So for the past few days when I use Pandora or stream podcasts my phone I'll reboot randomly if the signal gets low or if I go from a WiFi area to 4g.
I've cleared cache and fixed permisions and it didn't help.
I haven't installed anything new to cause an issue.
Any suggestions???

so i listen to music on my N1 on the train on the way to work.
when i go into the tunnels and lose reception the phone hangs and reboots- but not a full reboot with the nexus X and then boot animation, jst plays the boot animation and then asks for SIM PIN.
if i DONT have the music playing- the phone loses reception and continues to work then picks up signal again fine..
if i DONT have the music playing then lose reception THEN play music while no signal, the phone is fine.
any ideas/suggestions?
I received the internet connection sharing / HTC update a few weeks ago; internet sharing worked great but the battery life was seriously hit. I couldn't find any other bugs though.
Last week I received notification of the Microsoft 7740 update in Zune; it didn't mention specifics of what was being updated and didn't mention any HTC driver updates anywhere. I applied the update and immediately my battery life went back to "normal" HD7 performance (usually the entire day).
However, since this 7740 update I've not been able to get ANY audio-streaming apps to work either on the 3G conneciton or through Wifi. Apps such as 8tracks, Mixtapes, TuneIn radio etc will load as usual, but when I press play they will show only "connecting" constantly; audio will never play, no matter what channel I try or how many times I skip tracks.
Anybody else experiencing this? I've tried streaming music before / after turning on / off Internet Connection Sharing (in case that's triggering it) but it makes no difference. It's a real bummer since I used TuneIn radio a lot.

I've just noticed that Spotify has stopped working on my 7740 HD7. Can't get it to work with wi-fi or 3G.
Alright things are getting a bit weird.
After a bit of testing I've found that when I restart both my HD7 and my Wifi router at the same time, everything works perfectly as normal; streaming audio, internet, etc etc. When I disconnect from WiFi and go on 3G data, streaming is still working.
However, the trigger for problems seems to be internet connection sharing. Once I'm finished using ICS and I have it turned off, and I reboot my phone (or power cycle), I run into connection problems. The Wifi connection remains solid on reboot, but web pages rarely load and email and other live services grind to a halt. When I turn off Wifi, my 3G data works fine. Streaming services are borked completely at this stage though. To get things working again I have to reset my Wifi router.
My theory is that the bug where ICS resets the phones MAC address on the next reboot is confusing my Wifi router, and only a router reboot will fix the problem. This is a total pain in the hole and HTC need to immediately fix their drivers so that my HD7 has a constant MAC address.
People should understand battery life
Is going to suffer for everyone wo owns a cell phone
We love to play with them
All you do is buy a second battery for $6 on eBay
Then your set

This would be sound advice if it had anything to do with our thread.
Any theories on Wifi / data connection issues and streaming audio?
Hi
A few days ago I started experiencing a strange issue that I just can't resolve.
Certain apps and accounts, i.e. Facebook, email, playstore, Google, Flip board etc. simply will not load/refresh/sync over mobile network. However, I can still browse the Internet using various apps (chrome, stock browser). With Spotify, I can stream music but am unable to download. There is no issue with the data connection as I am getting 'H' or '3g' and showing decent stats on Speed test. I have no issues at all over Wifi - everything works perfectly.
It's as if something is preventing apps from syncing/refreshing over the network but not affecting Internet access.
I have an unbranded device with a sim only Talk Talk deal.
Kitkat 4.2.2

I'm going to do a hard reset next but wondered if there was another solution.
Any ideas?

At work we had a phone that did not want to sync email on 3G. (Perhals other apps, we did not check.)
It turned out his phone was roaming on 3G, and the email client was set not to push mail when roaming.
I think the guy had bad signal on its own network on this location and so the phone was roaming.
He could still use his browser and many other apps without any problems.
Maybe it has nothing to do with your problem but I thought I should post it.
Because it sure has many things in common, also in this example on WIFI everything would work fine.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Thanks for that, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a roaming issue.
I've just factory reset the device, completely wiped everything. Tries to log into Facebook and the same thing happened. Switches to WiFi and it worked straight away.
I tried forcing the mobile data to only use WCDMA. This actually seemed to resolve the problem temporarily and I was able to update Facebook however it soon reverted to how it was and I was unable to sync email, update Facebook or download on Spotify unless over WiFi.
I'm wondering if it's the Sim card or possibly a problem with the phone but I'm struggling to understand (albeit with limited knowledge) how this strange behaviour could be hardware related...
I don't have a password on my WiFi and my Moto X will connect to my WiFi and was working fine yesterday, but today will not load web pages or application data (ie product listings on Amazon, Google Play store apps, etc). I tried forgetting resetting my router and forgetting my WiFi on the phone, but neither helped. I also tried to clear my phone cache via recovery, but when I selected recovery, it booted up seemingly normal with no cell signal and Commserver started. A reboot fixed the Commserver/Cell issue but I still can't get WiFi working right.
I have a desktop, 2 laptops, a Nexus tablet, and an HTC phone in the house, all of which are connected and have no issues accessing the internet.
EDIT: It was an early Omen! Everything else stopped connecting to internet within about 2 hours until the internet died all together. I had to call my ISP to get it fixed and running again. The Moto X must just be that good at predicting my internet going down, lol. Still concerned about the recovery booting to CommServer though...
Hi all,
I did a wipe on my Moto G6 Play (Boost) just for the sake of cleaning up and starting over.
Ever since, Ive had intermittent issues with my wifi quality.
A 1.25mb update can take up to 5 minutes, then suddenly 25mb new app download takes no more than two seconds. Normally it is the former. Wifi analyzers says no Wifi in range, while also showing full strength in OS.
Im using a Ubiquiti AC-LR at home and Aruba 225 at work; same issues on both.
UniFi controller shows no issues with wifi strength or quality.
Also, no other devices are having any issue.
Along with the above, the timing (after a wipe), I believe it to be on the phone side.
I have wiped, cleared cache, etc multiple times. Reset wireless settings. No avail.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
