Hello,
Today i had installed CM 11 with CWM 6.0.4.7.
When i try to download an app or a file with Google Market or Browser i see this msg "The SD card is unmounted".
In recovery mod when i try to mount the card there are error. Also i cant connect it to my laptop. I enabled the Developer mode and USB Debugging.
Sorry for my bad English, i hope to understand it.
It is a known problem for users with CM11 and S6500 (the model with NFC). Unfortunately, it looks like it won't be fixed any time soon since AFAIK the main developer for CM11 (TheWhisp) has a S6500D and doesn't know the root of this problem.
Cm10.1 by bleached
Just flash cm10.1 by bleached it has no internal storage mounting errors and use cwm 6.0.3.2 by him its all here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682511 just go to download section.

Got almost the same problem earlier today (not with CM though).
A restart solved that problem (for now). Have you tried that?

Same error (Please Insert SD Card before using the camera.)

Has there been any kind of notification telling you that your SD is corrupt?
Can you see your SD card in a file manager?
Do you even have an SD card? CM does the internal storage differently.

I'm surprised that Cyanogenmod install can be done without a physical external SD card.
It's mandatory to have an external SDcard to use Cynogenmod, even if your internal SDcard is empty.
There are complicated things to do as mentionned above to switch internal and external mounting points for Cyanogen but I can guess this can be tricky for someone not used to those things....
So:
- buy a sdcard, even a small one, internal sdcard still can be used for multimedia files and so on, and is mounted as /mnt/emmc (grab Astro File manager for exemple to see it) and is concerned by media scanning.
- flash back stock firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1127849) if you didn't made a Nandroid backup before flashing CMod.
- flash another optimized Froyo rom (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1127849 there are some)
- Didn't try Paul Modaco's Gr2, based on official Lg leak 2.3.4, perhaps its mouting points are more conventionnal; but Gr1 pre-baked didn't went good for me as there were no SIM card detection (probably missing some APN related files or so...) so I jumped to CyanogenMod Nightly.
I just bought an O2x with CM7 RC1 already installed. The camera doesn't work (Please insert an SD card before using the camera) and my computer doesn't find the phone when i connect the USB cable(it says it's charging but nothing happens on the phone or the PC). I tried installing LG Pc Suite and the official software on the LG site(mobile updater) and the USB driver seems to be installed but nothing happens when i connect the phone.
What should i do? Should i flash a newer CM7 nightly or a stock firmware? (i have literally no idea how to do that, i'm going to have to read some tutorials). Can i do that if i can't connect the phone via the USB cable? Is there another way?
Yeah flash a newer version, RC1 is quite dated. In the new nightlies you can make internal storage replace the SD card.
You can update the drivers with the LG Mobile Support Tool, PC Suite isn't compatible with CM7.
I installed LG Mobile Support Tool, still nothing. The battery is "Charging" but nothing else happens on the phone/pc. Can i flash a newer version if i can't use the usb to connect to the phone?
Edit: The phone has ROM Manager 4.3.2.3 installed and when i start it: "The SD Card needs to be mounted to use ROM Manager."
I suspect you don't have an SD card, only internal storage. You can't use ROM Manager with that on RC1.
Try the drivers here: http://android.modaco.com/topic/335...elease-103521-20110725/page__view__getnewpost
No, i don't have external SD card. The phone already had CM7 when i bought it. So i just have to download those 3 files and follow the tutorial?
I also found this tutorial and it has that AP BIN thing in plus. Which one to follow? I would be happy to install stock froyo if everything works on it.
Which one to follow depends on what you want for your phone. Personally I'd use CM7.
Ok , i'm gonna go with CM7. If i follow that tutorial(the one you posted) what exactly i'm gonna have on my phone? What does it do? Don't i have to install a newer CM7 nightly build?
This tutorial doesn't say what to put in the AP Bin box, i just leave it blank?
If you go with CM7 then you have to install via recovery, not Smartflash, completely different process.
Download the newest version from here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p990
Save to your phones internal SD card
Update recovery (unless already on 4.0.0.9 or higher)
Reboot to recovery (can use ROM Manager for that)
Install zip from SD card
Choose zip
Select the CM zip and pick yes
Reboot
In the CyanognenMod settings, in the top option (i foget what it is now) tick 'use internal storage'
Reboot again and you're away
"Save to your phones internal SD card" How am i gonna do that? I can't use usb to connect the phone.
Oh, have you not sorted that yet? Bugger.
Try running mount -t auto /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 /sdcard from the terminal, with any luck this will make your internal SD /sdcard and you should be able to download CM via the phone. You can also use ROM Manager to install it then as well.

Here's the situation:
1. Encryption Unsuccessful occured while on CM9
2. Flashed Unofficial CM10 ROM including Gapps on external SD
3. Modified the vold.fstab to swap internal and external SD cards.
Things were working smoothly, with couple of bugs but that was fine for me. As I wanted to switch the official CM10 nightlies, things got a bit more complicated. Here's what I've done to get to the point of my question.
1. Format + Partition external SD
2. Flashed latest CM10 nightly (which doesn't include Gapps)
3. Flashed "JB Emmc Reverse.zip"
4. Unable to flash Gapps because the package is trying to install itself onto E:/emmc.
5. STUCK
Everything seems to work fine (a.k.a camera works) except I don't have the Gapps which is oubviously an unpleasant thing. I tried to install Play Store.apk as I was booted. It installed but always foreclose on opening.
My questions are...
Which ressource can I use to compile manually the Gapps into the CM10 nightly zip file ? Is it a working method ?
Do I have to install all those apks manually with ADB ?
Respect to you guys !
P.S. If needed I can edit the post with proper links to zip files and Rom threads in dev section.
After finally getting rid of stock LG Froyo, I'm running the lastest CM 10
Everythings fine except most apps cannot detect external SD
Using File manager I've found in root /sdcard/ and /storage which contains /sdcard0(I assume internal) and /sdcard1(my external)
My gallery and camera app when started will say No External Storage then close.
I've tried ICS Binder- Fails after reboot when used
Lots of apps cant detect the external SD
Does anyone have similar problem?
is there a fix??
Thanks!
-Dan
I hope you have NVFlash in your PC, if not try to search around on how to do it.
Use this tool.

I just flashed the newest CM10 Nightly using CWM. Same problem D:
i don't see external sd card in settings or in any file manager, but i see it in recovery.
i have CWM 6.0.4.4
and i just fresh installed cm 11 first official nightly.
i have 32GB class 10 sd card
is this i'm doing something wrong or a fault in cm nightly?
i tried to click on mount sd card in settings menu, but it doesn't work.
i see sdcard1 folder in es file manager but that is empty, but my card has got data on it which i can see in recovery.
when i connect my phone to pc, it only show internal storage.
is there any solution for it?
Please, before asking question, check the CM thread first.

you are not in the right place
Does the camera works man,i think your sd card will work gradually it's just a nightly version give some time to improve.
camera is working at my first look
Exactly the same problem here. Everything works well except for the following features:
- SDCARD (32 GB here) does not show
- Privacy Guard freezes and it shows the status icon even if the app that uses it has been closed
No other bugs so far. Everything works with iodak v9 kernel.

Hey friends,
I have a really annoying error with the USB by the whole custom roms i've installed on my P990. When i'm copying some files (e.g. music) from the PC to my external sd, witch are a little bit bigger than 500mb or so, the USB connection is getting lost by 10% and then after a while its connecting again...
The error does only exist in the case from the PC to the external sd... to the internal sd it is all fine. :crying:
Only the stock (NVFlash_LGP990_v30a.tar) works with both (external and internal sd).
In the recovery (CWM and TWRP) it doesnt work, too. Onlay when i've installed the stock).
Sorry for my bad english, I hope you could help me.
Custom Roms I've tried: - djangomanouche (x1.6.5 and x1.6.1)
- cyanogenmod (10.2 the rom, 10.2 and 11)<--latest
