Hey guys
I have my note for around 3 weeks now. I experience the purple screen twice.
so basically out of no where, the screen will turn really purple like. but the problem is fixed after i restart the phone.
not super concern about it, but just want to know if this is a bad sign that the phone will die on me?
thanks!
Ive had this experience on my Galaxy S1 and S2 I get a quick flash of either green or red color then everything is back to normal.. happend once or twice on my Galaxy S1 for owning it for a year and maybe more than 3 times on the S2 for 3 months.
It's a software bug, and i guess it'll get patched sooner or later by Samsung, but no i do not have any problems with the screen.
I've had it once Was more blueish tho. Just turned the screen off and on again (IT Crowd ) and it worked just fine after (I freaked out at the time tho).
Only once. Screen turned blueish upon waking up of device.
Yes, it happened to me too. Turned blueish when turned on but returned to original when hitting the power button. Thank god it's a software bug rather than hardware.
I'm having this issue w my 3 week old One. Besides the purple red hue, I now have an issue where if I'm in a dark room such as my bedroom either at night, or in morn if I press power button the home and back buttons light, but screen stays black. I can hit button 10x and screen may flash for split second but won't turn on. If I turn room light on everything works fine.also if I disable auto brightness it also seems to work.
I am within my return window since I got it during holidays but build wise the phone is ok, and I've heard of others having camera, speaker, sensor issues w return phones. The phone was built in aug, I bought it from vz store. Should I try to exchange, or would it just be better to send to HTC for repairs?.
Ant suggestions to fix sensor?, I can wait for camera fix but I do use phone in dark.

send them a mail, phone them and they'll tell you what to do. I'd recommand to phone the shop where you bought it. If you didn't root it you shouldn't have any issues. Otherwise let it escalate and phone HTC.
Evening gents,
Just after I bought my One (black version) I noticed that my notificaton led is barely visible, and only when looking at it straight - I thought its a design failure and lived on with it..
But lately my girlfriend bought herself a silver variant of htc one, and the notification led is bright and can be clearly visible from another end of the room, when the phone lays on the table.
So the question is if my one has a bad LED, or all black variants have the same fault - eg. The led is mounted deeper or whatsoever?
Cheers,
McK

I think that you've had bad luck with your device. It should be like the LED of your girlfriend. Maybe you can give it back.
Hey there hobbyists and experts.
Recently I wanted to play around with my old phone. The Sony Xperia Z1 C6903. Rooted it, flashed a custom ROM on it, and so on. I noticed a spot on the display that didn't register my touch inputs so I decided to replace the display, digitizer and the frame. After reassembling it, and plugging it into the powersource, it didn't explode :good:.
But it didn't display anything on the screen. I only noticed the status LED.
- Sometimes it flashed blue. (Not Fastboot)
- After leaving if plugged in for a while, it turned solid yellow.
- When I tried to turn it on again, the LED flashed red and then afterwards purple.
Does anyone of you have an idea on what the problem might be? Or any clue on the LED signals?
Should I disassemble again, and check every wire?
Thanks in advance.

Hi people,
Can anyone help me, I'm going crazy!
Right I have a note 8 a few weeks old. Never been dropped etc. I put a black background(no pictures etc, just pure black) on my home screen. When I turn my screen brightness up to full, and look at my screen in the dark, the top of the screen looks faded(Browny yellow instead of black). I sent it in to samsung and they said there isn't a problem, but their obviously is! Could anyone please try this on their device for me? Just put 'black image' into Google images and you will find loads of black images to try it with. Thanks in advance (has to be viewed in a dark room, because it's not noticeable in light and the screen brightness has to be full). Thanks in advance.
