I am having troubles here. I am currently unlocked, rooted, S-off, radio version 1.01.20.0515, and running CM11 on my HTC One. I would like to try out Venoms ViperOne rom but every time I try it doesn't work. I have re downloaded the files several times and checked the md5sums. The latest attempt I flashed ViperOne 7.0.0, flashed the Sprint fix file, then the kernel with a full wipe besides storage. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or give me a step-by-step to flashing this rom on this phone?
Okay, I updated to TWRP 2.7.1.3 and I was able to flash ViperOne 6.2.0 and get service, then got the 6.2.1 update through my phone. Don't know if it was the recovery stopping me or not but I finally have Sprint service on a Venom rom. Hopefully they get the 7.0.0 Sprint problems sorted soon as I am liking it so far.

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and forgive me if this is a repost, but I had rooted my HTC one M7 to Cyanogenmod using the CM installer and loved it but I'm wanting to go ahead and get it back to stock to get Sense 6 when HTC puts out their official ROM. Anyway, I ran through fastboot and relocked the bootloader which it shows and I flashed using HTC's RUU file. I'm on version 4.3 with 5.0 currently and am trying to update to 4.4.2 with sense 5.5 but everytime I go to settings then AT&T Software update it says the system is up to date. I've tried clearing the services framework and I still can't get it to update. I'm not sure where else to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I installed cm11 on my HTC ONE M7. But after it for a while, I was bored by it and started missing my stock htc sense 6 features. So, I want to return back my stock. I forgot keep a backup of my stock rom and I am having a difficult time searching for the rom/ruu. I used the cyanogenmod's own app to install cm11 so it has only tampered my bootloader. Any suggestions?I have even installed TWRP to install a custom ROM. Can I install a Europe version of RUU and still get OTA updates over my phone?
My phone is useless right now. I will be happy to root my phone as well.

I have a Sprint HTC One M7 that has been flashed to Pageplus Cellular. I have flashed multiple custom ROMS (Bad Boyz 4.3 sense 5 , Ecliptic 4.4.3, Bad Boyz Sense 6 4.4.3, and currently Eragon V54 which is also 4.4.3) They all have instructions on requiring a certain firmware level, but I have been afraid that updating the firmware might ruin my flash.
The ROMS all seem to run fine and I don't understand what I may be missing by not updating the firmware level.
Also, when I recevied the phone, it had a custom ROM installed so I have no idea what the last firmware update was. The phone is s-Off and has Hboot 55

you dont have to RUU to flash a firmware. Use the modified firmware meant for S-OFF people
OK Thanks for that, but my main question is do I really need to upgrade the firmware as a prereq to to flashing new custom ROMs. The ROMs I flashed all seem to wok well with updating the firmware.

I think the only thing it will affect is your calling experience where one of the callers can't hear each other so best bet is if your calls are working and everything feels fine then u should be OK.
Thanks
Basically just what the title says. I'm trying to return to stock to fix some problems I've had. I have a Harman Kardon M8 and installing Cyanogenmod works just fine but installing stock ROMs causes the device to hang on the HTC loading screen. I don't think I'm installing the wrong stock ROMs but perhaps I am.

You need to make sure your firmware is up to date including hboot.
If your hboot is old the newer stock roms will bootloop.

To add to that, if your firmware isn't up to date your Wi-Fi won't work, either.

And also please make sure you get stock ROM from official HTC site and also make sure you are S-ON.
