Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App-if you can please post me back as my sgs went from being bricked to working again then just crazy .....
I have no clue how to help you.
The amount of information provided by you just overwhelms me.
But i have an idea, give me a second.
*gets magic 8ball*
*shakes it*
Try using it in a room that faces north.
Okay ; you've got a sense of humour, but posted another as I realised how limited in dialogue that first one was, thing is I have no experience of flashing + such + my sgs bricked I had to get a jig as my galaxy was shipped without the 3 button method,I tried to flash using odin but due to my basically non existent knowledge I never done it correctly obviously + the phone I previously had was now not registering on any network,it was as if it was locked or something so I downloaded dagentooboy's app (samsung galaxy s unlock) but even that app asked me if I had an sgs,I then tried Rom. Manager, things like that but nothing could recognise my device , this is basically my problem , I formatted my internal + external memory (8gb + 16gb) I think maybe I shouldn't have? My reason for formatting both was due to me not knowing how my sgs had bricked in the 1st place, all I ask for is some advice here hope you can help out? If you can it would be most appreciated, like I say I am a total noob,regards.....

You are not the first one to semi-brick your sgs, the key is usually to get it into download mode.
Then use odin to flash a stock rom.
So i think you know how to get into download mode, and you already have odin installed.
It can be all found through search or just browing the stickies .
Taking a quick look i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
Grab a rom that seems suitable, no idea where you are from, you didn't say.
Flash hit with odin, there even a picture at the bottom of that post where to put what file.
I'm gonna go sleep now, try that and post results.
Thanks , forgot to say I'm from u.k.(scotland),will try as you say tomorrow,MUCH APPRECIATED.....

can you go into download mode
No way he can enter download mode when he flashed CWM for the wrong phone...
If you are aware you hard bricked your device, why are you calling for help? Hard bricks can only be repaired with JTAG, not something you can do at home.
time for a new phone... if it's hard bricked then just bin it and learn from you're mistake. remember research before you do anything with you're new phone.
If your phone is under warranty, go get it fixed in samsung service centre for free( Act innocent- say you set the alarm and your phone never started or rang in the morning)
If its not, say FML and use your phone as paper weight.
another victime of ROM MANAGERS ......lol
Never use ROM manager! Many people had brick with it!
Do you still have the guarantee? Go to SSC (Samsung Service Center).
Write a story and lied there. lol.
My friend do the similar thing with his Galaxy W, and got his part replaced by SSC. for free.
Damn!
OK guys im getting it to the ssc and ill tell you the results btw no download mode

Have you revived your phone?
I bricked my phone by using rom manager.
I can't boot normally nor enter recovery.
I can enter download mode but after I flashed stock roms by odin, nothing happened.
Anyone can help?

Wow, I guess the guy who sold me his GT-S6500 must have done something like this, because the exact same things are happening to this phone. It's true: before using strange programs or downloading any firmware without being sure it will suit your phone model, you have to read all the appropriate guides, as other users just recommended before. Or just ask for help to someone with more experience. :fingers-crossed:
Now it's almost 3 days I'm trying to solve the problem with this poor Mini 2. I'm afraid the seller could have used that ROM Manager, and if it wasn't enough, he also destroyed the battery.
Remember that if the phone shows a boot loop with the samsung writings but it still can go into Download Mode (but not into Recovery), the phone isn't bricked yet. It's called "soft brick" but it's still recoverable.
If not, you have to buy a device called JTAG (expensive option) or build you own small "Jig" device (cheap option), following some guides you can find on Google. That will "resurrect" your phone. Good luck

As you said, my phone should be soft-bricked because it can still go into download mode.
But I can't revive it from flashing any stock rom via odin.
So it seems hard-bricked.
should not use rom manager if still using stock rom. especially in the rom manager menu choose reboot into recovery. do not do this you will galaxy mini hard brick. This is my experience. but if you still can get downloads in flash mode can be through odin. but if you can not get into download mode . take it to the samsung service centre
This is my experience

My phone, (Samsung GT S 5570) Just died a few days ago while I was installing some software. The software was Clockwork Mod. To install this, I used an application from Google Play called -Rom Manager. After installing the app, I clicked something like flash clockwork mod, and a list was brought to me, from which I was to select my phone model, but unfortunately my wasn't among the list. So, I picked the first Model type and proceeded. The clockwork Mod was installed correctly and so I went to the next attempt and that was to Partition my SD Card. Consequently, my phone went off and I thought that it would restart on itself but....! I tried to restart it on my own but the LCD didn't even turn on. What do I do? To make it worse, the phone won't even go into recovery mode. The phone was already rooted, so no warranty. I suppose the phone is Bricked. Someone please help.
My email address, [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
Your phone is bricked and it's because you were trying to install CWM for a device that was probably not even remotely close to yours. Also wrong section I would suggest posting in this section forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1311 and seeing if they might be able to help you.

NEVER install CWM via rom manager it just isn't compatible with our device and 99.99% of people brick their phones because of it. And yes, your phone is probably bricked, hard brick. What u can do now is to try a usb jig method which is available in the guide in my sig.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
You're totally out of luck on this one mate, now you have a very nice paper weight if you still have a valid warranty, just bring the brick to the service center and they'll fix it for you, but never ever mention flashing, clockwork mod or anything related it happened while updating with kies, that's it and guide for making usb jig provided by tietganFTW works, I made one for myself already and tested it on mini, so there's nothing to worry about on this one

I bricked my old Galaxy Mini with ROM Manager :crying: by flashing CWM for the wrong phone. I think it was some Huawei model. Nothing is working! Is there a way to unbrick it? :fingers-crossed:
PS: It's not nessecsary, I will buy a new phone.
1. search before posting
2. search before doing ANYTHING with phone
3. you can try with usb jig/j-tag, there's instruction on how to make one floating around here somewhere
Most important rule always read about the stuf your doing

lol sad everyone is doing the same mistake. If your phone is under warranty take it to samsung service center and tell them u set the alarm in the night and in the morning it never turned on. They will change the motherboard free of cost. If it is not under warranty. Buy a better phone instead of paying $100 for a motherboard.
PS: Theres no way to bring it back from that ROM manager brick.

I think because it's installing wrong recovery image. Simply after recovery installed, ROM Manager will reboot your phone to recovery mode. Since the recovery image was wrong and unusable (since ramdisk & configs are different) the phone wasn't able to boot and ACTUALLY stuck on recovery mode.
But what does that have to do with the boot up sequence? Sorry, I'm an htc guy...

simply put, its like a one way door..once u enter into the room u cant go out..
same way the due to bad recovery and wrong mount partitions loading, once u boot into recovery using rom manager, u cant boot out..thus it will result in a hard brick..
I get it! It's all much easier with HTC phones... You can get inside a boot menu where you can flash roms and kernels and recoveries using the pc. In the boot menu, you can go to recovery. If you screw something up, flash a bad rom, kernel or recovery, you can always flag the right thing using the boot menu.

Hello all!
First of all, I would like to thank the entire XDA for all the help and great developers for all their hard work and everything! You're THE BEST REALLY!
I hope you could help me with my problem :/
A few days ago, I flashed a custom rom (i've changed a lot of them already and this has never happened to me before). After flashing the phone the android system worked perfectly fine but after rebooting, phone just keept (and still is) restarting every 3 seconds. I cannot go into CWM recovery, only into Download mode. I've tried flashing stock rom with odin and in the end when it says > Close serial port and wait until rebooting, phone just keeps rebooting again. (Black screen, flash for a second and then again reboot). I've found someone on YT who has recorded the same problem so that you would understand what am I trying to say.
Type SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE (NEED HELP IT WON'T BOOT!) into YT and you will see the problem. ( i cannot paste the link)
What could i do? Btw, i've searched the forums for solutions but i didn't find a single 1 that would help me I cannot do it even with odin
PLEASEE HELP ME

Hello! So the only option would be to change the motherboard I guess?:/ Phone is in warranty unitil 17th of February but I don't know if they will repair it because I don't have stock rom on it anymore :/. I've changed many roms and the latest installed is CM10. Do you think that they will see which ROM and other stuff is on if It doesn't even boot? Is there a change that I could format the intrernal storage to cover up my previous installations? (hope you understand what I am trying to say)
R: Bricked ace keeps restarting (cannot go into recovery/CWM)
I understand what you mean, don't worry I think you should try the recovery procedure to unbrick the Ace as last thing you can do to use it back again. If EVRYTHING you can do (or you want to do) doesen't work send your device to service and hope that Samsung repair it for free because covered by warranty. Probably they will never know what you've done on it because memory is demaged. Some time ago I was too lazy to flash an original stock rom and I could not find the one I needed on the web so I sent my device to service with CWM on and no rom (formatted partition) and got it back with stock rom for free (was in warranty time). Best whishes
Inviato dal mio GT-S5830
Ok was afraid that you wouldn't hehe Yea well I tried like 10 times already with Odin but the problem is when Odin is kind of finished and it's time for phone restarting, phone just gets into a bootloop again (or how is it called). So I don't know :/ Maybe I need a new boot file? I can only enter download mode but unable to enter any recoveries modes although I have CWM. Ok I hope so, will probaby take it to the service tomorrow. Btw, do you know any other recovery procedures besides Odin? And thanks a lot for replying to my problem
If you have download mode still try kies to see if it will flash stock again
Sent from my GT-S5830
Ok thank you! Haven't tried that yet. Gonna try it right now.
Or try a different rom downloaded for xda and reflash, sometimes some roms get corrupted
Sent from my GT-S5830
Tried to use KIES but it says that the phone is unsupported :S Could the problem be that I'm using Win8? I've tried other roms already but I think that MeltingSnowman is right, it's damaged and I guess it's only fixable at service.
Nothing to do with win8 really and what method are you using on odin ? One package method or are you using all options
And try using a diff sd card as i had a damaged one that effected my flashing a while back
Sent from my GT-S5830
Oh ok I just thought that the compatibility could be the problem. I'm using one package method because I cannot find other single files :/. I've serched google already but all I ever found ware one packages. Sd card is fine. Do you maybe know where I could find single files? Please don't think that I am lazy but I really haven't found them
Your single files are in your rom you already have downloaded you just untick one package then apply them one by one which rom are you trying to flash ?
Sent from my GT-S5830
I've downloaded some stock 2.3.6 from SamFirmware but it's only 1 file (.tar )S5830DXKT7_S5830OLBKT3_S5830DXKT5_HOME.tar.md5.
It most likely to be a corrupt file, iv heard all sorts of stories from that site, find a stock rom on here thats flashable through odin and try your one package method again and also download the cooper ops file again, if you go to stickies at the top of this forum you will find what you need and hopefully get your ace to boot up again

1) Kies can't flash firmwares because you need an operative phone connected to PC and if you have anything different from stock rom on your mobile will obiviously say "Uncompatible Device", no matter wich SO you're running
2) A corrupted file from internet is almost impossible to get
3) A demaged bootloader would cause bootloops so if someone knows a way to load a new one to your device you'll be alright
4) One package or 100000 files can't cause a demage like that so the problem is sure not that
Inviato dal mio GT-S5830
Why cant there be a corrupt or faulty file ?
Sent from my GT-S5830
Didn't find any of these files. :/ Only ZIP files which are, If I am not mistaken, only supported by CWM.
