It's been a long time, but I am also wondering the same thing, downgraded my Sony Z1C back to 4.4 but I find the current lockscreen bad looking and really laggy. Is there a way to achieve what the OP has asked?

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I bought my Galaxy S Advance.
After using some Android 4+ devices I am used in using folders on my desktop.
Is there any app that allows you to use ics styled folders?
I cannot find anything interesting. The most are bad copies of the iPhone folders.
Thanks in -S- Advance
Hmm.. What "folder" are you referring to? Are you talking about the "circled" ones on the Homescreen which keeps a bunch of apps in itself?
Try some different launchers, some have this feature....

Holo Launcher HD does nice job of folders imho. Lots of settings like background and icon and text sizes.
Thank you both guys for replying, I haven't find yet anything :crying:

Yes! Thats what I mean. I do not mind if it will be circled but the stock gingerbread folders are really bad. I would like to keep on using the default launcher because I like it very much.

If it is possible I would like not to change launcher. Touchwiz is very nice!! But there isn't any good app for creating folders..
You can upgrade to Jellybean if you want.. as Jellybean has a more "modern" UI than the outdated Gingerbread...
On JB, you can use Nova Launcher, which has the Feature you are looking for
I will, but in my country the JB rom has not been given yet.
We are waiting for it, up to the middle of March it would have been released.
So, for now I stay with Gingerbread.
Yeah, thats up to you....
But if you want it now then you can Root your phone and upgrade to Jellybean.. it still didn't release for my country too (only released for Russia) but I have using it for more than a month now...
But then again, since you bought your phone just recently you might not want to void your warranty by Rooting it...

It's the default style of TouchWiz in JB.

Yes, that exactly, I bought my phone 4 days ago, so I prefer to wait a month and get the official update
hey, today ive seen the s4 lockscreen. its awesome ...
is it possible to get this for 4x HD cm10.1 ?
you could try an app on playstore like widget but I don't know if this is the right thing for you.
If the lockscreen needs the touchwiz framework to work then chances are bad that some po ne ports it

Short answer, no. Long answer, it would take alot of time to port it and there are not as many devs for this phone.
i used the Xperia stock launcher of my Z1 a few times and I find it to be limiting. That is why switched to Nova, but I want to retain the opaque/transparent notification bar of the stock launcher.
How can I solve this?
You can choose transparent notification bar in Nova launcher settings. It's inbuilt to Nova.
Cheers!!

Even with the check box in nova settings.
Running 14.1.G.1.534 with root....
Suggestions for an absolute noob?

Not sure mate. I have an s4 and nova free version. I have checked transparent notification in settings and it works here. Try contacting the developer.
Cheers!!

We need to wait for an update (Nova) for our devices like what they did for the Xperia Z before.

Ah really? Is that all? Converting the Nova Launcher to a system app... Now that's an easy fix for the future

It wont work unless the rom API supports it. Apparently the xperia interface doesnt, so it wont work.
Yeah it does, Xperia Z and z1 both do it, I have both handsets

I can confirm, the navigation bar is transparent after converting Nova to System Apps via Titanium Backup.
I want to move the clock on the lock screen up towards the top more. How do I go about doing this?

Can't on stock correct but I would think this would be possible with rooting or a custom rom.

Are you disappointed by the stock notification drawer/pulldown on xperia/timescape UI on the official update of 5.0.2?
Share your thoughts, sony could have done much better than this!

I think it's awesome. Sony always found a nice balance between stock and timescape.

The existing kitkat drawer with material colors and animations would have been better.

I'm not comparing drawer between kitkat and lollipop. Just saying should have been something different rather than stock.

And why? Andrioid 4.4's pure NP(notification pulldown) is a lot better than the Sony variant. And the NP in Lollipop is better than both of them. No need to change the perfection.
I think there is no problem with the Notification Pulldown menu with regards to the functioning. Its just not mixes well with the Sony's UI.
They should have included the sony style icons, some coloring matching to the theme or something that looks good with the Sony's UI. However, I hope there will be some mods coming up soon after the complete global rollout of the L update for the Z series.
