Introduction
MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod for Nexus 7. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, Plasma Active, Bohdi Linux or WebOS port.Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs, daily prebuilt image files to install Ubuntu Touch and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
You can also watch a video which shows it in action.

WARNING
It is dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash factory images again. Make backups. Always.

Yes, I know this bug. Multirom-TWRP doesn't work in landscape currently. You have to change it to landscape. So, go to Settings -> Screen and set rotation to 90.

Does it split main partition to install 2nd ROM separately? Or where second ROM stores it data?

No. It stores the data in the multirom folder on the internal sd-card. You can read more in the original multirom thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403

Today I got the device!
And today the ubuntu touch team decided to make the switch from the "just another android shell":
Instead of booting into android and firing up the Ubuntu system after
android has booted, the new images now boot into Ubuntu and initialize
android inside an LXC container during boot.

BTW, thanks.

First images are ready for flashing.
Until Ubuntu Touch finished the container flip, we will stick to the classic layout, so no daily saucy ubuntu images.
WiFi is not working - help would be appreciated.
Tried loading the module wlan.ko in /system/lib/modules, but not sure if done right.
The boot.img you mentioned in OP can be the boot.img extracted from the Pollux_windy zip file?
WiFi feature not working is really regretted, hope you can find the solving way, I'm not dev, but I like to try new thing.
WiFi is important to me for daily usage. Perhaps next build from you?
Thank you anyway.

There is no perfectly stable dual boot for this device yet. Other thing is. Porting win rt to android device is (kinda illegal) and it's a little bit impossible to do for devs. And yeah everyone of us would like to see rt on ours XTZ, but for now it's not gonna happen that easly.

Impossible is a bit strong. It is improbable that a dev would do the needed work to make Windows RT boot.
The number one reason you touched on is legality, because you cannot just buy a Windows RT license aquiring the image to install would be illegal, and any dev who supported this would be likely to incur the wrath of Microsoft.
A dev may do it for fun though, like cotulla did with the HD2, but again like with the HD2 it would probably never see the light of day due to the above license issues.
Ty for your answer
WiFi fixed, fully working!

my tester just flashed it....it boots up so...
from omnirom KK sure u can but if u wanna come back KK u gonne need a pc, cuz cm lollipop recovery is broken for all devices, u need to fastboot a KK boot.img in order to get back working recovery
But how exactly to flash ?
1. Place the ROM on your SD-Card.
2. Extract boot.img included in zip and fastboot flash it via Flashtool or CMD
3. Reboot to recovery.
4. Wipe data-factory reset/cache partition/dalvik cache
5. Flash the ROM.
Did i need 2.) ??
or can i directly go to TWRP an flash your .zip ?

I think it's a good idea to wipe system too. I initially used the boot.img (I actually used the CM11 one) as I'd screwed up my recovery by installing the latest TWRP 2.8.4.0 on the fota partition, I think that version is faulty. But I tried installing TWRP 2.8.1.0 on fota once up and running and screwed it up again! (black screen when trying to boot to recovery). So I flashed a stock ftf, booted and flashed an omnirom boot.img with fastboot, booted into it (2.8.1.0) and flashed this rom no problem. So I guess if you already have TWRP, you'll be ok!
*edit* Oh no! My recovery got overwritten with Cyanogenmod recovery. (No options to install zips) Hoping I can get TWRP back...
Tapatalked that shiznit.
well ...i have to modify steps, because as included recovery into lollipops kernel, i was wishing cyanogen fix their sh*t, but it semms they are not gonna fix it soon, is broken, u can't flash anything from it, or else from sideload.
better way is:
From a fastboot flashed cm11 (yeah KK) boot.img (or if u already are on a cm11/or based rom with working recovery)
u boot into recovery
make a nandbackup
wipe data factory reset+wipe cache partition+wipe dalvik cache
flash rom+gapps
reboot
let settle
reboot once again...
Huge thanks to @scoobyjenkins for testing and spending whole afternoon to try flashing and freak out lolz

The pollux one goes to pollux_windy, and the pollux_windy one goes to Pollux

The pollux one goes to pollux_windy, and the pollux_windy one goes to Pollux
I nearly flashed the pollux to my wifi-only 311
UPDATE : Flashed, booted (took a few minutes for first boot - be patient!), No GPS. Not had time to try anything else.

well ...i have to modify steps, because as included recovery into lollipops kernel, i was wishing cyanogen fix their sh*t, but it semms they are not gonna fix it soon, is broken, u can't flash anything from it, or else from sideload.
better way is:
From a fastboot flashed cm11 (yeah KK) boot.img (or if u already are on a cm11/or based rom with working recovery)
u boot into recovery
make a nandbackup
wipe data factory reset+wipe cache partition+wipe dalvik cache
flash rom+gapps
reboot
let settle
reboot once again...
Huge thanks to @scoobyjenkins for testing and spending whole afternoon to try flashing and freak out lolz

Well I think I'm getting somewhere... After having my recovery overwritten, I flashed stock ftf again, booted, flashed omnirom boot.img (TWRP 2.8.1.0) and flashed Pacman Rom 4.4. Then I booted to recovery and it was once again overwritten by cwm. So I booted to system, used the fota install method for TWRP 2.6.0.0 and hey presto! It was successful. So I'm guessing later versions won't stick if flashed for the first time. I was on TWRP since 2.6.0.0 and have updated using fota method ever since. So now I've installed this rom again and will see if I can get TWRP 2.6.0.0 to stick, then maybe update...
Tapatalked that shiznit.

twrp 2.8.3.0 is live. mtp fixed in it. but you can
complied it @#buzz
I couldn't find 2.8.3.0, but with 2.8.2.0 the backup issue with non-matching md5 checksums (seen with 2.7.1.0 and 2.7.2.0) seems to be fixed now. (XT1021, retail 4.4.4). Tested multiple times, with and without compression.
Thanks a lot! (No need for CWM experiments anymore.)
What I'm missing in TWRP: a means to set not only the time zone, but date and time as well - my XT1021 reports a date in the past and an almost random time each time I boot into recovery.

Actually I am currently not interested in updating this recovery because I am concentrating on making lollipop ROM for our device. I have cherry picked a lot of changes and I am still working on it.

My intentions are to make lollipop boot up. For that very reason, I made this recovery update. I am happy that you like this. I will surely update it to the latest version but I need some time also.

Slim lp ROM is made long ago. But the kernel gives some errors with msm_vidc and init things. Also I am working on the kernel to bring it to the latest caf lollipop flags. Now I can say that, the ROM is made (it installs perfectly) but kernel is what I am stuck with. Anyway, I will try my best.

EDIT: I have still worked on some major things and made one more build.
Package Complete: /home2/ramsudharsan/slimlpcaf/out/target/product/condor/Slim-condor-5.0.2.alpha.0.91-UNOFFICIAL-20150102-1341.zip
Need to recompile once and then I will test it. I have made some changes in the kernel also. I will try.

Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot
Unlocking Bootloader/Root/Recovery (Required)
Just follow steps from Sony Developer World Mobile
http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
1 - Make sure you have a Recovery pre-installed (via boot partition or bootstrap hack) and Bootloader Unlocked
2 - Download the latest version
3 - Flash it via your recovery
Now you ask "i still have the CWM Philz, what to do?"
You will need a custom kernel with support to load recovery from FOTAKernel, check this
For now only one Custom Kernel support it, the FalconSS Kernel
4 - Flash FalconSSKernel or any other Kernel with this support via recovery
5 - And Enjoy!!!
TWRP3 - Support from Stock KitKat to CM14.1 Based- Zip Flashable - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767133664
Support: All Xperia E1 Variants
How to get into recovery: The LEDs will flash green, in this moment you can press Volume buttons and wait, you will see a Blue/Cyan color in LEDs, you will enter iin recovery.[/B]
No issues related to TWRP3 (If you found someone, just report. Thanks!)

Actualy, the dual recovery exploit, use the bootstrap folder into the root of the storage to boot a recovery without having a UB, then if you want a PhilZ and TWRP, you unlock your BL, flash TWRP 2.8, Caio kernel AND THEN you have dual recovery
Ok, so far I got TWRP flashed, but the problem is it shows the TWRP start logo, but doesn't boot to the UI/Options. I waited for 15 minutes and it didn't boot. Hope this can get fixed

Tested on R0r2 FalconSS Kernel, TWRP 3.0 Passed on Recovery but not on UI/Option on Xperia E1 (D2005). Hope it can be fixed. Good work though.
TWRP 2.8.1.0 R2 is on!
Fixed font size
Fixed device set
Partially fixed mtp
Removed default max brightness
I think so
Not is really NEED to update, but is more good than the previous release
You still need FalconSSKernel or kernel compatible with load FOTAKernel ramdisk

DEVICE SPECIFIC TWRP
Device specific TWRP are discontinued!
Please note: our kernel detects your Tab2 variant at boot and chooses the right driver and config for your device! In some cases (e.g. if the mainboard or the screen got replaced) your device variant isn't detected right and it will use wrong driver!
I am not sure how many user are affected, but in such case we can skip the intelligent board detection and hardcode the variant.
Attached device specific TWRP should work to flash latest Android 7 builds.
Feel free to buy me a coconut water if it helped you to keep your Tab still, after many years, almost up to date.
Old recovery threads have been closed because device specific recoveries are discontinued and cwm & philz touch are not maintained anymore.
Let's keep this thread on topic here please:
- No rom questions
- no questions about other recoveries
- make sure posting a recovery.log, maybe dmesg if you have issues on this common twrp

Yeah, it is ok. I'll upload it tomorrow to androidfilehost. It was a quick test to check if eMMC 4.5 work fine (some tab2 seem to have newer emmc, because of that current twrp wasn't able to use the emmc and flashing wasn't possible. Its also the reason why latest builds don't boot on some tab2 and getting only a black screen).

Take zip twrp , sent zip to SD & install via recovery...Or take .tar-md5 file and flash it with Odin... From here by Andi : https://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html (you must read first)
Windows Defender detected a Trojan in the latest TWRP zip (3.0.2-8).
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...d44fd3d141077f60723133fd33b53c552b55892a840a0
Not sure if it's a false positive, or if maybe the Android File Host mirror was infected.
Update: I searched the md5 in VirusTotal and it came up clean
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/...86575991df34d1ebd93aaf4a6fea9bf9f4c/analysis/
I also redownloaded the zip file a 2nd time, with no virus warning. So looks like it was a false alarm.
I use 3.0.3-0 .... Excellent ! Thanks Andi
I have tried the common 3.0.3-0 on my tab 2 7.0 (p3110) but it installs larger than the screen and the touch wont work, connected mouse to OTG but nothing would work. ended up forcing a shutdown and reflash old version.
