I have a problem with my battery. It is swallen and deformed at one end, and now I can not close the back cover anylonger, because the battery sticks out. Any suggestions? Can I try to squeeze it with pliers on deformed part without causing damage?
It is deformed in red higlighted area.

Ok so the other day I dropped my Kaiser a couple days ago and now the screen feels really loose when the screen isn't open. I don't think anything cracked inside.
Is there any way to fix it? I'm thinking about opening it up to see if there's anything I can do. The phone still works fine, but it's bothering me Has any one else had this problem before?
Thanks

Same issue here, feel my LCD loose. Any solution ?
I didn't drop it and i only bought it less than 2 months.
take it back.
So I opened it up today and found out that the loose part was the sliding part here: http://www.pdacenter.ru/images/htc_p4550_kaiser_060.jpg
Is there anyway to tighten it?
I have a question - for what this connector is responsible?
I do not have this one which I mark on foto
I think it should be connected with battery cover and mainboard.

That's where you stick the tabs of the battery cover.

Yeah your right there should be 2 connectors one of yours has dissapeared :S i think its for the gps sol, im pretty sure i read in my manual or sumwhere else, It was for the gps. Im just waiting to be corrected by someone now..
The metal tabs to spring the battery cover? I removed them when I re-shelled my phone. Don't sweat it. It does nothing.
And no it is not for GPS. Those metal tabs connect to nothing. Unless you were pointing to something else.
I was wondering the same.. because i dont have it either.. But I can assure you that the phone/gps/camera/keyboard/*put part here* works even without it
Being a ROM addicted, I hard reset and soft reset a lot. But I was fed up with having to open the battery cover all the time. I could even damage it with so much opening and closing.
The solution was simple.
Take note of the exact place to drill in the cover (see my picture – start to drill from the inside of the cover as slowly as possible), grab a electric screwdriver, find a drill with the same diameter as the stylus and drill it!
Never take your cover again!

Hah! Nice idea.
I was considering doing something like that myself but I setteled with twisting a paperclip into the right shape so it can press the reset button without taking off the cover
If I hadn't lost my stylus I would be very jealous right now. Would try it on my pure, but the cheap backing is already cracked and probably couldn't take this.
Anyone know where to bridge for the backlight board level fuse. I dropped the water proof phone in water by accident and water got inside. Opened it sure enough water.. Dried off now no backlight ?! I had to replace a fuse on the Z2 and a Z but both times I found the location online this time, it is a mystery .. hmm
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Hope it helps.
Your fuse is marked by a red circle.

[Edit] i researched a bit, and i found out that this is a fuse with the sparepart number 1265-7224.
Good luck.

Anything you want to tell us?
Or is it just the frustration with these ****ty tiny smd parts?
I removed the back cover of my 9.7 inch tablet to change the battery and it seems I've broken a wire. I put everything back together and it seems to work. I've attached an image showing the wire. Can anyone tell me what it's for? I know it's somehow related to the speaker, but that speaker seems to still work.
thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but can affirm your problem with breaking this wire. The instructions for back cover removal that are commonly available on YT do not mention the need to be cautious around this area of the tablet. On the contrary, they are quite obviously unaware that they are damaging the tablet with their method of removing the cover! The chip you point to here is clearly missing after the cover is removed in one of the videos.
My mom's tablet did not work after replacing the battery, but I don't know that this was the reason, there may have been something else wrong with it.
