This is actualy for new users on KitKat, I know old users knpw this
To expand battery life you need to do next:
1. Disable location - I think the most pf users dont use this, but drains battery
2. Disable gmail synching or all synching (I prefer only gmail)
3. Disable broadcast (Go to settings and tap on more, now you can see Cell broadcast)
4. You dont need overclock, device work pretty well with 320-1008mHz, smarassH3 or smartassV2 and SIO
5. Enable 16bit transparency - when this is enable you don't force your CPU to render on 32bit transparency
6. If you have google search application disable it if you dont need it, because it always use location
7. If you have skype, froze this app when you don't need it because process always work.
8. When you use data connection you use 3G after every "sesion" switch to 2G. No 2G/3G, only 2G. Signal is much better, and use lesser battery.
9. Set brightness on 30-40%
10. Go to wifi and disable SCANNING ALWAYS AVAIBLE - when this is enabled, wifi always scanning for new networks, even its off.
11. Use greenify app to hibernate apps save a lot of battery
12. If you use P700 disable NFC
After all of this you will have good battery life
You also can download wakelock detector from playstore, and see what wake your device up,and what use battery
Thanks! :good: I trying
Battery
That helped me a lot improving my battery life. But cell standby is just so unstable. Sometimes its battery usage is around %15-20 and sometimes its around %35-45.Is it normal for cell standby to be so unstable like this ? I mostly use 2G and sometimes 3G if I need to use mobile data. (I use [KITKAT 4.4.4][KTU84P]UNOFFICIAL CM11 by IMER)

Okay... the past day or so, my GPS icon in my status bar has been constantly flashing (unless I turn off GPS).
Anyone idea of what causes this?
Icon in question:

You have navigation running.
No... I don't

Yeah, you do. At least when you took that shot. Pull down the notification bar and click then kill the arrow. You have to exit navigation and not just hit the home button.
Man I bet you are getting horrendous battery life right now.

OMG... Really? That's the phone from all the N1 advertisements, I am just using it to the the icon I am talking about. ROFL
we need to know what apps you have running, i've had that issue before with Beautiful Widgets when i had wifi based location turned off and i was in a basement so the GPS couldn't lock on a signal
Lol awesome. My bad!
I have noticed that happening a few times and it has always been a stuck program. Obviously you can narrow it down to an app that uses GPS and go through each one and start them and then finish them to srr of that helps. Or just turn off GPS and turn it back on.
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
Do you have Beautiful Widgets? I know that it sometimes goes goofy and keeps the GPS on. Not with the latest release tho.
Yeah... I do have Beautiful Widgets, maybe that's my problem. Will check it out.

Forgive me for piggybacking on this discussion, but I have a related question. Is it possible for apps to be using GPS (and thus sucking battery) WITHOUT the icon's appearing in the notification bar?

if GPS is turned off then it will try to determine your location using your data signal.

no its not possible. if any app uses the gps, that icon will appear. it is also possible that the phone will jsut pull your location based on cell tower approximation, which would not use gps, and hence not use as much battery anyway...

I understand it wastes battery, but my problem isn't related to that because it's ON since day one and i only experienced this drain 2 days ago..
Just reseted the phone and installed apps again it fixes the problem!
Your top three wakelocks are all WiFi related - svnet, wlan_rx_wake and wlan_wake.
Your fourth is sec-battery-monitor - some kind of battery monitor/saver app?
There were lots of cases of people reporting battery app savers/monitors/whatever actually causing notable battery drains, particularly if users don't set their sync policy right.
Let me give you an example: let's say you use some battery saver, and set it to disconnect WiFi when screen locks. Let's also say that you have some app configured to sync at all times. The app tries to connect, but can't, because the battery saver won't allow WiFi connection to be established, so the app tries to sync again and again and again....
And your phone can't get to deep sleep, hence the high battery drain.
Hope this helps.
Dial *#9900# then disable "fast dormancy" and press close.
Monitor your drain over a day and see if its better...

with titanium backup, you can download it from play store.
setting>developer options>background process limit> at most 2 processes
not seem to affect performance but increases battery life
someone else can check?

This would be true if that post's OP had kept tabs of the various solutions found in the first post(s). The way it is, if you want to learn new methods, you have to read the entire thing and hope you don't miss something. To be exact, the only thing we need is someone who volunteers to gather the useful suggestions in there.
Although I still think it helps to have a specific thread for info gathering about battery solutions, as it would (hopefully) limit suggestions like "freeze/uninstall some stock apps", that add nothing to who's trying to follow the suggestions.
Removing com.lge.internal will **** up everything...

I found this earlier, could be helpful. supposedly that may be a collection of different wakelocks from what I found. Check out the links and I would recommend running your phone is safe mode for a few hours to test and also running normally and freezing some apps. Hope that helps.

This is not the case. What you posted is for the regular powermanagerservice.wakelock, not the one with "display" in the title.

I thought the PowerManagerService.Display had to do with your display on-time. From what I understand you can at least assume that your display is supposed to consume a lot of your battery power. In that case.. Some unfounded guesses: (1) try manually adjusting your screen brightness instead of automatically, (2) keep your brightness as low as possible, (3) disable as many fancy lockscreen and launcher visual effects as you can.
If the PowerManagerService.Display actually does refer to the screen-off state, maybe look into the way your phone displays notifications?
No solution for wakelock?
Guys, Any solution?

same "problem" for me... it's missing also the data limit notification... for a better data management i'm using third app (3g watchdog)
yep... that huawei app is quite useless now...

Navigate to ”settings”

yrxe: Hi, I'm new at this and with this phone (since yesterday), i'm trying to reach the "all activities" page but i can't find-it... In what part of the phone is this?
I had installed the activity lancher already as you described.... as soon as I conneted the wireless this emui 3.0 appear and i can't establish any limit to my data usage (3g/4g).
Thank's in advance.
Open activity launcher app to access data usage. Only via that app you can get there.
Tx a lot !
I wasted a whole evening searching for that data traffic management that had disappeared.
Thanks a lot

I'm using the free AVG antivirus.
If you open the widget attached to it there are 4 icons.
Press the 'Battery'.
Press 'Mobile Data'
There it is!

It seems broken on EMui 4.0: the data graph is "invisible"
