Being a ROM addicted, I hard reset and soft reset a lot. But I was fed up with having to open the battery cover all the time. I could even damage it with so much opening and closing.
The solution was simple.
Take note of the exact place to drill in the cover (see my picture – start to drill from the inside of the cover as slowly as possible), grab a electric screwdriver, find a drill with the same diameter as the stylus and drill it!
Never take your cover again!

Hah! Nice idea.
I was considering doing something like that myself but I setteled with twisting a paperclip into the right shape so it can press the reset button without taking off the cover
If I hadn't lost my stylus I would be very jealous right now. Would try it on my pure, but the cheap backing is already cracked and probably couldn't take this.

As more people probably have noted: The hardware keys of the HTC Diamond lie a bit higher than the screen itself on some units.. I think this problem caused the protective layer on the keys on my diamond to let go, I attached a picture for better explanation. (Look on the upper left and right corners..)

Does anyone else have that same problem?
And can I send my phone back for warranty with this problem? Or am I simple doomed with an ugly keypad from now on?
Thanks!
you can buy new ones from ebay
I had the same problem and I just peeled the layer off.. its been about 5 months without the layer and the button works just fine.
Yes, just be sure to press against the button while you peel the layer off, so you dont break the plastic panel, its a bit thin. I think its as if the wheel censor has better sensitivity with the layer gone, and it looks as good too..
my battery cover slider is becoming really loose, that it can slide off when just holding in my hand. my friends captivate is the oposite, it requires strength to slide off.. any way i can tighten this slider?

Sorry, I don't know if you can fix it, but I'm curious to know if it has always been relatively loose and, if not, do you open it frequently?
Take it in and have it replaced
but then im gona have to loose everything thats on this phone... all the data
Copy it to an sd card or a computer
I can do the same thing to my text messages?
There's an app for that, quite a few. Sends em to your email.
so I'm gona assume there is no way to tighten the slider?
I just glanced at mine and didn't see any of the mechanism. That however doesn't mean there isn't a way. Look for a take apart guide online. There might be some more information there. That however could lead to more damage of the phone if your not careful. Hope you get a solution.

So.. I got my new case from Tetded.
Upon my first try, I noticed that the screen didn't turn off when the flap is close.

Instead, the screen was closed when I open the flap all the way back.
and open again when I removed the flap from the back.
Also, you seems to be able to pry the leather open at the edge.
I believe this is due to the magnet position in the case. Not sure if it's because it was incorrectly positioned or they weren't designed for the smart cover function at all.
Anyway, I contact them and they issued me a refund via Paypal and another apologize email. They didn't explain anything though so I'm not sure if this happen on all units.
Does someone know where can I get lg d800 gps antenna?

I bought a new back cover on ebay... It comes with all the antennas, but, in my case, it didn't help
My gps didn't work and after exhausting all software attempts I came across the antenna issue. On mine I put 3 very thin pieces of vinyl electrical tape under the antenna connector pads. You might want to start out with 1 or 2 pieces to start. When putting the cover back on that section required the most force to snap back into place. But it works like it should I'm glad to say.
I removed the back cover of my 9.7 inch tablet to change the battery and it seems I've broken a wire. I put everything back together and it seems to work. I've attached an image showing the wire. Can anyone tell me what it's for? I know it's somehow related to the speaker, but that speaker seems to still work.
thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but can affirm your problem with breaking this wire. The instructions for back cover removal that are commonly available on YT do not mention the need to be cautious around this area of the tablet. On the contrary, they are quite obviously unaware that they are damaging the tablet with their method of removing the cover! The chip you point to here is clearly missing after the cover is removed in one of the videos.
My mom's tablet did not work after replacing the battery, but I don't know that this was the reason, there may have been something else wrong with it.
