[Q] I have intresting problem....... - Motorola Atrix HD

Hy!
Can you help me?
I have Atrix HD with 32 G micro sd card, if i use the camera in camcorder mod (mp4 video codec) the camera and gallery freeze and reboot the phone.
After power on the phone gallery and camera works, just potrait mode if i rotate in landscape mod freeze and reboot.
But i use with this camcorder settings: Video codec: H.264 and AAC audio codec, Usually work fine.
But if i want look back (images, videos) from the camera i look after the system freeze for 4-5 pieces images.
This problem is at present all cm11 rom me.
The former had no such trouble with cm11 roms
Present rom Validus-6.1.
Thank you in advance for your help

Maybe a bad install or a bug in the ROM. Probably not your micro SD card but it could be? If the card isn't fast enough to take high quality video then than could cause crashes. I don't take a lot of videos or pictures so I'm just spouting my limited knowledge.

Camera issue

Camera on the Tilt records for only 9 seconds. Picture mode is fine, only video is experiencing the problem. I tried setting duration to no limit, but it automatically stops after 9 seconds still. I tried various radios (i'm using dutty's 6.1 hybrid v2) but nothing, with one the camera just stopped working (1.64.8.xx)

You have how much free space left on your internal or storage memory wehen this happens? How much space do you have before attempting to record the video and where are you attempting to save the video? What happens if you attempt to save it to the other memory location (eg going from internal to storage card or vice versa). Perhaps its stopping because it's running out of storage space?
i have 90mb left of internal, and around 330mb on the card, i tried saving to both and its the same thing
u mgiht need to either hard reset or uopdate camera
how do i update the camera?

video playback

I know i've read with ram hacks games are slow, what about movies? I watched a movie from my phone for the first time and it was pretty good (office space) a little lag. I have a class 6 card if that matters.....
I believe that movies should also lag when you are using 10mb ram hack...this hack takes all the memory that was for video, and uses it on other things, so it should also afect the video playback...
Think as if you take out your video card from your PC, what its going to happen? Everything that is involved with the video card is going to be affected, because its not there anymore....something like that...
Srry for my bad english, but i guess you get the point...
Ok cool thanks. The lag wasnt too bad. Thanks for the reply btw.

[Q] Nook HD+ Video Playback Issues & Charging Port ?'s

I just got my Nook HD+ and went ahead and put the carbon emmc tweaked rom on it. I am coming from a HP Touchpad with CM9. I was hoping the Nook HD+ would be an "upgrade" due to hdmi out and microSD card capabilities, but so far it seems like the Nook HD+ is no where near as fast as the Touchpad CM9??? I never even overclocked the Touchpad.
I am mostly wanting to use it for video playback and I use BSPlayer, re-encoded 480p mkvs and on the Touchpad I could easily speed up playback to even 1.8 or 2.0 (double speed playback) and it wouldnt miss frames, would stay in sync with the audio and it wouldnt be choppy at all. With the HD+ I cant even play the same files at 1.2 playback speed without it going out of sync with the audio and it seems it speeds up the audio but not the video. With MX Player playback is choppy and missing frames etc... I am so confused as to why the HD+ cannot handle these lower resolution re-encoded files. I even tried a faster microSD card, putting files on the internal storage and its always the same choppy out of sync result. Same result with downloaded lower resolution 360p mp4 files from youtube. I tried older BSPlayer apks and the newest, same result. Before I took the stock OS off of the HD+ I had basically the same video playback results as I do no with the carbon tweaked rom on it. My Galaxy S2 Stock using BSPlayer has no problems with the playback/speeding up playback just like the Touchpad.
I also noticed that the HD+ tends to lag and the touch sensitivity isnt all that great?????
One last question, is it normal for the proprietary charging cable to be loose in the charging port bc mine does not "click" into the port at all and it seems fairly loose, loose enough that when I barely move the cord at all and the connector "wiggles" just a little bit the charging light goes off. It charges fine if I do not move it and make sure that the connector is pushed all the way in, but it just seems to me that it should "click" into place more and or at the very least be a tighter fit so that it doesnt stop charging at the slightest movement of the cord.
Thanks for any and all help with these ?'s
(I meant to post this in the Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting, my apologies mods, please move if need be)
The charger cable easily comes loose on mine when you move the device, so I would assume that's normal.
I personally don't have any problems with video playback or audio dropping out of sync when sped up, although I personally use mxplayer. Do you have HW decoding turned on in bsplayer or are you using software decoding?
no playback issues here with mx player as well.
I've never had the lag problem either with the ui.
running cm 10.1 7/19 build.

For touch sensitivity you can play with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2347003
As someone who owned a Touchpad, I can tell you right now, the hardware in the Nook HD/HD+ is way more powerful than the TP. There is virtually no lag on the Nook and we don't even have overclock abilities (and I had my TP on 2.1ghz). The fact is only has two cores seems to be a non-issue, in fact my last tablet was an N7 gen 1, and this is easily just as smooth/lag free. Also I have no problems play HD content on my Nook. I use Plex's built in player (for streaming) and Rockplayer (for local).
I've noticed in mxplayer, the HW+ decoder drops some frames with videos using certain codecs. Switching to HW or SW might fix your frame drop issues.
I've owned the Touchpad and now the Nook HD+, and have used both extensively. Firstly, the HD+ definitely has superior hardware to the TP. However I think that the 1080p display can sometimes push the HD+ to its limit. The TP's display is 1024x768, so it has to push much less pixels.

I tried both hardware and software decoding on BSPlayer... tried MXPlayer as well...I thought about trying dice player and rockplayer but ehh I think I got a lemon tablet so why try ...I even tried on demand then performance in cpu power settings...but its not just video playback... reading pdfs its rendering is slow... and I am talking about stuff that my GS2 and Touchpad did easily, same files, using the same app - moon reader etc.. the video is low resolution stuff even so it shouldnt be a problem for the HD+...and I dont have any other apps installed other than what came on the rom, bsplayer, moon reader and es file explorer...no background items running etc... they only way I can really describe its laggy-ness is its as if I was running windows 7 on an old pentium 4 with 512mb RAM...and trying to multi task watching a video in the background and then trying to play a game or something it would choke it...
I think I got a "lemon" as I believe it was a returned tablet bc it wasnt sealed and it had fingerprints on it etc but it was wiped fresh to stock and once I cleaned off the fingerprints it was perfect so I decided to keep it... but now I think the person returned it bc they either screwed it up or it was a lemon to begin with... wonder if I can get a new one under warranty of some sorts...

Like I said its low resolution re-encodes... I tried all kinds of formats and resolutions....360p mp4s downloaded from youtube, 480p mkvs, 720p mkvs, avi's etc... all the same result...
My nook HD Plus plays all videos smoothly using either MX player or diceplayer. The H 264 codec is the best to use. I don't I know how it would play other codecs like windows video . I'm currently using carbon rom which runs very smoothly and quickly. I recommend that you load the video files to the internal storage and play them from there. Depending on how your SD card storage performs, your performance will vary playing from there.

I have tried all the "good" players (bsplayer, diceplayer, mx player) using various codecs/file types/resolutions/my own rips, DL rips and even downloaded youtube videos to get a varried range of stuff to try etc and am using the latest carbon rom (but I also side loaded the apps in the native nook stock OS and had the same poor video viewing results)... ive tried running them off the internal storage space and various 8GB class 2, 4 cards and 32GB class 4 and class 10 cards... all give the same choppy result dropping frames if I set it up that way or it goes out of sync if you dont set it up to drop frames to keep up...
but even then, PDFs are rendering noticeable slower than my CM9 Touchpad...
I guess something is wrong with my nook HD+...
ill have to try warranty claim or use my CC benefits to get it taken care of if B&N wont take it back... anyone have any experience with warranty and the nook HD+ or any advice....(I know ill have to return it back to stock and FYI I got it at the end of July at Office Max)

What are you using for pdf files? Try Adobe Reader, which I find is really smooth on the nook. Also make sure you turn on "force gpu rendering" in androids developer options (in settings) otherwise Adobe is a bit choppy.
PDFs demand a lot of CPU power and the 1920x1280 makes even more work of it.

SNAPit front camera issue

Hi guys!
I use a Lenovo K3 Note that I bought just a few days ago.
When I try to record a video with the front camera it looks really small and with a poor resolution, the size is around 1/3 of the screen. It happens only with the video, pictures are ok.
I am using the app version 4.1, and the settings for the video are 16:9 and 720p (but I tried others and they also didn't work).
I deleted the cache and the data of the app, but nothing worked.
Could anybody help me?

Question Stutters in videos

Hi, I have a problem when I take videos in 60fps. 4k or fullhd.
I always have jerks. An example on this video
At 10 seconds you can see the problem.
I tried to configure in h264 or h265 but it does not change anything...
Thank you in advance for your solutions.
Tried resetting the phone to the factory defaults?

I'm a videographer using this phone. Its a bit frustrating, but i think i know what the issue is. Dont use in built stabilization modes. They work, but they cause frames to drop out. I bought a gimbal system for the stabilization issue ( i needed to buy one anyway ) and the stutters are gone.

The problem is the same with me even if I disable stabilization.
