2. search before doing ANYTHING with phone
3. you can try with usb jig/j-tag, there's instruction on how to make one floating around here somewhere
Most important rule always read about the stuf your doing

lol sad everyone is doing the same mistake. If your phone is under warranty take it to samsung service center and tell them u set the alarm in the night and in the morning it never turned on. They will change the motherboard free of cost. If it is not under warranty. Buy a better phone instead of paying $100 for a motherboard.
PS: Theres no way to bring it back from that ROM manager brick.

Should really contact devs of rom manager to make it unavailable to SGM... More and more pppl are bricking their phones because of this.
For your case, try a USB Jig. Details and guides can be found in the link in my signature.
Thanks guys, anyway, I just wanted to know is it fixable so I can sell it.
I'm gonna buy a new phone!

Lol, I bricked my phone too with ROM Manager. I selected a recovery for Geeksphone just to see if ROM manager has a protection for flashing wrong recoveries. And no, it doesn't have. I returned my phone to Samsung service and they replaced the motherboard. Now I continue to test lots of ROMs and my IMEI was bricked too. It's 000...
the app have the protection
wrong things is done by us by selecting wrong device model

I think because it's installing wrong recovery image. Simply after recovery installed, ROM Manager will reboot your phone to recovery mode. Since the recovery image was wrong and unusable (since ramdisk & configs are different) the phone wasn't able to boot and ACTUALLY stuck on recovery mode.
But what does that have to do with the boot up sequence? Sorry, I'm an htc guy...

simply put, its like a one way door..once u enter into the room u cant go out..
same way the due to bad recovery and wrong mount partitions loading, once u boot into recovery using rom manager, u cant boot out..thus it will result in a hard brick..
I get it! It's all much easier with HTC phones... You can get inside a boot menu where you can flash roms and kernels and recoveries using the pc. In the boot menu, you can go to recovery. If you screw something up, flash a bad rom, kernel or recovery, you can always flag the right thing using the boot menu.

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Mini, then I installed ROM Manager. After that I accidentally selected a wrong clockworkmod and now my phone have black screen, and won't power. I tried to enter in download mode but not working. I saw a comment with a guy that have the same problem as me and jig mode also not working. But I found a method, it's called jtag. Anybody knows about this method? Or i have to take the phone to the warranty service? But the warranty is void because i rooted the phone, may be I can lie and to say that i dropped my phone in water. What can I do?

I'm sorry to say but your phone is DEAD! You need to replace your mother board. Claim your warranty and tell them that you were playing Angry Birds and suddenly it died. Or tell them that at night it was working but in the morning it wasn't booting. NOTHING CAN SOLVE A ROM MANAGER BRICK!!!! I think I should make a sticky just to explain this.

I don't think that rom manager can remove bootloader from device and it may not be hard brick try going in to download mod by removing battery then press combi buttons and while pressing buttons insert the battery
and if you get into download mode just flash via odin
Don't use rom manager on mini, it has bricked far too many phones.
That said, you'll need to bring it in to the shop and claim warranty. Don't worry though, they can't see you rooted or anything because of the state your phone is in. Because of that, they'll simply replace the motherboard and ship it back. 2-3 weeks and you'll have it back.
Hy.
I read to that RomManager done many briks and i sugest it should be removed from te cyanogen mod instal wiki or taged whit not recomanded methode
Just say that then you woked it was off and dont turning on. I get it twice. So dont worry. For me changed mother board twice. Be happh, and go to waranty service.

Have you tried holding down the three keys for donload mode (volume down, home and power) while inserting battery?
Of course, you can clear the rom manually but it is risky.

It can't, neither can CWM.
It can screw with the boot process though so unless you already have flashed a proper CWM i don't think you should use it.
If you have, all it is good for is backing up and restoring and it does that via CWM installed anyway.
It just leaves callse for CWM.

If you are aware you hard bricked your device, why are you calling for help? Hard bricks can only be repaired with JTAG, not something you can do at home.
time for a new phone... if it's hard bricked then just bin it and learn from you're mistake. remember research before you do anything with you're new phone.
If your phone is under warranty, go get it fixed in samsung service centre for free( Act innocent- say you set the alarm and your phone never started or rang in the morning)
If its not, say FML and use your phone as paper weight.

Wow, I guess the guy who sold me his GT-S6500 must have done something like this, because the exact same things are happening to this phone. It's true: before using strange programs or downloading any firmware without being sure it will suit your phone model, you have to read all the appropriate guides, as other users just recommended before. Or just ask for help to someone with more experience. :fingers-crossed:
Now it's almost 3 days I'm trying to solve the problem with this poor Mini 2. I'm afraid the seller could have used that ROM Manager, and if it wasn't enough, he also destroyed the battery.
Remember that if the phone shows a boot loop with the samsung writings but it still can go into Download Mode (but not into Recovery), the phone isn't bricked yet. It's called "soft brick" but it's still recoverable.
If not, you have to buy a device called JTAG (expensive option) or build you own small "Jig" device (cheap option), following some guides you can find on Google. That will "resurrect" your phone. Good luck

As you said, my phone should be soft-bricked because it can still go into download mode.
But I can't revive it from flashing any stock rom via odin.
So it seems hard-bricked.
should not use rom manager if still using stock rom. especially in the rom manager menu choose reboot into recovery. do not do this you will galaxy mini hard brick. This is my experience. but if you still can get downloads in flash mode can be through odin. but if you can not get into download mode . take it to the samsung service centre

My phone, (Samsung GT S 5570) Just died a few days ago while I was installing some software. The software was Clockwork Mod. To install this, I used an application from Google Play called -Rom Manager. After installing the app, I clicked something like flash clockwork mod, and a list was brought to me, from which I was to select my phone model, but unfortunately my wasn't among the list. So, I picked the first Model type and proceeded. The clockwork Mod was installed correctly and so I went to the next attempt and that was to Partition my SD Card. Consequently, my phone went off and I thought that it would restart on itself but....! I tried to restart it on my own but the LCD didn't even turn on. What do I do? To make it worse, the phone won't even go into recovery mode. The phone was already rooted, so no warranty. I suppose the phone is Bricked. Someone please help.
My email address, [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
Your phone is bricked and it's because you were trying to install CWM for a device that was probably not even remotely close to yours. Also wrong section I would suggest posting in this section forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1311 and seeing if they might be able to help you.

NEVER install CWM via rom manager it just isn't compatible with our device and 99.99% of people brick their phones because of it. And yes, your phone is probably bricked, hard brick. What u can do now is to try a usb jig method which is available in the guide in my sig.

You're totally out of luck on this one mate, now you have a very nice paper weight if you still have a valid warranty, just bring the brick to the service center and they'll fix it for you, but never ever mention flashing, clockwork mod or anything related it happened while updating with kies, that's it and guide for making usb jig provided by tietganFTW works, I made one for myself already and tested it on mini, so there's nothing to worry about on this one

Hey Guys,
I have Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830), recently while uprading the my ace with the Cyanogenmod10, i had bricked my phone, now it never goes into the download mode so that i can flash the firmware with Odin. Actually yesterday, i used Rom Manager to Install the Custom Rom, and when said yes to install the custom rom, phone shutdown, and never started again, i googled around for some way out to go into the download mode, tried all the key combination, but could not go into the download mode, i tried the Home + VolumeUp and connected the USB to PC, with this method, my phone was detected, but because it was not in the download mode (i guess), so Odin just stucked at setup connection... and does not go further. Have anyone went through this dilemma, can anyone help me out of this, my warranty period is elapsed, so was thinking to get phone back to life myself.
Please anyone help me with this, i love the phone... I know that was my mistake to use Rom Manager to Install the Rom.

I bricked mine 1 week after getting it. I took it in and said it shut off and I can't turn it back on. They made sure it wasn't the battery, then replaced it under warranty. So if you still have a warranty, it's worth a try. The guys at the store won't know you've been screwing around with it.

umm ????galaxy tab 2 ????? I think your in the wrong forum, this is the HTC One M7 forum, and if you got those rom's from here, im not surprised they are failing, they are not for your device in any way, shape or form, stop flashing now, you will seriously break your device beyond repair.
you need to be here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2
Happened to me before. Just flashed stock kernel and worked again.
