Hi all,
I just bought a second hand htc one that is running android 4.2.2 i tried to update to android 4.3 and it doesn't find it.
This is very strange cause this update has been out for a while in my country (Belgium).
I was wondering if i could force it in to updating.
My htc one is the sense version not the google edition.
Thanks.

You can either install a custom rom or try installing the android 4.3 manually.
Hi,
I just bought HTC ONE Dual Sim. I didn't know that you cannot update the software prior to buying it.
I stuck with it. Is there a way to update the phone. I just an ordinary girl. I don't really understand the technical part.
Is there a video how to do it? Is there hope on updating my phone to 4.2.2?
Thanks
Olive

Your phone will get updated OTA to 4.2.2 . Just check for updates ( or wait for awhile. You will get a notification about a system update)
There no software update menu in the phone. So I cannot check it. What do you mean by OTA updates? Will it automatically pop up in the future that there is an update?
HTC One DUAL SIM Lollipop
Hi,
Any information on the official release of Android 5 for HTC One DUAL SIM 802d ?
Which is the best (stable, good battery, performance and everything working) custom ROM (Android 5.0 or above) available for this device ?
Hello Im a newbie,
I just purchased a htc one 802d dual sim from hongkong. The phone has already chinese apps removed from the looks of it and has titanium app installed on it. I am currently having a problem with the weather application and blinkfeed.
Here is the phone information
Andriod 4.4.2
HTC Sense 5.5
Rom version- 4.21.1401.3
software number- soul-24.0
HTC SDK API level- 5.69
PRI-3.23_001
Kernel version- 3.4.10-g53a0817 [email protected]
baseband version 1.00.30.0422-1237.18.19.0528
build nymber - 4.21.1401.3 cl309439
the weather application say unable to detect location and the blinkfeed seems to be in chinese. is there anyway i can install other apps so they show up in blinkfeed and fix the location problem.
Other then that its a great phone.
Many thanks

I have been looking around online havnt had much luck
i mostly lurk and it has been some time since i posted anything here. i'm not a developer just a heavily dependent user. i have an AT&T HTC One M7 that is over a year old now and am not getting the 4.4.4 update (stuck on 4.3 with software #3.17.502.3) and thinking of doing something different with my device. i dont use the blink feed that comes on the phone (after market launcher called everything me) and other apps for calendar and calling. what is the advice of the group, should i flash a different rom or just stay with what i have? if y'all think i should change, what is a good rom to change to? any and all advice is appreciated.

Sorry, we can not recommend ROMs and the decision to flash or not is a personal one. If you want to update your phone you can find RUU's at AndroidRUU or HTC 1 Guru they are the Cellular ones. Pick the one with the same or higher version number. Or you could visit this thread and get a more updated version.
Just a FYI: to get updates you must have a stock rom, stock recovery, if s-on bootloader must be locked and what ever apps that are being updated must be present on your phone.
Hi
NFC was not working after updating to lollipop -> It is allways crashing when reading a card.
I had to downgrade Android to 4.4.3 For having it working.
I would like to know if an lollipop ROM works with NFC correctly ?
My system :
HTC One M7
Android : 4.4.3
HTC Sence : 6.0
Version software 4.0.4
Nivel API de HTC SDK 6.25
(insert COin)
Did you uprade the Firmware to the latest version? Im talking about the Firmware not the Rom.
and did you a fullwipe in recovery before flashing Rom?
I dont have any issues with NFC.
Wich Firmware ? I'm not sure to understand you.
I had an official instalation of android until beeing automaticly updated to Lolilpop. From there, NFC is craching. So I looked how to downgrade and find a ROM "insertcoin-m7_4.0.4" that I had instaled.
Now it's working, but I would enjoy having a newer version for my HTC that works very well.
Coulod I instal any ROM I want with a correct firmware that works with NFC or is it coming with ROM ?
(Sorry for my little or absent knowledge, we are all newbies at the begining )
I red that in "github" :
I am thankful for your efforts ikarus. The day I upgraded to lollipop I contacted HTC as well and they told me they couldn't be sure if the error is caused by the firmware or the apps, even when I told them I had tried around 6 different apps from the store. I'm talking about one month ago. They said an official HTC app must be used to determine whether the NFC feature works or not but, ironically, there is not such official app. At the end they recommended to wait until the developers troubleshooted this but I think that at this point this very clear it is their firmware's fault.
I think you all would agree this is frustrating. One waits for an OS upgrade for months and when it comes things stop working. To make it even worse, the vendor announces there won't be more updates for M7 and you end up regretting to upgrade your phone. I even asked HTC fora way to revert to kit at, but they said it is not possible.
So, while they fix this, that will take months if they finally do it, do any of you know how to revert M7 to 4.4? Lollipop is rubbish anyway, for its battery consumption and it's there is no way to stop notifications vibration. I know this is a bit off topic, but I am desesperated here and could not find help in forums.
