Ok the galaxy s4 active SGH-I537 are all the bootloaders locked or not as i have read some post here and else where that say some are and others are not when I go into Odin Mode i get
Odin Mode
Product Name: SGH-I537
Current Binary: Samsung Offical
System Status: Offical
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warrenty Void: 0x0
CSD-Config-Lsb:0x30
Write Protection: Enable
eMC Burst Mode enabled
Now judging by reading this i am assuming that it is locked just looking for confirmation. The Reason I ask is i am wanting to dual boot the Phone with this http://www.efytimes.com/e1/fullnews.asp?edid=125119. For ubuntu touch although it says i need to have an unlocked phone and rooted which mine is rooted however they do not specifiy whether or not the mean sim unlocked or bootloader unlocked and i am going to take a shot in the dark and say they are meaning bootloader unlocked. if so would there be a possability to load the dual boot under safestrap ?

The i537 has a locked bootloader, the i9295 does not. You cannot flash ROMs on the i537 like you can on the i9295.

My phone autoupdated from 4.2.2 to 4.3 while it was rooted with activeroot. Now whenever I turn on my phone, I get the custom lock symbol whenever I reboot and my system status says "custom". However, when I boot into download mode, my knox warranty is still at 0x0. I need to send my phone in for warranty because I just received my replacement.
It says:
Odin Mode

Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30

If you sent it back to Samsung the way it is now they would know it's been rooted therefore they would consider your warranty void. You can un-root it by reinstalling the stock firmware and using triangle away, which will cost you like $3.

I am trying to reinstall the stock firmware, but since I have 4.3 on it, it won't let me go back to 4.2.2

Ah, I have already looked at that solution. Unfortunately the bootloader is locked on the official 4.3 ML2, so I cannot flash it back.
Hey there,
Im interested in doing my first root but im terrified of bricking my phone.
I've come across the method using odin and the auto root file from
autoroot.chainfire.eu
However, I still have a couple of questions I have not found an answer to due to there being a lack of tutorials featuring my phone model.
My first question is does my model have a locked boot loader? Which is going to cause my phone to become bricked if I dont somehow disable it? Much like the Verizon(?) Models.
If so how do I disabled it for my device?
Also when it comes to the autoroot file, do I need to look for anything other then model number? (Galaxy S3 I-9305T) S/N, chipset, etc.
I wish towelroot worked for my phone, sigh
Device details:
Galaxy S3 I-9305T
Android 4.3
Australia
Carrier is Telstra
Thank you in advance

"If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device "
So there is no locked boot loader to the best of your knowledge?
Also, thank you

If you are on Android 4.3 then you will have the "new" knox bootloader. Read up about it.... I deliberately stayed on 4.1 on two separate i9305s so as not to enounter Knox issue so I can't help you. Google is your friend, e.g. search: xda root i9305 knox

I don't have the s3, but most phones come with locked bootloaders, so you'll probably need to unlock it.
Also, I doubt you need to look at s/n or chipset, I didn't need to for my HTC or Motorola phone.
Not quite relevant, but Telstra is a rip off (unless you need amazing coverage ).
Hi,darthkoax,
Rooting Android phone involves installing a code inside your device so you can access the system with all permissions. The procedure Rooting Android does not change the version of your operating or delete data or applications system is a safe procedure and can be reversed easily.Another thing is the bootloader, issue that currently do not have to worry, but you have to know that depending on the way of rooting your phone can change the status of Knox counter. In other words: the counter Knox change the status of your warranty and depending on the country where you live can lose the guarantee. To reset the counter Knox is necessary to unlock the Knox bootloader/vers.4.3;4.4.4/-something that so far the developers have not gotten to our terminal.
Here is a good tool for root your handset:http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...msung-galaxy-s3-unified-toolkit-v8-0-t1979290
Naturally you can use CF Autoroot,KingoROOT,and so on..you choose.
Always read several times before flashing!
Good luck

Just like the title says
Do you guys think the ATT S6 Edge variant would be root able? I'm trying to decide if I should just over to T-Mobile and have less coverage for a more friendly rom experience or stick with ATT and pray to the gods for root /unlocked bootloader.
Have to wait and see if the guys that got their phones today have locked bootloaders. Ive been waiting for someone to confirm this all day
My phone arrives Wednesday, and even if it has a locked bootloader, it can still be rooted (see below, S5 is locked and rooted), but I'm still curious about being able to root this thing.... Has the AT&T Note Edge been rooted? Haven't found anything saying it has yet, so that puts added pressure on finding out about this phone, theoretically
I have my Edge... The recovery log says it is bootloader G925AUCU1AOCE. Isn't that the same as the G4?
Any one been able to validate this yet?

The reactivation lock is set by US when we setup phone. You can turn that off.
Hi all,
I am currently OTA updated to 5.1.1 OJ3 and as I understand there is not a way to unlock the boot loader without affecting the warranty counter.
This begs a question. Say I am out of warranty and DONT CARE if my counter shows a modified boot loader. Is there a way to flash an unlocked boot loader and root the device?
Fill me in.
Previously I used to root all my phones but I missed the opportunity on this one back at 4.4

No way to unlock bootloader, currently no way to root 5.1.1
i would have though that since verizon has allowed unlocking of the BL on their S5's i figured at&t would have followed suit.

Hey guys,
so I tried to root my S10+ which did not work out. I never got past unlocking my bootloader. Now I flashed an original Samsung Stock Firmware and I relocked the bootlader. But now when I tried to use Samsung Pass for instance it told me, that I couldn't use it since my device was rooted, which it wasn't and isn't.
Do you guys know a way around this or am I doomed?
Regards

You need to check knox in download mode. Anything other than 0x0 will break Samsung pay, secure folder, and Samsung pass. Nothing you can do if you tripped knox.
After doing OEM unlock in developer options, did you confirm in the menu right before entering download mode?
