just drop in a number of a contact for them to use, it's commonplace on many other phones to hit menu > insert number or something to that effect, and voila, your SMS now reads:
"Hey man, here's <person>'s number, +4402blargh333" with no vCard BS.
There did seem to be an option back on windows mobile 6 to do this, and it didn't work or do anything (for me at least.) Upgrading to 6.1 has given me the ability to go Menu > Insert > vCard, bit this is not ideal as this changes it from an SMS (hence trying to connect to 3G) as well as trashing your message so the feature is still lacking.
CrArc has got exactly what I was talking about, sorry for the late response. So there isn't a way to do it like the simple phones huh?
Here ya go. Insert Contacts.
It integrates itself into the menu button while writing a text. It then brings up a crude version of your contacts list and you can choose the number to be inserted into the sms you are composing.
Try not to have too much fun with it!
thanks a lot for all your help that was exactly what i was looking for
Sorry, but the link to download it for free is broken at that site. Try here

[Q] New to Samsung...Need some help!

Ive always only ever had HTC phones, had loads of them now, and this time ive had a change and got myself the Note!
Its a bit different and is taking alot of getting used to!!
First one i cant understand is, if i look at a website, and then lock the phone, if i return to it later, and open the internet app, it goes straight to the homepage instead of the page i was last looking at!
My HTCs never did this and im finding it VERY annoying! Can anyone help me with that one!??
Second is the home button, which can unlock the phone from standby!? Seriously who thought this would be a good idea?
Ive seen a solution but the phone needs to be rooted, which seems a bit extreme just to change one button! Is there another way round this?
The third one is about the email clients, i have an exchange account and a hotmail account, the exchange account can be setup to not look for mail when im asleep (out of hours) but the hotmail client cant do this and i recieve all sorts of rubbish all through the night!! Is the only way round this to use the hotmail app and delete the account off the device???
My Desire HD is soorly missed at the moment! Can anyone help???!
Can anyone tell me how to access the browser settings to stop it going to mobile sites? In the menu and settings there isn't anything to disable it, like on opera you could go to opera:config...
Is there something like this i can access on this handset? Please help these niggles are doing my head in and starting to take the shine off the new phone, i don't know where else to ask!
Thanks!

You can acces the user agent settings by typing about:useragent in the adressbar.
With regards to the browser loading again in memory I haven't heard a fix for this. You can fix your hotmail account by using it as an exhange mail type of account. Than the same type of settings should be available to you.
About using the home button to unlock, you mean turn screen on? Or you mean doubletap on the homebutton?

Hadn't even thought of setting up the email like that! I think the phone keeps killing the internet after a while for me so im trying to stop the task manager to see if it helps keep my internet pages loaded...thanks for the info on the browser, and i want to stop the home button being able to wake the phone up, when its locked and you double click the button the phone unlocks and goes to the voice app, can't i have it so the button does nothing unless the phone is unlocked?
Thanks for the reply!
You can disable the double tap on home button in the voice talk settings.
Done that! Nice one! Only one left now is why the phne keeps killing the internet service for me! Hopefully ICS will sort it out when its pushed out!

Text Messages mixing up

The feature of the HTC One consolidating all messages to under the same person with different phone numbers is annoying for me.
many people i know have a personal and work mobile phone, so 2 numbers.
but the messaging app consolidates and puts it under the same name, so everytime i want to text i have to go to the menu and select which to send to
is there a way to remove this feature, or the only way is to create 2 contacts for the same person in the phonebook?
TIA
I think you could go to edit contact and unlink the numbers. Not positive but I think it could work.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
thanks for the suggestion, haven't tried it out since i downloaded the Go Pro sms right after posting
i think i'll just stay with this app, more options and customizing
