Upsetting practice in the development section. - Nexus 5 General

Anyone else frustrated that new ROMs are being posted without any screenshots or other information guide-lined by moderators?
For the sake of my phone and it's integrity, I have to read through the posts to make sure of it's compatibility sometimes and hope someone posts a screenshot for bug reporting or showing off just so I can see the theme of the ROM. This stuff was rampant in a lot of older phone sub-forums and I never knew what I was getting into. Most of the time, I was surprised by ugly skins and well-known bugs that weren't posted in the original post! infuriating!
... Moderators, please re-enforce your own guidelines/rules.
Before you post, please understand that I do know a lot of developers have followed most the guidelines accordingly, and I appreciate that just as much as everyone else here who likes organization and concise information.
However, I'd like to make an example out of the specific post for Purity Rom's thread.
Looks perfect, right? ... From what I hear and read, it's perfect. I can't wait to flash this ROM sometime this week when I get the time. One problem though... There's no picture showing it off. What I do know is that it's AOSP, which typically means it's a form of Stock Android.... But I didn't know that it contained a full KitKat Black/White theme instead of Google's Holo Blue leftovers.
I'm not upset with this, I welcome it with open arms! But there's no picture to show that off or information in the post disclosing this change! Why??
... Should I mention Team EOS? or SlimKat's outdated Jelly Bean presentation picture? There's no information to take in besides the functionality.
Side note: I'm not against ROM functionality over presentation. I'd just like to know what I'm jumping into before I flash a ROM.
Also: Thank you, Paranoid Android, for the beautiful and informative photos of your ROM. Truly appreciative presentation.

I agree with you. Also, to others, please don't post stuff like "just be grateful" or "they're already giving you free stuff so why complain". This is not about what the dev has done but it's about the xda-developers forum; there are rules and/or guidelines to follow.

While I do agree, as I've seen threads started where the OP is essentially just the standard disclaimer + some credits & download links, nothing more... I don't see the need to start a new thread about it. Mods do have their hands full at times on these forums and they still have lives outside the internet. They can't always be checking every single thread making sure every guideline is met. There's a report button for a reason. Instead of publicly calling out Purity, EOS & Slim, you could just have easily PM'ed either the thread maintainers, a moderator, or simply reported it using the report button. That's literally why it's there.

The upsetting practice is that some (if not the majority) don't include changelogs in the OP, instead you have to go through external websites and links, sometimes it becomes quite an adventure to be able to read up what's new.
Now, i can understand that practice for download links (even though that's against the rules too) , but you know, ads and stuff, paying the hosts etc.. but at least copy-paste the changelog to your OP on XDA.

Good point. The most important thing is the FAQ section. It's a must for every ROMd. A newbie tends to read the OP and then download the ROM. He doesn't have time to search the entired thread for bugs. And guess what happens after he reports the problem in the thread, everyone starts blaming him that this has been discussed n number of times already. Why don't you search before posting. If the FAQ section clearly describes the problems and solutions, then it would benefit not only to newbies, but to that particular thread too. No more of unnecessary discussion.

This is the single most ridiculous and simultaneously stupid, not to mention irrelevant complaint I've ever heard. This is a Nexus device, which means it has holo accents or they're holo white. But it remains KitKat, and screenshots of the exact same UI we're currently looking at is not only redundant but unnecessary. Unless the ROM is themed drastically (ie LiquidBlood) a simple "stock holo" or "holo white" in the description/features is sufficient. You're worse than a fat person suing McDonalds for making them fat. Seriously. Bugs? Search button.

I'm no stranger to the search button. There are some things that never get fixed and should be posted either in the original post or the FAQs page, and sometimes this never gets done, buddy.
If I don't voice my concerns or opinions, how do I expect to learn or grow with everyone else?
Why must you be, not only so oppressive, but insulting? I apologize if my original post offended or triggered you, but from little you know of me, you appear to take me for knowing close to nothing about how forums work.
You're better than this and I hope you realize how terribly you reacted.

They are merely "suggested guidelines". They are NOT something we ever have or ever will enforce. The devs can structure a thread however they please. Screenshots are usually pointless anyway, as ROMs all look basically the same, except for any custom theming.
I'm not sure what else you seem to think should be spoon fed to users, but as long as the basics are listed, I really don't see the issue. if you really need to know what it looks like, ask someone in the thread to post a screenshot for you. Or just download it and try it for yourself

One of these days the attitude and lack of people skills here will be xda's downfall.

Too right you are. I hadn't had my coffee yet and clearly didn't use my brain, and passed judgement far too quickly. I should have considered my response and been constructive instead of offensive.
You have my apologies, sir.

Its lovely when users put their ego aside and act humanly.
About the OP, I also enjoy seeing some screenshots about the customisations or themings devs implement on their ROMs. While I agree there are more important things like known bugs, reported bugs (so users don't have to browse 1000 pages) and whatever information is necessary, seeing is believing and a picture is worth a thousand words. So in my opinion, not a necessity but would be nice .
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

The thing is, 90% of people don't even read the OP and look ONLY for download links. Nor are they any sort of developer. Lol.

those are guidlines, NOT how your post is supposed to look. its a suggestion. if you are upset about not seeing a screenshot, flash the rom, take a screenshot, and post it.

IMO every thread must contain faq section with solutions to various rom bugs and screenshots. Most of the people will be benefited from that. In that way, the thread will be clean.

Do you follow the development threads? If you did, you would know that bugs get squashed all the time when they're being reported in the nightlies.. There's really no point in keeping on updating the OP of the development thread when a bug is found as it will most likely be squashed in the next nightly/weekly.
Coming to the screenshots part, each and every rom out here have the same look and feel. It's the features which differ which I think is included in most of the dev thread's OP afaik. Only if the developer has themed his rom differently, then Yes, a screenshot would do good. But if you want one, you can just ask in that thread particular thread. I'm sure people will be willing to share a SS with you if you ask them nicely!

Devs are required to post one thing only (besides the ROM): kernel source. Everything else is optional. I try my best to provide as much useful info as possible, but not everyone does. That is their choice.
If you see a dev posting download links to an external website with ads, report it. That is not allowed.
There is a very simple solution to your concerns OP:
If you don't like what the dev provides (whether it be the ROM or information about the ROM), don't flash the ROM, click the thanks button, or make a donation.

I'M putting the members down? WOW... I really enjoy helping people out and it just ticks me off when others blow them away by insulting/flaming them and putting useless posts thinking they know it all when they wont even answer the question straight up. Very few I bet and for those that contribute much to the knowledge that is xda I'm sure it gets frustrating.

So I'm ignorant? Awesome.
In every culture you have standard unspoken "rules." It just so happen that here its that you search before creating a useless thread. That's all I'm saying. I enjoy helping people too. What I don't enjoy is spoon feeding people the answers I know are out there because I've looked for them my self, or given the answer before. If you repeat yourself enough, you get tired. That's all.

I didn't say you were ignorant because you are a helpful member in different aspects of the community but there are some members that i see when going to different posts, always take the first post and start flaming the OP. Even OTHER members start realizing it. I hate spoon feeding people as well or fetching them stuff, i can understand that. However, it's not that hard to just give a few answers. I mean you're going to post, so might as well help them out someway, right...? It's not that hard to give a simple answer followed maybe by the wiki (ie go here and install this and then if you have more troubles, look here (wiki). That's all i'm saying. If people want to post, that's awesome. It's just not so cool when they post saying words like "search" or "read the wiki." If you're mad, no problem, just don't reply to it. If mods then feel it's appropriate to close the thread, then by all means, they will do so and perhaps guide them the right way.
if you like to help noobies so much......then feel free to start a "ask all noobie questions here" thread.
although it will still be a problem as i'm sure they wont see the thread, just like they missed the sticky, so maybe you can ask a mod to merge all new redundant threads to your "ask noobie questions" thread, then you can have all the fun answering their questions like you want, and there less redundant threads like what everybody wants..........so everybody gets what they want.....and so everybody is happy.
Well said kareem9nba, but the flaming isn't just here on XDA, it's on all the "HELP" forums. I am not a new user of HTC devices, having used a Hermes for over a year and have shared what little knowledge I have on that device with others on the Hermes forum, but I am new to the Kaiser. In comparison the Hermes is easy to upgrade, plug it into the PC and run the RRU. I had some problems understanding how to Hard SPLing my Kaiser and I asked a few questions read the wiki, and was successful. When I posted my success, FLAME ON. I posted that Jimmy Buffett wrote a song about the flamers, the thread was closed, and it should have been. Again sir, well said. I will lurk and read and learn, but, I really doubt I will never post another question or one of my fixes to someone else's problems.

It's not that i like to help noobs, I like to help everybody. The reason behind that is that when I ask a question, it always feel good to see some replies (non-negative ones). It's nice to spread knowledge so that everybody could help others out. Giving them information about something isn't knowledge just as Einstein said "Information is not knowledge "but a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification." Help give them the facts, and the leave the rest for them to pile up.
Now this is just classic.

@ the OP, consider this your free one. I know for a fact all the answers you are looking for are just a Search Button away.
Now, here's the funny part. Instead of answering the question, this thread turned in to a debate over who's helping who and who is not. Therefore, thread closed.

Camera software is pathetic on the tilt

is there a good camera software that just fixes all the issues with the stock camera on the tilt.
for example, I push camera mode, I can then zoom in and out simply with a remapped button.
also takes the picture when i hit the button, not 3 seconds later.
I have tried all the fixes, Nadavi, etc. NONE fix these issues, which I think are basically all that we want. a simple camera.
The camera has been talked about a LOT on these forums... you should probably search it, but most of the new roms have great camera software built in. I'm more than happy with my tilt's camera. It's a phone with a camera in it, not a camera with a phone in it. Low light pictures are going to suck no matter what, fact of life, get some decent lighting and get some decent pictures. My L26 V9 rom takes less than 1 second after pressing capture to take the pic.

Here is another useless post:
This is what I don't get, people spend hundreds of dollars buying a phone they know nothing about and did no research on ( camera is an extensively well documented problem).
They then join a developers forum, that they know no one on, and know nothing about, and start to whine like a child about a problem that has been talked about 1000 times on the forum ( if they had bothered to do any reading whatsoever ).
Then when a senior member tells them" it is what it is " and it has already been covered 1000 times and that it is against forum rules to start redundant threads, as their fourth post they fire back as above.
You obviously joined to add significant information to the cause and to make lots of new friends. I lurked on this forum for five months, learning and gathering before I ever felt the necessity to post.
Sorry, I just don't get it.

since when do geeks give a **** what people think about them?
And why not just post a url with the answer??? Because this in no way, shape or form encourages people to use the search to find the answer and instead complicates the forum for the people that follow the rules and DO use the search.
So let me get this straight.... You didn't get a reply for your question, which upset you. But when someone who asks something that has been covered (like your question has) and gets flamed for it, this ALSO upsets you? How exactly do YOU want us to reply to redundant threads? Jeez, for someone that has contributed absolutely nothing to the community you sure are picky and demanding.

How can you read six zillion posts, you obviously didn't start with the sticky/wiki at the top of the forum. Whole section on dumping roms and whole section on flashing carrier roms, (carrier spl) and cooked roms (Hardspl). The fact that your question was ignored, is a testament to the availability of the answer, not a lack of intelligence by the senior members.
I don't think that it is erroneous to say that 75% of all questions here are answered in the wiki, and another 15% can be answered with a basic search.
What I don't get part deux.
The useless post to complain that " there are too many useless posts to weed through to find an answer to my question."

I agree with you. I was on this site for a long time before I signed up and more time after before I posted my very first two questions (several days ago). I searched and searched and I must say it was very un-inviting to find multiple 8-16 page threads containing "Security Unlock". I wanted to know what it was and all I found was how to do it and the problems people were having... and some flaming... Anyway, one of my questions was answered and the other ignored. I read almost every post of the 16 page thread and finally found the answer in one single post (the search didn't put me on the right page for some reason).
I know there's a LOT of information on here, but it seems like some pruning needs to be done on posts such as this one commenting on rules and flaming... at least in the more informative threads...

ok, so lets do this then. Is there a cab file specifically addressing the camera issues. I don't want to have to flash a rom to the phone, I kinda like the way I have it set up now.
I really have no issues with picture quality, just the delay, and slow autofocus

Have you ever loaded KaiserTweak? One of the settings you can 'tweak' is the shutter delay which greatly improved the performance of my camera (it made the camera actually usable!)
The slow autofocus is still an issue for me but I just live with that as it only really has an effect when I am trying to take pictures of my niece and nephew who don't stop moving!

so about posting and searching on XDA...

As it turns out when I do a search for a topic the little search bar gives me EVERYTHING I dont need.. and NOTHING about what I do.. I understand that a lot of people just post new threads about the same crud but still, instead of just jumping down their throats take time to listen and tell them and, if you know, where to find the topic they are looking for .. perhaps with a link and a polite comment. Constantly saying "Did you use search?" is not helpful at all. AND answering their question with "This thread will be closed because another member already has a post like this" still doesn't answer the persons question. Imagine going to the airport and trying to find a flight, and when you ask a airport employee where the flight is they just say " someone already asked where that plane was and your question will be ignored thanks and next time use SEARCH" I am sure that would make you quite livid.. I am done ranting and I am sure the moderators will delete this before my head can turn away from the keyboard....
Sigh.... use this to search. I'm not even going to get into the rest...
Please post in the correct forum probably general i'm sure if you used the search you would have found a subject about search
*Sigh* Why do people find it so hard to use these forums properly?
as usual
lol of course someone would just want to tell me to use search. And the FAIL part is .. I DIDNT EVEN NEED ANYONES HELP just needed a few people to see this and agree with me.
just
close the thread already.. Im just frustrated with the lack of helpful community
and whats even funnier is that not ONE of you has asked me if I needed help. Just jumped on the bash train and ran my a** over

That's because this is a completely useless thread in a Development Forum. That's why we respond with disdain and contempt in our hearts.
actually its quite a helpful community but nobody is going to spoonfeed you. This thread should be closed it has little to no value, especially in the ROM thread.
LOL
My point to all this is, the people who use search are usually lost and instead of helping them you would rather just tell them what they already know. Which is why this thread was purposefully placed in the rom development section of XDA developers, so please, by all means, close this thread and be a human being for a change rather than a hate bot. All saying the same hateful and redundant thing....
This is a development community not a "Ooooo Get my phone unlocked for free" or a "make my phone neat and kewl" place. That is why the name is xda-developers. There is plenty of stuff already out there and the search button gives you plenty of info if all of the info at the wiki wasn't enough. It's just called looking a bit with the search button as in reading reading and more reading. Not doing so is just laziness. You don't just look at the first page of your search results. You go through them throughly.
....Where is Dave or kareem?

All well and good if this was the HTC funded 24 hour help line, but it is not, it is a developers forum.
Go to Execu-jet ( charter jet service ) and ask them when the next flight to Paris is . and they will tell you to go to the airport and ask the people whos job it is to help you .

again missing my point. Lost people need help right? and if SEARCH isn't giving the help then who the hell else can they turn to? You developers, hackers, and all around good folks... So stop being so darn cynical and hateful
I bid you good day sir...... I SAID GOOD DAY SIR....
While it's true this was not the proper forum for such a rant, I couldn't agree more with what the OP was saying. The resources on xda-dev are incredible and unparalleled but the attitude of many senior members and mods is arrogant and unhelpful. I try to use the search all the time, but when I find a thread that looks like it could contain the answer I seek, the f----ng thing is closed (without an answer) about a third of the time!
There's a simple solution to this BS, and most of us learned it in kindergarten. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Why waste your time with a "UTFS" (use the f----ng search) post when you could simply IGNORE it? If someone else WANTS to take the time to "spoon feed" the OP, WHAT'S THE HARM IN THAT? "Wasted space!" "Wasted bandwidth!" "Forum clutter!" - Well what do you think all those useless UTFS posts are?!
As for the heavy-handed mods closing threads at the drop of the hat, WHY WASTE YOUR TIME? If it's in the wrong forum (as this one is), MOVE IT. If you think it's redundant, post a link THEN close it - or just ignore it. Closed threads make no sense at all. If it's in violation of forum rules, DELETE it. Otherwise leave it alone and give it the CHANCE to be useful (at least to someone.)
I'll give a pefect example, right here in this particular forum. Try finding a good naked ROM for Kaiser. I mean truly naked - eOS FiRe is definitely NOT, but that's what gets recommended - just before such threads get closed by mods with the BS comment, "Plenty such ROMS out there. Thread closed." Really? Where? Good luck finding one via the search.
Your best search feature on this forum, is on the top bar.
Uses google feature to search XDA.

Ohh mickey, now you have showed him the magic keywords how to search for a naked ROM for Kaiser.
You know that now you have disclosed our trade secrets.
Punative actions will be taken for breeching the non-disclosure act
A search is only as good as the keywords you feed it.
eg. instead of "naked ROM" you could also use "vanilla ROM", or "clean ROM".
This thread is even more ridicules than my comments to Mickey my post, so I'll close it..

Let´s say for example you have been on the forum for 6 years and you spend big amount of daily hours on XDA, and everyday for more than 6 years you find the same questions, same "I got an idea" to improve the site!, same "what is the best ROM?, same vote for Android or WM or WP7?, and so on...
Heres the question: How would you deal with that avoiding what you mention on your 1st post?
I am really curious about your answer
Thanks,

True is that ppl don´t want to read and search, all they want is to get their stuff solved immediately, they don´t care about the work involved or any of that, they want it easy, and things are not always like that...

Here: I'm gonna take the flame-bait.
1. Read more than you type. 2 eyeballs, going left to right, and repeat.
2. Repeat no.1
3. I can't emphasis more, repeat no. 1, even after you've already done it.
4. Cleanliness might be next to Godliness, but Politeness is the Prince of Getting-people-to-respond-without-getting-flamed
5. Remember no. 4

Those are probably the best responses to that question I've heard in a long time
@DroidFreek:
The truth is, searching will get you an answer in the amount of time it takes you to ask the question ..let alone wait for an answer. And, IMHO, good searching does require some practice.. and from what I've heard practice makes perfect.
I consider myself a pretty helpful person but to be honest, I have no idea what I'm talking about half the time someone asks something, I simply copy and paste it into the search bar, and if needed, I'll modify the text a bit. But it really is that easy
I completely agree tho about some of the negative responses around the forum lately. As you can see in some of the replies in this thread, I don't understand why five people need to tell someone how idiotic they are for posting in the wrong sub-forum. I mean it seems like some members get sick to their stomach when spotting an out of place thread.
A guy walks in.........ok, he did not walk in, he was already there. One guy says, "I slept with my wife before we were married, did you?". The other guy says, "I don't know; what was her maiden name?".
People just want to be dicks, makes them feel better and somehow they think they gain the respect of the other trolls.
Thanks mates

People are glad to help others who are willing to help themselves. Show that you've done your best to find the information you need yourself, tell us what you have already learned and ask the more experienced members to fill in the blanks.
When somebody posts that they need this, or need that without showing that they've made any effort at all, they will largely be ignored. It's far more rewarding to solve an issue yourself using the information available than to be handed it on a plate.

Why am i not surprised that senior members disagree with my statement but i have come to see that they are pretty much one minded/sided kind of like the republicans. In order to get into the real perspective put your self in the opposite persons shoes and see how it feels when you ask someone a simple question but instead you get a parsimonious answer. You probably wont come to light and acknowledge that your wrong sometimes because you are always right.

For things that aren't asked too much, people should give an answer other than "google" or "search." But when there are things that fall into one of these categories,
1.If there is a topic that states "READ FIRST FOR INFO", you should probably read it.
2.If it is a common question that is asked a lot. Now you most likely wouldn't know that it is a common question, but the search button is there for a reason.
3.When you're making the topic, it shows you a list of topics that have been made already like your topic.
I'm not saying that people shouldn't help you, but some people expect people to help them instead of researching the issue. For phones like these, you need to do some type of research. And if it is a problem you cannot figure out, you should first use the search button, and if you don't find anything then post a topic.
Yeesh - you know how many multiple posts of OMG MY PHONE IS BRICKED!!!111!!!10101010011111 I find on the Q&A posts and find out if they had just read the other 9 bajillion posts they would've saved themselves a lot of hassle?
Sorry.. but the Search feature is a very much highly under utilized function on forums.
The funny part is when you see two the IDENTICAL posts right on top of each other and you wonder... "Is his phone somehow different then my phone - is it self-aware?"
its the cowards like that who have something very valuable for free in their reach , but demand it getting handed over to them , and then b**ching about getting told to do it urself , nothing is enuff for some of them
u know there are sites that need subscription to access roms ? and they are just copycats ? these lowballers make me sick , being all sassy about something they get for free

I don't think that would be a good idea. Just because it is very dangerous to flash the bootloader and changing the MID is not that easy. It should not be 100% noob friendly. The commands are not that hard.

ive read your other thread, aren't you changing the cid and identifiers threw adb command line? what can go wrong with automating the process? also I have read some of the comments that other devs reply with which is no help. so why not solve it with a one click tool?
my opinion i guess. and yes stuff can go wrong that's why its worked out .
Rule:
15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
General Forums - For news and announcements relating to your device.
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum(THIS is where your thread should have gone)
Accessories subforum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the phone model
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title) - For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs and Kernels including modifications to Kernels, Bootloaders, ROMs, etc. (I don't think your thread falls into this)
Themes and Apps Forums - For themers to post Themes and App. announcements & discussions including modifications made to Apps and Themes.

because, and I won't answer this again,
This process should only be undertaken by those who know what they are doing.
Personally I like to type in my commands so I can see whats going on (makes me feel like a sir) instead of just clicking a button and hoping that nothing goes wrong.

I emphasized the part where you messed up. Just in case you missed it.
I dont know when XDA became such a brutal place towards noobs, it was the wrong section. GET THE HELL OVER IT AND KEEP IT ON TOPIC!
In response to your question however, changing MID and CID are a bit device specific, and require editing of some files. Basically it would be too hard to do and potentially risky , so it'll have to be a command line job for you. Its not a massively hard process, but be careful, changing your MID and CID can cause issues, and break the possibility of using an RUU if they do not match!

The One is a very popular phone. It has brought many new people to xda. This includes a lot of people who don't understand that the spirit of xda is helping those who help themselves.
Having to answer the same questions over and over again will make almost anyone cranky, especially when these people resist being educated in how xda works.

XDA was never a welcoming place for "noobs" and never will be. The information that the OP wants exists. He wants a quick and easy solution, something we don't believe in at XDA.
Check your attitude. If you aren't a developer on XDA, you are merely tolerated here. Don't make any mistake about it, this is a developer's forum, not an end-user's forum.
The sooner you realize that, the less offended you'll get.

I appreciate that, but it doesn't take 10 people to scream at someone every time they do something wrong, politeness doesn't cost anything, the question asked was a valid question, just placed in the wrong question. 10 people replying wrong section and not even making an effort to answer the question is my issue, the OP made a mistake, get over it and stop hounding people, I've been on XDA a few years and there's definitely a shift towards it being a lot less friendly place to be. I appreciate it gets annoying for people, especially developers, but the attitude of some members is just wrong

Perhaps you don't understand.
No one cares about the OP's question because both the question and the wrong forum placement send a message that goes against the XDA spirit. By answering his question, you are pandering to that attitude and you have become part of the problem.
The only people who need to get over it are the OP and (no offense) you.
I've been on XDA for quite a lot longer than you and I assure you it was always this way. The attitude of the developers is the same. However, the attitude of the new influx of users is incredibly different (clarification: self-entitled do-it-for-me douchebags).
I was on this place back when Windows Mobile 6 was the hot OS and the mods and community were just downright incredible. Nowadays, you have "developers" with build prop editing skills looking for donations and naive self-entitled users who will just eat up the ROMs as though they are amazing and wonderful and then we have all in one tools that take the process of root and unlocking away from a user, and all of this gives end users the idea that all it takes to get what they want is to ask or demand.
The day I sit here and allow XDA to be taken over by people like that is the day that pigs will fly. Maybe I'm being blunt, but it is what it is and if my posts bother you, you know where the ignore command is

Im not looking to start an argument, I respect that this forum was built around people like yourself, developers, to communicate their ideas and come up with new ideas, and for you more than others, constant requests get annoying and simply you'd rather be left alone to get on with more important things. THAT I understand. My problem is not with you or other developers because you are the heart of the forum. Just I think the attitude of some members is very anti noobs.
I guess the ideal solution is post moderation for all non developers, stops annoying threads, and also stops the hate. I dont see the issue with things being made simpler, I use one click methods not because I dont like command line or dont understand it, but for simplicity, maybe I'm just lazy but why do something in 20 minutes that you can do in 5?
