I recently moved from S3 to HTC one M7 and my other choice was z1 compact and S4 but i rejected both of them.
I think that Battery is amazing, specially the standby time, on 4.4.2. Camera is OK. If you take a lot of pictures then HTC one isn't for you as it's only a 4 MP lense though the video quality is somewhat better than most phones out there. I personally don't like sense 6 but it's quite smooth. Screen quality is simply amazing (ofcourse you'll find s4 more appealing due to its amoled display).
I would say that you should get One...I got fed up by touchwiz and samsung so i bought htc.
ALSO, if you like flashing ROMS, then don't buy an HTC as the system is ridiculously secured compared to samsung. Even Sony Xperia series is easier to play with, once bootloader is unlocked.
Keep discussing about the pros and cons of the M7 only and avoid comparing it to other phones or this thread will probably get closed by a mod (no phones comparison thread are allowed)
and btw there is already a "what do you like/unlike about your htc one" thread in the general section with tons of pros/cons.

Being a Verizon HTC Rezound owner, I have an upgrade coming up in a week and still can't decide between the HTC ONE and Galaxy S4. I thought the Rezound was a great device, but was really upset with HTC with how quickly they basically abandoned the Rezond when I felt like it was supposed to be a flagship device. My brother has the S3 and I have been much more impressed with Samsung and their willingness to continually upgrade the S2 and S3 even with new devices being released. I've seen lots of reviews and know that the HTC ONE seems to be a slightly better device but I think I'd prefer the S4 just because Samsung will do a better job supporting it. Any advice from current HTC ONE owners and how happy you currently are with the device would be greatly appreciated. BTW i did unlock and S-OFF my device to run jellybean but would prefer to not have to unlock to get the current versions of android.
Hey there fellow rezounder!
I too came from the Rezound and I couldn't be happier with the one. My wife got the s4 and I've used it for short periods of time, it seems laggy definitely when switching menus and getting to the app drawer, it takes like 200ms for the app drawer to come up whereas on the one its literally instantaneous.
The feel of sense is just superior and I highly doubt htc will abandon the one like they did with the Rezound.

Should i trade my iphone 5 for a htc one m7 or i should keep the iphone?
i absolutely love love my iphone but i want to try android
so should i trade it for m7 or keep the iP5 and wait to a better android device i can buy or trade with iphone
well, personally im to htc over Iphone - only had iphone 4s, but quickly got rid of it again and went to htc one later on (which i havent regret)
its a preference still, dont see why you would trade if you infact love the phone you have already just to try out android
i havent had the iphone 5 myself only played around with it from my friends who have it
still prefer android, no doubt.
i would properly wait till next launches of phones if you had in mind of buying a new, thats what i do.
yeh trade it for htc one loll, just install miuiv5 rom on it after, best of both worlds ps, make sure everything is workin on htc one before ie headphone jack and both speakers
is the m7 laggy or has battery drain on sense 6 4.4.3 ?

M7 laggy? It was never laggy, it's one of the snappiest phones I ever used. Battery is another story. My stock M7 can last through out a day, but barely. My rooted M7 lasts for a fay and a half to two days without a problem

dude htc one m7 is da best lookin phone hands down , iv got the red one !!! its real fast too, no laqg watsoeva, maybe newer devices have beta cpu/gpu, but htc one still holds its own LOLL, WE ALWAYS COMPARE PHONES IN MY FAM ,s3, S4 , S5, IPHONE 5S , IPHONE5 , NOTE 2, my htc one still looks the best
yeah. you should trade it. LOL. my One M7 is the best phone i've ever have. you can't compare the battery life because it's depend on personal daily use. if you wanna try the purest Android system, try the LG Nexus 5. but with One M7 you have a full metal body instead of hard plastic. or do you wanna trade your iPhone for a HTC One M8?

I traded my iphone 5s for a htc one (m7) and havent had moment regret. The iphone 5s was/is a great phone, would recommend to anyday
but the htc one and android for that matter just gave me a lot more fun due to the android os being so much opener and the fact that i dont
like apple desciding what i can or not install or use on my phone.
And after rooting and installing custom roms the fun just got a lot better. Im even thinking about getting a second M7 so i have 1 for daily use (maybe stock..) and 1 for playing around with roms everything. For me this phone is just perfect, 4,7inch screen is excellent, the phone size is just right (shouldnt be bigger).
Hi!
I'd like to get a new phone, as my Ascend P6 is just crappy. I was going to get HTC One M7 as I like its size and the ability to hack it and use the logo as the on/off button. But a clerk at the store told me that it has some issues - overheating, wi-fi instability... I was also thinking about like LG D802B G2, but that would be for a different forum.
So what do you guys think?
And please, how fast is M7/M8 when switching between 2G and 3G? I'd like this to be quite quick.
Thanks!
I had never experienced any of that issue the clerk told you about...
Personally I don't feel the m8 is a big upgrade tho. I sold my note 3 a month ago to buy the m7... And am very happy with it.. it's fast, comfortable, and beautiful.. it sounds awesome and the screen is fantastic even dough it's smaller than the note3... Oh btw am running kk 4.4.3... And soon android L... As you can see it is still a good option..
But you r the one that will be using the device so.. check both mate.

I've been reading a couple of forum threads about this itself and I know that it's not allowed to compare 2 phones and I assure you, this is not a VS thread. I am only here for opinions. The users here own (possibly) an HTC One M7 and I find myself drawn to the M7 for only 1 reason really. The build quality, the premium feel.
However I wanted to ask you guys your opinion because you actually own the phone. If it were up to you guys, what would you advise me? HTC M7 or LG G2? Both have 32 GB storage. I know the advantages of the G2 hardware over the M7 and despite it being so sweet under the hood, I would really love to hear what you guys have to say about it.
I currently own an Xperia M. The only reason why I am migrating to another phone is because of storage. 4GB internal is honestly horrible and I feel 32 GB would do the trick. I tend to use a lot of chat applications and I am an amateur photographer too (smartphone wise that is.)
Any opinions? Purely according to you ofcourse, not trying to flame a war or anything. My intentions are simply as it appears. Just need some help deciding and the best help would most certainly come from those who own the device.
Well, I don't know who would recomend LG on this forum. Personaly, I used LG G2 and didn't like it one bit. Sure, LG is more powerfull on paper, but you need to try both phones and see which one suits you better. Camera wise, there was much talk about HTCs ultra pixel, tint issues, not so good picture quality... I, for one like it very much, even took better pictures than with Samsung Galaxy S5. One great thing about M7 is its build quality and shock resistance. I dropped my M7 many times and it left scars on it, but nothing major. My friend dropped his G2 once and his screen cracked. Dissadvantage of bezel less screen

I owned both M7 and G2. I love both. I used more on M7 because I love the build quality, beats audio and also the camera. The only downside is the small battery . That is no way to change it although I perform serious tweak and use the best rom, no doubt. G2 is having slightly poorer development. Not much choices to play around but definitely is a great performance phone and with big battery.
I hope you make a right choice. Both are great phones. Loving them. One last thing, HTC always commit to update their devices, this is another selling point. But bear in mind, software upgrade not necessary better.

I have been using HTC One M7 for 6+ months so this phone isn't old at all. It performs just as good as if it was purchased yesterday so there are no complaints this is a truly amazing phone. However, With new devices like M9 and a little bit older M8, should you really upgrade your M7 to the latest M9?
I know that M7 is still a worthy contender in the smartphone lineup although its 2 years old now since it was first released. The only reason why I see an upgrade would be necessary is because of the great processing power that both M8 and M9 delivers, having said that I don't mean that M7 isn't fast, its superfast but sometimes there can be slight glitches and it tends to lag - this is not on day to day basis but M7 has its own moments when it acts like that.
Any suggestions are welcome, would you recommend me waiting until M10 is out and continue using M7 till then or do you believe an upgrade is necessary, I'm not a heavy smartphone user so M7 works just fine although I feel sometimes its just nicer to have faster processing power.
Thank you, any responses are appreciated.

I think you just answered your own question.
If you are not an heavy user, there is no need to pay 600$ for a new device when the one you already have is only 6 months old....Wait for your M7 to die and then upgrade to another device. Thats my opinion
With all the publicity around SnapDragon processors, I decided to stay with my M7 for now. There is nothing I need from M9 (or M8 for that matter) that my M7 can't do just as well. So, my suggestion is to stick to your practically new phone at least till march when M10 should come out
