Just to let you know that I already try the previously proposed solutions to solve this problem.
I am from Argentina, and today I bought a HTC One M7 UL unbranded from AT&T, and I have this problem with the phone. It doesn't recognize my MicroSIM from the brand Movistar (Telefonica), I try every one of the solutions in the forum and no one solved the problem.
I want to ask you, if the phone is unable to recognize the SIM because a hardware problem or there is a software configuration of... i don't know... the radio, the firmware, the rom, or anything that can solve this issue.
The phone is Unlocked and Rooted, I alredy try the Android Revolution HD 71.1 ROM and now I flash the AT&T stock ROM.
This are the info of my phone...
Android Version 4.4.2
HTC Sense 5.5
Software Number 4.18.502.7
Baseband Version 4T.24.3218.09 _ 10.26.1718.01L
CID 11111111
HBOOT 1.56.0000
RADIO 4T.24.2318.09
If you need any other info about the phone, tell me.
Thanks you very much for your help and patience.
Sorry for my english.

Follow the steps in this post.
Have you cleaned the gold contacts with rubbing alcohol? Is the sim unlocked? If not, then try this method. Or you can get an unlock code from AT&T but it might be a little difficult since you are in Argentina.

Yes, I had the same issue.
In TWRP, wipe all the partitions except the internal storage. Then flash the rom and choose wipe in Aroma.
Im sure you wouldn't have manually wiped the partitions. The Aroma for some reason doesn't do the job. Manually wipe it and the ROM will install properly

Now going on the mission of reverting to stock (again) Lucky i'm SOFF
Hi, i was try this return to stock tampered and relock from bootloader gone but all time phone rebooting (loop)

I'm having this same problem. I've wiped it several times and reloaded 2 different RUU's and Android Revolution. With Android Revolution I've stopped it from randomly restarting but I still get the process error and it doesn't show a Baseband or IMEI. When I used the getvar in cmd it shows my IMEI and everything looks good.. not sure if its a hardware problem or what. Any ideas and if I have to send it back can anyone direct me to a US T-Mobile stock RUU? I'm still new to this... just switched over from a Galaxy.

Hello XDA,
Before I came to this subforum I was under the impression I had a regular HTC One, I got the same error message and then figured out I had a Sprint HTC One.
Now I had the issue where I had no service at all, my Sim card seemed to be detected but I ofcourse had the wrong firmware on it likely causing the issue.
So I got new firmware and a cm 12 (also tried stock rom) rom, but comming up to the same error message. The Sim card is detected and I am asked to fill in the pin for it which I was not when I had the wrong rom/firmware. I am not sure what is going wrong and I hope you guys can help me.
I am in The Netherlands and I am using radio Baseband - 1.01.20.0515
Thanks
Edit:
Tried:
RUU's:
I tried flashing this ruu, no success.
I flashed 3.04.651.2 RUU and 5.05.651.2 RUU after that to be sure to have a radio (according to this thread) but with no success. I also tried flashing the radio Baseband - 1.01.20.0515 again after it dit not work.
Radio's:
Baseband - 1.01.20.0515
bump
I wish I could help. My only suggestion is to try to run the Sprint RUU to reset the phone back to stock with the latest firmware to see if that helps. Unless I'm mistaken, the issue is that Europe uses GSM and Sprint is a CDMA carrier. So, you may not even have the right radios in the phone. The only saving grace is that it is a worldphone that uses LTE bands so you might be able to access those. But, you may have to unlock the SIM card first. At this point, I'm pretty much just throwing out ideas I've seen on the site since I've never been in the situation myself.

The hardware is capable of doing it. Before I started flashing it worked fine. I've tried going back to the stock rom but with no success.

sounds like you flashed a gsm rom on a cdma phone, and now the partitions are messed up, only way out of that that I know of is running the RUU for the sprint phone.
I've tried that no success
This thread is just for sprint m7 version 4.x.x
There is another way here SIM UNLOCK BY elvisypi but when you try it on the odex rom it says vDM had stopped so you cant unlock unless you flash another rom or do S-OFF so I decided to find a way and here it is.
LET'S START
1 - flash this via recovery [MOD] SIM UNLOCK for 4.3
thanks to chas123 because he's the one who hacked HtcOMADM_SPCS (which is also used in Sprint HTC One SIM Unlock Helper) making it possible to unlock!
2 - Flash ODEX-HtcOMADM_SPCS.zip
3 - Install sim unlock helper.apk and do as usual.
in case you have a problem flash the STOCK-ODEX-HtcOMADM_SPCS.zip then redo the steps . :good:

Yeah, I think you should think twice before you upgrade, because I basically documented my attempt to SIM UNLOCK on Lollipop 5.0.2 Sprint Stock ROM and it does NOT work...
So if you have SIM UNLOCK on anything before 5.0 then STAY THERE until someone documents it actually working for 5.0 and higher, because I have not seen anyone having it working yet...
Once again, I am on Sprint STOCK ROM but you can read about it in the other thread...

Can you post your phone details? I tried on my phone and it did not work so now I am trying another method and will post update
Sprint HTC One - M7_WLS S-ON
HBOOT 1.61.0000
RADIO 1.01.20.1225
OpenDSP 35.120.274.0718
OS 6.23.651.6
Just wondering if you have a different HBOOT or if you are running LATEST Stock ROM, because I keep seeing threads of people SIM UNLOCK phones that are NOT Stock ROM Lollipop.
So if you got it to work then I guess someone else can try again, but I am also trying another method and trying to get a SIM from Mexico because it might not like DOMESTIC US SIM cards since it is SPRINT

What worked for me was to just remove the ODEX file completely, so I flashed the modified OMADM APK and then removed the corresponding ODEX file. No more VDM client stopped errors. This was on 4.3.
hello there
My htc software information is attached below.
Its running android 4.4.2 and sense 5.5.
Do I have to downgrade it to 4.3 and follow the instructions ?
I haven't unlocked boot loader and rooted the phone. But I have done this in few other htc mobile so this is not a problem for me. And do i have to install certain roms before following above instructions.
i think i was able to sim unlock it, but getting invalid card. I have two Sprint HTC One M7s
Phone #1 (Getting invalid card)
HBoot 1.57 S-ON
Radio is 1.01.20.0904_2
Phone #2 (Works with TMobile SIM)
HBoot 1.55 S-OFF
Radio is 1.00.20.0315
Is there a way to downgrade the radio or am I missing something?
i think lollipop works but need to flash an older radio. i couldn't get the sim unlock to stick (by helper.apk and terminal command); but once i downgraded the radio, the unlock sticked and was able search for carrier...
Will this work with 1.6 hboot running resurrection ROM? Thanks.
I've been trying to Sim unlock my HTC one m8 sprint hk edition, tried most methods but I got all confused by all the different methods, and still trying to unlock it.
I'm running Viper ROM, lollipop, s-off, rooted and supercid.
Would anyone please help me or guide trough a working solution to my problem please.
Ps: I have a Simple Mobile Sims Card which I'm using to verify the unlocking, thanks in advance!!

radio problem
So i did all the steps to unlock my htc one m8, and I made a mistake flashing a radio which didn't belong to my device, now I'm constantly rebooting, and can't seem to find the stock radio that I'm supposed to use.
Unfortunately I made the big mistake to not backup my stock radio.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be gladly appreciated I'm willing to give a small donation as well thanks in advance.
My stock CiD was 654 now I'm super cid if that help
Your best bet would be to RUU at this point. If your device is S-off, you can install modified firmware without having to run a RUU. Check out OMJ's RUU/firmware thread located in the development forum.
Also, you cannot make a backup of your radio.
no need to backup your stock radio, just extract it from an ruu.
fixed!
i just flashed a firmware via hboot and got my radio back.
Now i have sucessfully completed all the steps to sim unlock it and did get ''you device is sucessfully unlock'' but still says invalid sim card any ideas?
Install an old 4.4.3 version of viper and try unlocking again
I flashed the latest Viperone ROM but now the phone can't detect the sim card and the IMEI is listed as unknown. Weird thing is if i do fastboot getvar all I can get the IMEI. How to fix this issue?

What is your software number? I need it so I can point you to the correct RUU for your device. (ex. my M7 is a T-Mobile USA version and the software number is 7.18.531.35 so I downloaded the 7.18.531.35 RUU from HTC USA's website)
You can find your software number in Settings>About>Software Information
