Should i trade my iphone 5 for a htc one m7 or i should keep the iphone?
i absolutely love love my iphone but i want to try android
so should i trade it for m7 or keep the iP5 and wait to a better android device i can buy or trade with iphone
well, personally im to htc over Iphone - only had iphone 4s, but quickly got rid of it again and went to htc one later on (which i havent regret)
its a preference still, dont see why you would trade if you infact love the phone you have already just to try out android
i havent had the iphone 5 myself only played around with it from my friends who have it
still prefer android, no doubt.
i would properly wait till next launches of phones if you had in mind of buying a new, thats what i do.
yeh trade it for htc one loll, just install miuiv5 rom on it after, best of both worlds ps, make sure everything is workin on htc one before ie headphone jack and both speakers
is the m7 laggy or has battery drain on sense 6 4.4.3 ?

M7 laggy? It was never laggy, it's one of the snappiest phones I ever used. Battery is another story. My stock M7 can last through out a day, but barely. My rooted M7 lasts for a fay and a half to two days without a problem

dude htc one m7 is da best lookin phone hands down , iv got the red one !!! its real fast too, no laqg watsoeva, maybe newer devices have beta cpu/gpu, but htc one still holds its own LOLL, WE ALWAYS COMPARE PHONES IN MY FAM ,s3, S4 , S5, IPHONE 5S , IPHONE5 , NOTE 2, my htc one still looks the best
yeah. you should trade it. LOL. my One M7 is the best phone i've ever have. you can't compare the battery life because it's depend on personal daily use. if you wanna try the purest Android system, try the LG Nexus 5. but with One M7 you have a full metal body instead of hard plastic. or do you wanna trade your iPhone for a HTC One M8?

I traded my iphone 5s for a htc one (m7) and havent had moment regret. The iphone 5s was/is a great phone, would recommend to anyday
but the htc one and android for that matter just gave me a lot more fun due to the android os being so much opener and the fact that i dont
like apple desciding what i can or not install or use on my phone.
And after rooting and installing custom roms the fun just got a lot better. Im even thinking about getting a second M7 so i have 1 for daily use (maybe stock..) and 1 for playing around with roms everything. For me this phone is just perfect, 4,7inch screen is excellent, the phone size is just right (shouldnt be bigger).

Reading all the reviews today of the LG Nexus 4, and they all make it seem nice, and better than the Galaxy Nexus, but not a mind glowingly awesome and amazing new device, just a good new phone.
Not knocking LG or anything, but based on reviews, I just wish HTC got another crack again, at the Nexus-Four. Imagine the HTC J Butterfly device as the new Nexus instead, with that amazing 108op S-LCD3 screen, and nice build quality from HTC, and cool design factor. Or to keep the price down, HTC could have made a new Nexus based off the One X+ phone, just add 2GB RAM, and release the same One X+ phone, but with stock Android 4.2.
The 6 month old One X is still regarded as having the #1 screen technology, better than the iPhone5 and slightly better than the new Nexus 4. And the design of the One X is very sexy and unique, imagine HTC going all out on a new Nexus design.
Oh well, I will still most likely get the LG Nexus 4 this month, I like to support Nexus, having owned all three Nexus phones the past few years, but I am not super crazy excited about the LG Nexus 4. To me it feels like what Apple did with the iPhone4 to 4S.
To each his own opinion But I will ignore HTC for some years now, as I had SO many problems with HTC devices after the glorious HD2 (e.g. the One S, just take a look into the forum; the One X had some laggy stuff as well at the beginning), the support was SO bad and I was SO angry regarding the bad flashing options I got (because of the strict bootloader stuff).
I loved the HD2, but it is not by accident that HTC is "in the red" for some time now!
And I think that the new Nexus really is a great step forward, the distance to other devices is bigger than it was at the release of the old nexus devices in the past. The Nexus will never be the absolutely best someone can get (else the manufacturer will whack google^^)
Maybe u should buy a HTC ONE X ... !!
I hate it when people complain "before" the official release... maybe u should give it a try and then start complaining.....Maybe u will like it.
O and remember , u can't have it all.....
Bigger battery, SD card, 1080p, design ,bla bla bla

Don't get me wrong, I love my HTC one, I've had it for a week or so now, and it's a vast improvement from my HTC Evo 3D. That being said, was it worth the 2 year contract and $200(What I had to pay) for the upgrade? To be honest, I don't think so. The HTC 3D was a fantastic phone, really didn't lag, and I had Holo Locker and Apex Launcher installed to give it that jellybean look(I also have this installed on my One).
The reason I had upgraded was that I just turned 18, so I could legally have my own contract, and my power button completely came off the circuit board on my evo. I was not about to replace the button or get another evo.
I was just wondering if anyone feels like they should've waited until the next big HTC phone(Samsung phones feel too cheap!) or if the HTC one was the way to go!
I had a Samsung GS4 i9500 before buying the One and I felt it was a big improvement
Not a vast improvement over the Evo 3D?
You must be joking. It's like night and day.
And the Evo 3D was a lag fest, I don't know what phone you were using lol
I'm coming from the Samsung Galaxy S3 and it's an upgrade, a huge one? Absolutely not lol. Enough for me to be happy with the 650$ purchase? Yes. You must be very easy to please OP, I wish I was.

I meane it is a vast improvement, but if I had the choice of my power button not breaking and keeping my 3D over buying a new phone i wouldve kept the 3D. it never lagged for me, and did everything I need no problems, I'm sure MANY people had problems with the 3D, but I never did and it was great for what I needed it for.
I bought the One X at release and loved it.
I bought the One at release and love it.
I'll probably buy the next big thing at release and love it.
I can afford to and I'm a phone geek.
You seem to be closer to the other end of the scale.
I still think the best device ever was the Nexus 1 made by HTC.
It was not aluminum but Teflon which felt premium quality too,the trackball colors was great for missed calls and sms
From my Desire HD? This thing is amazing
Im confused?
Just asked a simple question for the community, am confused with the insults, but thats for the more mature comments those of you who had left them.
I jumped from my HTC Wildfire to a One.
After finding out Nexus4 is 200€ I regret it a little =(
I'm kinda regretting it... I love the phone but I could have stayed with the gnex another year for sure.
I got it as a replacement for my HTC Sensation, and it's a huge improvement. Everything launches so fast, and BoomSound is great!
24x24€ and i came from HTC 8S .
Very happy!

Agree 100%. Came from my Sensation. Its lightspeed quicker.
Steve
I love the aluminum alloy body on the One, the power of the Snapdragon 600 SoC and the amazing screen, although as predicted by myself when I bought my HTC One five months ago, I now wish I had been patient enough to wait for the 64 GB version to become available.
I know also that as soon as something very similar comes on the market with a Snapdragon 800 powering it that I will be unlikely to avoid the temptation to upgrade a perfectly good phone after a mere .......six months ?

Shoots self in head... the SGN was such a great phone wrapped in a awful package.
The screen sucked, speakers and mics sucked, camera sucked, signal sucked, battery sucked a little less... but the OMAP 4460 was a great processor it 'almost' made up for the rest.
To be completely honest with the OP though, no one can answer that question for you. To me the Moto X is a step back, to others its a leap forward from the One. Each person is different and ha different values

I'd stick with it. It's amazing and it'll get better and better the more you use it
I also come from the HTC sensation , and the performance difference is light years. the one would have been perfect if HTC kept the option for exchanging the battery and a sd card slot.... yet everything is perfect, but what happens if the battery becomes weak ? questionable if HTC would replace the battery under warranty....
i came from s4 i9500 octa and i think my one is a rocket in terms of speed and fluidity
Hi!
I'd like to get a new phone, as my Ascend P6 is just crappy. I was going to get HTC One M7 as I like its size and the ability to hack it and use the logo as the on/off button. But a clerk at the store told me that it has some issues - overheating, wi-fi instability... I was also thinking about like LG D802B G2, but that would be for a different forum.
So what do you guys think?
And please, how fast is M7/M8 when switching between 2G and 3G? I'd like this to be quite quick.
Thanks!
I had never experienced any of that issue the clerk told you about...
Personally I don't feel the m8 is a big upgrade tho. I sold my note 3 a month ago to buy the m7... And am very happy with it.. it's fast, comfortable, and beautiful.. it sounds awesome and the screen is fantastic even dough it's smaller than the note3... Oh btw am running kk 4.4.3... And soon android L... As you can see it is still a good option..
But you r the one that will be using the device so.. check both mate.

So, I apologize if this is in the wrong section but I currently have an HTC One and I am going through my annual need(want) to upgrade to a new phone.
Its been a hard choice but I impulsively decided on the Nexus 6 and its currently in the mail.
I'm actually now having seconds thoughts since I do love my HTC One M8 more then I ever have a phone, and don't know if its worth it to get the upgrade to a Nexus 6 when I can wait for summer to hit and more new phones get released.
Are their any converts from the HTC One m8 here, and can anyone tell me which phone they think is better?
I have an M7, and an N5, had an M8.
I really liked the M8 but jumped on the Nexus as I do every year when its released.
The M8 has great feel and great software, however the larger screen of the N6 won me over. I think you may also enjoy the relative freedom that owning a nexus gives concerning ROMs and custom features. As well nothing beats updating when a new version comes out.
It will take some getting used to. Don't be quick to write it off as just a bigger screen. The Nexus 6 has much more to offer. You just may have an initial "getting used to" period.
I hung onto the M8 for a couple of months, just in case. I pulled it out one afternoon and it felt so small, and the screen was so difficult to use. A great phone for sure, the N6 is just as great, just different.
Try it, you'll like it.
Never had an HTC but that M9 though
I am half tempted to sell my Nexus 6

I just switched from the M8. So far I'm glad I did. I love the screen size. The speakers sound just as good as the M8, in my opinion. For me it was between the S6, M9 and N6...not near enough patience to wait on the G4. I haven't used Touchwiz a ton but Samsung is super locked down on Verizon. I liked the move to 20MP on the M9 but all I've read is that its performance is mediocre. I'll still check out the M9 and S6 as pre-orders (at least for the s6) will start within my 14 day return period...I'm confident I'll stick to the N6 though!
I have been using HTC One M7 for 6+ months so this phone isn't old at all. It performs just as good as if it was purchased yesterday so there are no complaints this is a truly amazing phone. However, With new devices like M9 and a little bit older M8, should you really upgrade your M7 to the latest M9?
I know that M7 is still a worthy contender in the smartphone lineup although its 2 years old now since it was first released. The only reason why I see an upgrade would be necessary is because of the great processing power that both M8 and M9 delivers, having said that I don't mean that M7 isn't fast, its superfast but sometimes there can be slight glitches and it tends to lag - this is not on day to day basis but M7 has its own moments when it acts like that.
Any suggestions are welcome, would you recommend me waiting until M10 is out and continue using M7 till then or do you believe an upgrade is necessary, I'm not a heavy smartphone user so M7 works just fine although I feel sometimes its just nicer to have faster processing power.
Thank you, any responses are appreciated.

I think you just answered your own question.
If you are not an heavy user, there is no need to pay 600$ for a new device when the one you already have is only 6 months old....Wait for your M7 to die and then upgrade to another device. Thats my opinion
With all the publicity around SnapDragon processors, I decided to stay with my M7 for now. There is nothing I need from M9 (or M8 for that matter) that my M7 can't do just as well. So, my suggestion is to stick to your practically new phone at least till march when M10 should come out
