I have unlocked my Z1s from T-Mobile's network so it should work on AT&T as they are both GSM and use most of the same bands. After unlocking it and verifying that my phone is indeed unlocked I put my AT&T SIM card in and the phone reset but it does not recognize the SIM card. Is this something AT&T needs to solve, or is there a way I can remedy this issue?

What method did you use to unlock?

I purchased an unlock code. I entered it and it shows it as being unlocked.
Seems like your phone/imei is blacklisted...query the national blacklist with your imei to get it confirmed
The phone was on T-Mobile's "blacklist", it has since been removed and says that it is ready to be used. The phone still does not read the AT&T SIM card. I am wondering now if the SIM card is locked, or if it is a hardware issue. Thoughts?

Is the phone sim unlocked? I don't know how it works with Sprint but that would be the case with GSM providers
If it's Sprint, it's CDMA.AT&T and T-Mobile are the only GSM providers in the US. However, it should work there if you get the SIM unlocked. The SIM unlock code is formulated based on the IMEI, so there are three ways to get it:
From Sprint. Probably the simplest, but tricky if you're not the phone's original owner.
Pay a site or unlocking service with the algorithm that decodes it from the IMEI. Usually runs around $10-$20.
Try the steps in this thread:

You can also try this app, but it only works on rooted phones running the original ROM:

Good luck.
How do i go about unlocking the Sim? I cant get the unlock box where I put in the code to come up!

Bro, A CDMA PHONE CANNOT BE UNLOCKED. IT WON'T EVEN WORK ON ANOTHER CDMA CARRIER LIKE VERIZON. ONLY SPRINT SIMs WILL WORK.
Make sure u buy a GSM phone if u plan 2 use it on another carrier.
But the phone uses GSM! It picks up the network here but I just cant get the unlock box

Then it simply isn't a Sprint handset. CDMA phones can only work on that particular network. The phone is custom-made just for that network
I have an xperia z c6606 by tmobile. Im trying to get it unlocked so my gf can use it from at&t or another gsm carrier. Is there a way for me to do this?
Ps: i tried putting the att sim card in, but then it asks for a sim pin which was never set up to begin with. So i guess it locks the sim because the phone is locked?

Request the service provider for the unlock key if you have completed the contract obligations
With T-Mo they should do a sim unlock after 45 days of service with them.
I recently bought a supposedly unlocked T-Mobile LG G6, but somehow my Verizon SIM card isn't working on it. The previous owner installed the T-Mobile unlock app and successfully unlocked it, so I'm really just not understanding what's going on. I tried to do a factory reset and restart the phone with my new SIM, tried to unlock it again (it says it's already permanently unlocked), etc. Help/advice would be much appreciated!!
is the VZW sim card already activated?
did you try using TMO sim card and see if its working with that?
try with LTE only mode with VZW.
Your tmobile branded G6 might not have all the CDMA bands to work with Verizon.
Verizon still uses CDMA.
If the phone is really unlocked, it will work on AT&T, Crickett, T-Mobile and most GSM networks.
VERY Odd Problem - SIM Card Locked, Requesting PIN. Only on This Phone & SIM Combo
On each boot, the phone asks for "SIM network unlock PIN", and otherwise will read "No SIM card" in the notification bar.
What's odd however is this phone is unlocked. It's an AT&T Nexus 6, and was previously working under Cricket Wireless. The SIM card is from Mint Mobile, and works with my unlocked LG G5. It's only this phone & SIM combination together that's causing issues.
Trying to access APN settings gives the message "Access Point Name settings are not available for this user".
I've tried factory resets, as well as full flashes back to stock, etc.
I've never encountered this before, if anyone has any ideas or input I'd appreciate it.
Sounds like it is NOT unlocked. Since Cricket Wireless is an MVNO directly owned by AT&T, it makes sense to me that an locked AT&T device may work on Cricket.
Test with a friends SIM card. The Nexus 6 works on all carriers in the United States- Sprint, Verizon, Tmobile or AT&T. If their SIM card does the same thing, yea this confirms that it's locked. Buy an unlock code, it should only be a few dollars I reckon.
edit: also please note there is a difference between an unlocked/locked bootloader and unlocked/locked network. They are NOT mutually exclusive.
I have a rooted Note 9 SM-960f/ds I was using on verizon and I went to switch to a Tmobile sim card and it's asking for a sim network unlock pin. I didn't set one up nor should it be locked to verizon.. to I need to unroot and do a factory reset for it work.

I had something similar with T-Mo iPhone when my phone was roaming on ATT due to poor T-Mo coverage. When I returned to T-Mo coverage (even rebooted phone) it still didn't work. I had to call T-Mo & they provided me with a SIM-specific unlock code. Such a bunch of crap to go through.
Good luck.

the f devices shouldnt be carrier locked, at least not for USA carriers. Are you sure its not talking about a sim card lock? if ti is, many sim cards pins are 0000, 1234 etc etc, but you only get 3 tries before it locks it down and you will probably have to get a new sim as that usually burns the sim (not literally burn, its just the term we use as salespersons of cellular service when a sim is no longer usable for a multitude of reasons)
ZeroXO fixed my phone I guess it was somehow network locked and it was a hex edit that was wrong. but he fixed it and all is good
