From what info they have given, the new 10.5.1.A.0283 doesnt seem to address this particular issue.
However, we already know Xposed framework + wakelock terminator can make this battery drain issue go away.

WOW that's impressive. So does it work on JB 4.3? I have downgraded to .569 sw. There is no smoothness in KK as it is in JB.
Thanks for the info bro

It was the guys with Nexus found the solution, I forgot who was the originator, but it is somewhere here in XDA.
But yes, it works on 4.3. In fact you can do more in 4.3 than 4.4, due to interfaces such as app_ops and battery_stats were hidden to "protect user data".
Those stories have already been discussed here in XDA, so I guess I should stop here.
If it is the issue of google play service drain more battery than Andriod OS when idle, which kept your device "awake" while screen is off.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2919373&stc=1&d=1409491302
xposed framework can be downloaded here:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
wakelock terminator is in google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.andro.wlt&hl=en
settings:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2919305&stc=1&d=1409485715
Other wakelocks can be disabled by "per app hacking", which is an optional module found in the xposed framework.
You may also want to disable "Location Reporting" and "Location History" in
Settings -> Location -> Google location settings
If you want to read more, you can search "NlpWakeLock", don't quote me, i just post what I gathered from the internet.

Hi, if anyone could help me it'd be much appreciated i have tried two different roms running the new 4.3 sony firmware but in both cases my phone seems to stay awake with android os being at the top of the battery drain list. for some reason or the other i is not allowing the phone to sleep, i believe it may be kernel related but am unsure. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and does anyone know of a way to fix this. any help would be much appreciated

Thank you for your quick response but that won't fix it as as far as I know I'm the only one having this problem on a freshly flashed fw with not even my Google account set up
I'm having the same problem.
At the moment it's on 57% of resources used. While the one below is only at 14%.
It's not all the time though... Some days it uses this much and other days it's just normal

Personally I would like to see something similar to what BetteryBatteryStats or Wakelock Detector show. On the main screen show Google Services, but when we click it for more information it would be nice to see a breakdown of exactly what service within Google Services is using up the CPU, battery, etc ,not only u have this issue even ur using google apps or not its still working on background .so, i disabled "Google Play Services", cleared the cache of all Google Related Apps, also Uninstalled All Google Related Apps, and it seems to solve the issue...:fingers-crossed:
Fasbook and Chrome drains the battery also really much. Delete all share apks and social engines with Titanium Backup or a root browser. Before I deleted some apks I don't had more than 3.5 hours Screen on time. Now every time 4+ hours. Once up to 5.5 hours.
Bloatware drains the Battery really much.
And yeah mtayabkk is right, Greenify some apps.

see i think that may be why im using a c6602 so
I have a similar problem, still trying to figure out what's causing it.
Conclusion
Ok guys ive drawn to a conclusion that the c6603 ftf file just does not go well with the c6602 model, maybe because of the radio of the c6603 model using LTE. But im not sure so if anyone with a c6602 phone wants 4.3 without battery drain youll just have to wait till sony releases it and someone makes an ftf of it
Never mind guys I reset back to 4.2.2 with ftf factory reset there flashed existence z then the stripped.ftf and now I seem to be getting no problem anyway thanks for all the suggestions
Hi! First Sorry for my English, ill try to explain myself as best as I can.
I have my phone carrier locked, with Orange Spain, and the didnt released 4.3 yet, so I updated my phone to it changing build.prop and via Sus.
Everything works well, I flashed Centroeuropean 1. But when I tried to install Social Camera apps, I saw that only few were available. Not infoeye nor Defocus.
But Motiongraph and motionshot yes.
So I sideloaded the apks, and they are working, but I have some questions:
Werent all the apps ported to our phones, so the must be availabe in Sony select?
If a update is launched for the sideloaded apks, I will get a notification on update center?
I know that the update center works well, because I alredy updated the album with the new rom, but I have a doubt with the sideloaded apks. (btw, when installed, they requested the "Use update center to check for updates" permission)
Thanks to all!
No need to worry about the checks and controls etc.
You need to go to settings > Security and check box for unknown sources.
After that you can check here for some camera apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646031
Not all of them tho. Most of them can be found in the Play Store

One last question please. My phone is carrier locked, I was only receiving my carrier's updates, and always late, because is Orange.
As I writed, now I installed European 1 stock rom 1272-3352. And I received a update for the album from the update center. This never happened before, because Orange never released an update for the phone, and they are already with the 4.1.2.
Does it mean that im going to receive future updates like a free bought phone? For example, if Sony releases 4.4 (I hope it) ill be able to update when they do the rollout for Europe, or I would stay until my carrier rolls?

Is it only me or something wrong with LP? After upgrading to LP 5.0.2 (using Flashtool), System UI (or Launcher, or something else, I'm not pretty sure) just keeps auto-restarting after a while. The screen just becomes blank, moment later application icons show up. Applications seem to be reloaded (e.g. keyboard is loading for a moment before it shows up). It was working pretty nice before (KK).
Any help?

Because of high lowmemorykiller value, launcher and UI will restart frequently. You can try to flash init.d tweaks to adjust your lowmemorykiller value, and it will solve your problem.
Hi,
I suggest you trying at least a custom launcher with Lock In Memory feature. I was facing this issue and it was really becoming annoying, then I installed Xposed Module to do a small fix on Lollipop Memory leak (if you don't mind rooting it's a great option). And installed NOVA Launcher with hat feature.

1. For LMK> use 3C Toolbox from Play Store, set Android OOM at aggresive mode and enable set on boot (not init.d).

memory leak has been fixed in 5.1. I'd wait it out til 5.1 is rolling out on the z1. can't take that much lunger 'til then. couple of weeks max (i hope)

OK, so to summarize, just like u guys I am having trouble with memory leak, which people said a fix had already been included in sony stocks BUT it didn't really fix the issue at all. correct? Then i'd go with: wait for 5.1
For those who are using xposed, yesterday I was about trying to uninstall xposed to see if I had any luck getting rid of the issue. However, I found a new version (v70) so I decided to flash it first then clear davik-cahce... and you know what... it seems to be working normally now. No lowmemorykill so far (yet?). Will pay a few more days see if it somehow solves the issue. You might wanna give it a try.
Cheers
