Dear Xperia T users,
Some of you might already know me, but some won't. I'm a developer for Sony Xperia phones and I have some experience now
I'm looking for people that are willing to test a kernel with recovery for me
When we have a working recovery I'll also need testers for my custom rom: KA Xperia SSpeed
I haven't started to make the kernel with recovery yet, first I need to know if there is interest in this at the moment?
Thank you,
Krabappel2548

ok, pm me if you want to test some stuff
just flashing kernels to begin, but it won't brick your device if you follow my instructions
Hey Krabbple , if you realease roms for t then try to ask pple to test on tx because its exactly the same but diff design / remove batt. also it might be compatible for v but kernel flashing may be diff.
I will test. I have unlocked bootloader and rooted. Both kernel in other thread just stick on bootlogo

new kernels posted, let's hope they boot this time the command I use should be good, I used the right base adresses
I posted 2 insecure kernels, please test them both and report back to me
I am getting my T next week krab, we could join up for development?
Ive got mine now, put me down for helping to test the ROM's and such, would rather be honest and say that I have no idea on how to flash a kernel.
My Xperia T should arrive in the next days to be compared with a S3 first hand. I'm pretty sure the S3 will lose and will be sent back to Amazon - and I'm absolutely up for some crazy flashing
What can I do to help development? Should I dump the firmware and upload it? It is from O2 Germany and without a simlock, can't say if it is branded yet.
the big and might Codeworkx is having the T too....
expect fabulous dev work here !!!!
Can't wait Krab
Bring the Rom & Kernel on.. LOL

Hi
I've got a xperia T and I would like to develop but I have a problem, I can't unlooked my bootloader, so, how can I help?
I have xperia tx .. and have rooted it with bin4ry method. added cwm .. and having stock JB .411
i downloaded custom rom aand gapps frm aokp my phone bootloader is not unlocked .
i flashed using cwm .. after that my phone woudnt start only the vibration ( one beep )
again via update service i updated it
i m nt an advanced user can u give tutorials for custom roms ?? and for bootloader
can u send me links or tutorials for tx ?
For Locked Bootloader - don't flash CM, AOKP,AOSP,MIUI,PA. If you want these ROMs, unlock your bootloader first.
So just stick with stock-based ROM if your bootloader is locked.
For more info, read the All-in-One Xperia thread by gregbradley in Q&A section. A very useful read for newbies like you.

Thanks Dude

hi, new to the forum and android for that matter was looking for some advice and information i have just renewed my contact the the carrier threeuk and took the sony xperia z (great phone) , i was reading about customs roms and all the other great stuff on this forum but i have a few questions :
when try to unlock the bootloader mine says "no" which is im guessing down to 3 uk blocking this so if i flashed and debranded the xz would that enable me to have "yes" in the service settings or do i have to contact 3 and somehow hope they would allow me to do this and if not and i still cant unlock my bootloader would there be any sort of hack or something in the future that might enable this to happen
thanks in advance for any feedback

AFAIK, if your device says "Bootloader Unlock Allowed: NO", there's no way to unlock it.
There are roms that work with BL locked also, if you're interested.
The only reason (For now) to unlock BL would be CM or Custom kernel.

In order to install 4.2.2, you need a CM based rom, so you'll need an unlocked bootloader.
The first thing you need to do is check if your bootloader is unlockable, so take a look at this thread.
After that, you need root and CWM (Locked BL, Unlocked BL).
Then, you need to find the rom you want (CM, PAC, AOKP (Kanged), among others). You can find more under development or original development sections. (These roms will work ONLY IF YOU HAVE UNLOCKED YOUR BL).
If you can't unlock your bl, you can also install Sony based roms, such as KA, RomAur, among others.

In each mod's thread are the instructions. Normally, is the way you say, but there are variations if we have locked bl.
Hi to all.
I bought the Xperia T (lt30p) and i would say what is the best rom and the best kernel. Thank you!
Please use search, also there is no answer to this question so there is no point posting it. Especially add your have not said what you want from the Rom....
Is your phone's bootloader unlocked? You can only flash custom kernels if your bootloader is unlocked. Not all of our phones are able to have the bootloader unlocked. There are threads in the forum to show you how to check if your phone is allowed to have it unlocked. If it says "No", then right now there is no chance of having your bootloader unlocked. If it says "Yes", then you can unlock it through Sony's dev website.
There are some great ROMs for the XPeria T that use the stock kernel. Right now, I am using XPerimenT ROM v2.9 on my LT30a. It's a little old, but I really like it. It is based the official 141 firmware.

On htc desire hd (i know its old ) / note 2 - kernel and recovery was separated and can be flashed separately not like on my new z1. And finally in what order i need to flash rom and kernel? First kernel and then rom? I've already unlocked BL. Sorry for my english. And again welcome in z1 section

You can find most of the stuff in the cross device development section (including recoveries), at least i found mine in that section
And on my previous xperia u, i used to flash kernel first and then rom, but on z1, i just love the stock one, so i didnt go for custom kernels and roms
EDIT:

heres the full z1 developement index
