I just replaced the front glass piece on my s3 mini and the LCD screen no longer lights up nor do the the soft buttons... I've even got it on charge and the only feedback back I'm getting off it is when I plug in the charger or unplug it. Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced.

A couple of weeks ago my screen broke while I sat down with tight jeans on a chair, while having the phone in my pocket.
I ordered a OEM screen replacement and today i thought i managed to replace it.
The problem is that the screen does not work, I can hear the phone turning on but the screen just flashing the same yellow/green/white color whatever i do.
Here is a link to a video of the screen. youtube.com/ watch?v=RR_6fwPgJLc
Does anyone have a clue what could be wrong? I was very careful during the whole replacement procedure so i do not think i broke the screen by my self while i was replacing it.
Thanks in advance!
In my opinion its either a faulty screen or the flex cable was damaged.

Thanks for your response.
yes, my first thought was also that i have gotten a faulty screen.
Which flex cable do you mean?
The flex cable that connects the screen to the phone.
Hey guys.. I was changing my milestone screen digitizer. However, I accidently ripped off a black colored ribbon( I think it's a very thin cable) that was attached from the lcd screen to the battery power.. Anyone here able to repair or change the cable for me..? Thanks

It is the flex cable. You can find some on ebay. They don't cost very much.
I've bought the flex cable and put it on.. the whole lcd turns up but becomes black screen.. the button only home button is lit up... is my lcd faulty?

Me too
ripped Flex cable , then i buy a new one ---> put it on but the sceen still black
Don't see M icon
only home, back.... button light on
Check again the connections! It will work eventually if the cable is okay.
I ordered a mainboard and installed it. I almost know sure I did everything right. But the screen is not working. Touch and a black screen... I think it is the connector but don't know sure... Anyone with suggestions?
Edit: It works fine with the old mainboard.

its simple..just check the lcd flex plug... make sure its pressed into position correct... if it still does not respond, then you have probably damaged the flex somehow... a crease.. a very small tear... a pin or pins in the plug itself got pulled loose... etc... it doesnt take much...

Tanks for the response. I know sure it is connected properly. And if it's broken it's very hard to fix I guess...

Hey there.
I bought a broken HTC ONE S from someone on ebay.
The bottom lights light up but the screen remains black. It seems like it boots up properly as I pressed the home button and one of the volume buttons and heard a picture sound.
I saw online that it's recommended being booted into recovery mode using volume and power button but nothing.
Just though I'd ask before I buy a new screen assembly.
There is a crack that goes across the screen. I thought it might be broken but my experiences with broken LCD's are that when they break they sitll light up white...?
Only thing I can think of is water damage maybe shorted out the LCD. I'm unfamiliar with the One S so Idk where the water sensor strip would be..

So would it be worth grabbing a new screen assembly? or is the actual motherboard damaged. Thanks

Thats the chance you take ...did the ebay seller tell you the screen was broken ? if not, return it to them and cut your losses now
The SPen on my Note 5 has not worked in a while. When I spoke to Samsung they said it was "moisture" damage. Confused as the water damage sticker does not show that the phone has been wet. Regardless, the *#0*# Spen test showed no response to the Spen on the screen. I decided to order a new stylus flex (stylus digitizer) for the phone. I received it today and plugged it in without taking the LCD off, just to see if it worked or not. I moved the Spen around near the flex digitizer but cannot see any response on the screen.
Does it have to be pressed up against the screen to show response? Or as it also not working and the fault is in the motherboard.
Any help is appreciated.

Just to make sure; have you tried another stylus or tried your stylus on a different device?

Yes I have. This stylus works on other notes but other styluses don't work on mine.
