I am asking if anybody has UEFI binary or UEFI cab update packages for there model of mobile phone to please send me a link. I want to try an experiment to see of other brands besides HTC can be extracted with the same tools.

Flash RM-937 firmware on RM-940 progress

Hi,
So I started fiddling with flashing a RM-937 image onto a RM-940 device yesterday and I feel like I've achieved some success as the step I get stuck on, there is nothing about it online - 0 results on google.
Anyhow, at first I modified Nokia.Murzim.Uefi.FlashApp.CoreProgrammerAdaptation to take "SKIP_ID_CHECK" as an option which turned out to be a dead end as I was not authenticated with Nokia Care Servers and those flags need certain permissions to execute.
My second route was trying to trick the system into thinking it was an actual RM-940 ffu file, so I went ahead and downloaded the modified Nokia.Packages.VariantPackage.DataPackage20.dll to be able to edit the .VPL. I changed the FileList portion of the .VPL to contain the files from the latest RM-937 firmware instead of it's original RM-940 file list.
I also edited the RM-937 .ffu file to be marked as a release for the ATT version of the 1520 using HxD, saved the changes and checked the new CRC which I then applied in the RM-940 .vpl.
It successfully detects the image as a RM-940 image when I load up Product Support Tool for Store 5 and goes as far as to failing with the message:
"Unable to parse FFU file. The FFU has wrong version, must be version 2.0 but file has 1.0"
I don't know if this stage has been reached before, assuming it has, but nothing has been made public. I was hoping that someone on here might have a clue about how to edit the .ffu file version flag to see if that might be the last step in successfully flashing a RM-940 to a RM-937.

Hi good morning everyone Foroinsider,

Hi. index sector 25161472
I was looking to convert the .bin to .hex but can not find, please, if you have the, they are very grateful for your help,
If you can't found it, then there is no one file to do that.
You can recover your device using "Windows Device Recovery Tool".
Even you can get official hex flasher through it.

Bricked teclast x98 air III??

Hi!
I accidentally installed the 2.05 bios in the mirek flasher on my teclast x98 air III m5c5 now i just get stuck at the chinese letters boot screen och some green battery?!
I can get into DnX mode and Bios menu but when i try to flash the pad again the mirek flasher wont recognize the unit.
I also tried to unbrick the unit through this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/help/unbrick-bios-softbrick-withouth-eeprom-t3285054/page4) butall i get when trying that in dnx mode is the handle 344 error??
So basically what i need is the program that Ionioni had in that thread but now removed.
Please help
thanks in advance
There WAS (is) other universal unbrick tool from ionioni!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/help/baytrail-dnx-mode-bios-flashing-tool-t3295105
I dont know what happened, why it had to be deleted, I have not got this tool.
someone maybe have this tool and update it?
Yep, I got it. I will post it asap.
*****UPDATE*******
Here you can download it flash_bios_dnx_v3 : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1EG-i0pY3FINlYyT3E1ekZwOHc
I didn't try it yet, I used ionioni's other tool (C5J8 bios restore).
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! I have no answers to you.
Instructions:
Baytrail DNX mode BIOS flashing tool
what:
this is an EFI exclusive application (aka what runs on your BIOS chip). the name says it
should work on ALL Baytrail (did not tried other SoC but could be that works there too)
why:
some are having issues in using kernel based tools so this will work for them (hopefully)
how:
1. unzip in some folder (there are only 2 files in the zip, the efi loader and an additional tool)
2. place your bios in this same folder and IMPORTANT run the md5add tool on your bios file (md5add.exe your_bios_file your_signed_bios_file). the tool simply takes the original bios file, computes the md5 for it and then concatenates those two producing the output file. i could have left the bios file pushed to the tab "unsigned" yet it's better this way (so that you are SURE that the file that will be flashed is identical and no bits have been lost corrupted during the fastboot pushing etc). you can check with a hex editor, it only adds 16 bytes (the md5 hash) at the end. if you will try to push an 'unsigned' bios it will NOT accept it!
3. start in dnx mode and input:
fastboot flash osloader bios_flasher.efi
fastboot boot your_signed_bios_file
now wait and read the screen... everything goes AUTOMATICALLY
it seems that on some Baytrail devices (x98?) after the Intel flasher finishes writing the new bios it hangs (on my tab i never experienced that) yet i have owners of x98 that did have the hang. because of this the next verify operation will never start and the tab will hang... if such a case nothing much you can be done, but force a power off (in all the cases experiencing hangs the bios was flashed ok). the verify operation is not so much important (i never had a failed verify operation in past, moreover the flashing is done while in EFI/BIOS stage so nothing can interrupt it in order to mess the writes)
risks... of course there are (but i would say a less than flashing from windows or android)... but since you need to use this i guess it's either this or a flash programmer
ps. goes without saying ... WHAT bios file YOU will use is your responsibility so make sure you use a correct one for your tab model or you might HARD-BRICK!!!... this tool just takes it and writes it on your device!

Lumia 925: I need help in jailbreak!

Hi, I had a Lumia 925 and wanted to jailbreak it since I found a few people who did this and I wanted it for my own reasons. Anyway, as with all the guides, I used the Windows Phone Internals tool. I downloaded all of the files from LumiaFirmware.com and I opened Windows Phone internals, selected Unlock bootloader and added all of the files (rebooting to Flash mode, of course) and it wouldnt let me start. It would always say: The OS version is not supported. Use a donor-FFU. I tried with another FFu, but it still did not work (I tried flashing the downloaded rom and trying again, but same thing). Anyway, now I did something and now the device is recognised in Windows as "Qualcomm QHSUSB-DLOAD". How can I restart the phone? Windows Phone Internals does not recognize it.
By the way, this is my first time doing things, I may have done something wrong. I did download all drivers, in case you are wondering
Hi,
open windows device manager and use the windows/nokia emergency driver for your device. Then look for thor2.exe, it is a part of WindowsDeviceRecoveryTool.
Open a command prompt window.
Type/paste thor2 -mode emergency -hexfile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\FAST8930_BATMANROW.hex -mbnfile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\RM994_msimage_v1.0.mbn -ffufile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\RM994_3056.40200.1407.0002_RETAIL_eu_euro2_1168_02_405247_prd_signed.ffu
REPLACE my product RM994 with your product and the file names too. Replace D:\Packages\Products with the directory on your PC. You get the emergency files from lumiafirmware.com.
Contact me if there are problems, we will sort that out.
Regards,
Joachim

UNLOCK BIOS - Acer Aspire V3 771G - Need "DisablePassword.efi"

Hi guys, can someone please provide the "DisablePassword.efi" (comments or DM).
The file cannot be found online anymore
-Insyde H20 BIOS
-Manufacturing Date: 10.2012
-password is stored in EEPROM, instead of CMOS, only chance is .efi file or a programmer device
-"System Halt" after 3 faulty passwords, no hash or recovery key, cannot use bios-pw.org for masterpassword
-tried jumper shorting, remove battery, DOS-prompt commands, contacting Acer support etc.
I bought this model officially, but Acer charges a ridiculous price for this 1min process of flashing and booting from the .efi file, so the employee suggested to create a post on threads and try my luck.
