Calling app not displaying correctly

When I'm trying to call/receive a call, the screen is really messed up. Nothing appears, I get the start menu at the top which says "Phone" on it, the soft key labels at the bottom, and then the part of the screen where the dialer/call status/all that stuff is supposed to be just shows up white. I think it may have started when I tried to answer a call while my phone was locked, or maybe after I changed around the call settings with KaiserTweak so it wouldn't sleep/fast sleep during calls. I reverted those settings to the default, restarted my phone, and still no luck.
I don't really have anything that valuable on there so I'm not opposed to just re-flashing my ROM, but does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks in advance.

SIM PIN on Startup

I'm used to enter my SIM PIN before the Today screen is displayed. So the X1 connects to the mobile network before you start working with the phone.
But now the X1 starts WM and i have to click manually on the phone settings to enter the PIN. SIM Pin is turned on.
Is there any way to get a "auto SIM PIN screen" on startup?
Actually i forgot to note that i get a PIN Screen on Startup. But just for a few seconds and you cannot type in any number. It then fades and the today screen is displayed. I think there's something going wrong. mh.
Thanks for your advise!
I was wondering the exact same thing. The thing displays for a second then goes into loading today screen leaving you manually starting the SIM PIN screen.
This is a sideeffect of xperiaTweak, it's been discussed here already. A simple search could have given you the answer.
There is no fix for this right now but it should not matter -either you can simply press the green phone-button, then you can type in your PIN, or you just deactivate the PIN-code.
its not xperia tweak,, because the moment i got this phone, i am grumbling about this already... i think its PANELS
I have the same problem exept i used to be able to enter my pincode but now i only get the first 2 numbers then it just "logs on" by itself... i don't think its TweakXperia either coz it worked before and i hade it than to...and when i check the conn manager it says the phone is on, not i flight mode or anything else... so weird!

Could be too. This behavior started the moment I installed XperiaTweak so I thought this program is the one to blame.
Maybe it's just to wait for the firmware update. And after all, how often do you softreset your phone? I installed all the programs I need and now it's weeks before I restart the device.
Actually I've installed xperia tweak, but I did not use it. Changed some chache sizes with advanced config.
I think it happened the first time after i allowed Sprite Backup to automatically enter the SIM PIN. But turned that feature off and the programm is not on auto start ... as far as I know.
Ah and I searched the forums and found nothing about sim und pin .
I "soft reset" my phone on most evenings by pressing the On key and selecting to turn the device off. There's no need for the phone to be on standby when I'm sleeping.
I think I'll do a hard reset and take a look when my SIM PIN Menue is disappearing.
I simply removed simlock. I rarely turn the phone off, so there is little chance it would work.
Well there's the difference!
I turn it off more often. Btw, Soft Resets once a day are recommended by SE on their X1 site. To "clean up memory" . hehe
And its quite nasty to go to the PIN menu manually all the time.
I usually just press the call button and the phone brings up the PIN menu. This is quite an easy way I think...you don't have to navigate too much this way.

Tell that to my Nokia 1208 I still have somewhere. 7 weeks of battery lifetime and no "memory cleaning"
On topic: WHen the PIN code screen shows up, just type it in and press ok without waiting for a response. On my X1 it usually works, the screen hangs but the PIN gets entered.
Pressing the call button is faster, but still manually.
I did a hard reset on my device and payed some attention to the SIM PIN screen.
After the reset, with no external programms installed (original stock rom) the PIN screen appeared every time, soft reset and complete shut down.
But after I installed the first programms (in this case advanced config and advanced task manager) the SIM PIN screen started to fade away. Surprisingly it seems to be random now. Sometimes the screen fades and the today screen is shown, and on the other side the pin screen stays up until I entered the SIM PIN.
As for today:
Turned mobile phone off over the night.
First start today: SIM PIN screen stayed up.
Soft reset: SIM PIN screen stayed up to.
Yesterday the SIM PIN screen faded away for every Soft reset i made. I've installed a bunch of programms (My_flash, Youtube App, Skyfire, ...).
Until now I have NOT installed Xperia Tweaks! I'll see if the randomness fades with that installed.
Perhaps this occurs, when a programm running in the background causes the (phone) PIN screen to minimize. Sometime it went away when F-Secure wants to update definitions.
No XperiaTweak installed yet and still no SIM PIN screen fade away pattern .
Maybe XperiaTweak also runs in the background on startup, panel switcher or what ever. You could take a look at this .
i noticed that if i start entering the code immediatly after it appears , it is enough time to enter it(6 char) and press enter.Anyway i don't mind pressing the green key once in order to enter PIN
Bump out of curiosity. Is there a solution for this?

Kaiser screwed up, don't care about everything, just want my PIM file, help?

Hi,
so it seems that after installing a program on the main memory, my Kaiser does not want to start. I assume it's due to not having any memory there and everything getting screwed. To be honest I don't care about the hours of customization I put into this baby, themes, etc. The only thing I care about is my PIM file, that doesn't have a recent backup.
I heard that taking out the battery and connecting the phone per USB to a computer, pressing power and photo button at the same time will get you to the three color screen that says USB at the bottom.
Is there any way I can access my Kaiser's files over USB now, and somehow get my PIM file?
Thanks,
J
We need more info. When you say it will not start, is there any sign of life ?
Unfortunately most all recovery steps involve a hard reset which will erase all data.
Getting into bootloader allows you to reflash the rom but not access the data I'm pretty sure.
Thanks for the reply.
When I press the turn-on button, it vibrates, shows the T-mobile image, then the red letters appear in the lower right corner. Then the green windows mobile booting screen comes up, and either stays that way for hours, or suddenly a black text on grey background appear saying that "the device cannot boot, probably because i installed some software, please press SEND to reset the phone and any other key to cancel".
is that enough information? thanks
Yes that is the information we need. It appears that the boot sequence has been corrupted and needs to be restored through a hard reset or a reflash of the rom.
Both of these things will erase your pim file.
I know it is too late now, but I use PIM Backup and it automatically backs up my device a 2 AM every morning to my SD card. I never have lost anything.

[Q] G1 Broken - No Menu - Sorry! Process.com.android.phone is not responding.

Hi,
I searched for threads on this problem and found similar ones but not exactly as my problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=871124
I tried getting the Angry Birds app and my phone had a message saying I didn't have enough space. I then started getting the message "Sorry! Process.com.android.phone is not responding. Force Close." I uninstalled some apps, including the app I just downloaded. Rebooted the phone and now I cannot see a menu.
I see a black screen with that message popping up constantly. I can connect my SD card to the computer. I can go into the debug mode. My WiFi is still on with my simcard still working. Still no menu, just a black screen.
I know my phone is rooted. Forgot which firmware. I found a file with update-cm-5.0.8-DS.
I don't want to lose any contacts on this phone. Is there a way I can get them before doing a hard or factory reset? Also, how do I do these resets?
Thanks in advance.
Try booting up in safe mode by holding the menu button while powering up.
If your phone is registered with your google account, your contacts should automatically get saved on that.

[Q] My htc touch diamond doesn't work

PLEASE HELP
My "phone keypad" started not working (when I touched the letter it was inserting the number) so I decided to install an other similar keypad. I found that EzInput has the same look as phone keypad so I downloaded it. When I installed it the program asked me to reset my device so I clicked OK. Then my device restarted and I saw this text:
The device is unable to boot because either you have turned off the device incorrectly or tried to install an application from untrusted source, Press SEND to reset your device or press any other button to cancel, This operation will delete all your personal data and restore the device to its factory default settings.
Then I didn't know what to do and I pressed all the keys and then my phone turned off. When I turned it on it freezed on the "TOUCH diamond" logo and the red numbers bellow. Then I tried hard reset and I saw like four different colours lines (as I remember they were white, blue, green and red colour) and text. I didn't know what to do so I was touching the screen and the buttons hoping something to happen. And then it turned off.
Now when I turn it on it still freezes on diamond logo and if I try to hard reset I can't see any colorful lines. I guess that application deleted all the data of my phone. WHAT TO DO?
Sorry if I made any grammar mistakes.
Thanks
install new rom
just flash a new rom..........do task 29 (mtty) and install the rom you like. should be ok then.
