Hello, first of all, I'm from Argentina and my my native language is Spanish, so excuse the bad translation.
* I have the following problem. I am owner of a asus tablet, the TF701T. the firmware that the device had was the JDQ39.US_epad-10.14.1.44-20131002
See the manufacturer's website and saw that they were the roms US_epaduser_10_26_1_18_UpdateLauncher.zip US_epaduser_V11_4_1_17_updatelauncher.zip
download "US_epaduser_V11_4_1_17_updatelauncher.zip" I put it on a SD, Android just told me he had an update and explain appropriate.
The upgrade began and suddenly, in the midst of it, a shot and a triangular sign with an exclamation mark android robot, and the phrase "ERROR" appears.
I do not know what to do
If I press power and - vomumen
The following screen appears
RCK has no effect, the android robot appears with exclamation mark
wipe data appear to delete something, but nothing happens, the android robot appears with exclamation mark

I fear I have brick my tablet
Any ideas? from already thank you !!!
Unzip the xxxx. updatelauncher.zip once and you should get another zip named xxxx_user.zip.
Copy the xxx_user.zip to a microSD and insert it into the tablet.
If Android still boots you shoud get a notification to update. If not, boot to RCK (Power and Volume Down, then Volume Up on flashing RCK) and it should flash the file.
Good luck.
Berndblb thank you very much for the reply.
I format an sd card in FAT32, put the UL-K00C-US-11.4.1.17-user.zip file.
Android not boot normally.
I put the sd in the tablet, arrives to the menu that says RCK.
For a few seconds says it is updating, but ends with the robot with exclamation mark
I try the UL-K00C-US-11.4.1.17-user.zip. and UL-K00C-US-10.14.1.47-user.zip
both have the same result

Hello,
I've already sent my device back to Asus, where they did absolutely nothing and just sent it right back to me. Complete waste of $16 shipping.
anyway, a while back I received a notification to update firmware. It downloaded, but then the install failed. About 2 weeks later, it prompted me again, and once again it downloaded but then failed to install on the restart. I decided to download the latest firmware on the Asus website, but I have no option to install by SD Card once I'm in Droidboot. My only options are:
1. REBOOT
2. REBOOT DROIDBOOT
3. RECOVERY
4. POWER OFF
Can someone please help? Asus has been absolutely no help, as I just spent another hour yesterday "chatting" with the rep who knew absolutely nothing!
Thanks in advance, cheers!
Well, I guess I stumped everyone in here as well. I just sent the device back to Asus for the second time in 2 weeks. Let's see if they do anything more than just power on the device, deem it "working properly" and promptly send it back to me.

I have (2) K01A MemoPad 170CX's, less than 30-days old. Both updated to 4.4.2 via OTA method running software Image Version: V11.2.3.27. (2014-12-23)
On one all of the sudden (and it may be a case the camera never worked) is when the camera is activated the cam app comes up for (3) seconds with the still icon lit up, then the video icon lights up as well for a (1) second then app exits to desktop with a "No Camera is found" error message.
I've been all over the net trying to find into on how to manually flash it.
According to the very cryptic info on ASUS website step # states:
"2. Download device software and Update SOP (From “Manual” Item)"
Googling for info on SOP, you download firmware in zip format, then do (1) extraction of the contents to a MicroSD card formated FAT32 to the root of the card. (After extraction there is a zip file named ifwi.zip that contains (4) *.bin files that remain inside the zip, you don't extract that zip.)
According to info on SOP, with device powered fully up inserting the sd card is supposed to bring up a prompt, a icon on the taskbar/, you click the prompt and the update process begins.
I'm not seeing that.
All I see when the SD card is inserted is a notification the SD is being prepared for use.
When trying to update via DROIDBOOT (W Fastboot wording at bottom of screen), with SD card inserted the DROIDBOOT menu isn't coming up, when I fire up DROIDBOOT without the SD card inserted and insert it DROIDBOOT does not recognize any change has occurred.
Wanted to try re-flashing WW_V11.2.3.27 as I've read in cases the camera gets the No camera found error message the camera firmware gets corrupted somehow. when you hit the return to home-screen icon too fast, I guess when app is in process of opening and it's closed before it initializes fully.
If that doesn't work, trying Version WW_V11.2.3.28 as I for sure don't want to have to send the device back to ASUS when a simple reflash of the firmware would get the camera working again.
Q: Are / were you getting the same results?
(I guess you didn't try SOP method?)
Q: I guess "Fastboot" means "neutered"? Is there a way to bypass? /enable all functions ASUS would not be able to detect if I have to send in unit for service?
Tried copying the contents of the removable SD card to the internal SD card folder...
Nada, zip, nothing.
ASUS needs to provide info on how to run the flash, I've never had this much trouble flashing a device.

I tried everything under the sun....I extracted the zip, nothing. I left it as a zip, nothing. I went to recovery, nothing. You name it, I did it. So, I sent back to Asus for the second time in 2 weeks. I just checked the status of my RMA with Asus, and it states that "No trouble found." I'm not sure how NO TROUBLE IS FOUND when I can't even update to Asus latest firmware for their device? In addition, I do not get the options to try to manually update (Not that I should even have to go that route when it should be OTA). I will never own another Asus product. I've only had my tablet for 4 months, 2 1/2 months of which it sat in my desk, unused. Asus is garbage.
Did you remove any system files or freeze them? Did you root?

No I did not remove any system files or freeze them, that I know of. I rooted shortly after purchasing this, but unrooted the device about 2 weeks later.
Thoughts?

If you are talking to me in which camera(s) both seem to not be found by the OS ME170 is STOCK, STOCK, STOCK.
Contacted the vendor TigerDirect, noticed that they claim they will NOT do exchanges due to "manufacturers polices". While I realize it costs vendor (TigerDirect) to handle exchanges that wording could also indicate they have run the numbers and don't want to be bothered.
Reading about ASUS service, and my interaction with ASUS when I contacted them does not insipre incidence so I'm hoping to be able to flash the device and cameras will start functioning again.
In regards to the customer being able to flash a device (Which I done numerous times on other brands)
I know ASUS is a Asian based manufacturer and sells worldwide but they really need to have persons who can write in better ENGLISH.. ASUS needs to publish detailed instructions on how to flash device, additionally they need to update support pages with any drivers, tools to do so vs just posting the firmware with vaque reference to SOP.
Q: How long after firmware updates appears on ASUS site does OTA update get pushed?
..
Just an update....
Just received my memo pad back, and it appears to be finally fixed. It took sending it back twice, and escalating to a supervisor, but it looks good now. I've actually received 3 firmware updates in 2 days, so it was REALLY behind! What firmware are you all running right now? I have WW-3.2.23.201.
I think 201 is the latest. Mine is still on 199 though and it won't try to update again since it failed a couple of weeks ago.
I have a Nextbook tablet that belongs to a friend. It has Windows 8.1 on it. He told me it wouldn't turn on. It turned on for me but it promted for a password which he didn't remember so I went ahead and did a system (external ) reset. I followed the instructions from the Nextbook website. Windows will not boot up now. What happens is I push the power button, it powers on , goes to logo on the screen then says "setting up a few more things...2%...". Then 2 error messages come on (see below) and it wont go any further. ..Endless loop. The Nextbook does not have a normal USB plug.(just a small one) It does not have a dvd drive. This is just a tablet with a detachable keyboard. Any new ideas on this would be great. I would like to fix the memory issue and reinstall the Windows, but , how? Thank You in advance!

Hi, i tried reseting windows. The process begin 5%, 10%... After long time a message un the blues screen " there had a problemas .. No changes were made".
Now the windows dont start, i can see the first menú, i can run android, but when i tried fin windows the screen is black. I push the screen and it react,
I plug a keyboard, i repeat the reseting procesos, and i get always the same message.
but windows dont start. Pleased any advice.
same story, reinstalled from flash drive using image from 4pda
recovery/reset moves files and zeros the partition. maybe windows messed up or one got impatient? no matter.
download necessary firmware from teclast's chinese or english websites, enter the ID of your model to get links.
the english site uses onedrive to host files and the chinese uses baidu (you'll need to register free overseas account, just google).
you can actually use any other already prepared (bootable) windows usb installation, this is just easier as a stock recovery will reprint your key.
format a usb drive as fat32, make sure volume label/name of the flash drive is "WINPE".
copy all files from the windows folder you just downloaded.
make sure battery is fully charged, you will need a usb hub too.
connect a keyboard and the drive you just formatted to the tablry using the microusb adapter.
turn on tablet and tap delete repeatedly. once in the bios navigate to "save & exit" tab - "boot override" menu - select your USB.
wait. if you see a blue screen just repeat, its normal. process is automatic and tablet will reboot once the images are written.
I have a 2011 NordicTrack 1750 with a 7" android tablet that is mechanically just fine. Recently an automatic update must have failed, because now it's stuck in a low level boot loop. Unlike the other threads I've found on the net, none of the iCON applications ever load. I only get to the blue generic android screen and no farther before it eventually reboots.
The symptom is that after the system boots it eventually throws the error "Process System is not responding" and whiter I select force quit or wait, the system eventually reboots.
I have both latest.apk file that I downloaded from a bit.ly link I found in a NordicTrack thread that I assume holds the latest icon application. I also have the $93 USB drive that I purchased from Icon fitness that has the if it-video.tgz and mp10.tgz files. I also have a mini-SD card formatted as FAT32.
I can boot the tablet into safe mode, but it eventually throws that error and then eventually reboots again.
I have been able to get to the Applications and Files menu selection and the iCon Fitness application is completely missing, though I do have the icon fitness keyboard. I think I have the icon application in the latest.apk file.
It seems like I need to do a full factory reset and reinstallation to fix the android problems and then reinstall the icon application. But, I don't know how to do that or if I have the right files for that.
Through various combinations of putting the files I have on the miniSD card and rebooting, I've seen it attempt to update the firmware, but eventually go back into the reboot loop. I also watched it try to verify the checksum of the iCON USB key only to eventually reboot and go back to the loop.
There is a thread that looks promising talking about hacking the elite 9500 pro, but I'm not a developer, so I can't post directly to that thread.
I think the tablet is a Hannstar JMV-7 (from a thread I found on the Net)
From the About screen here are some specifics:
Model: sec_smdkv210
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Build: sec_smdkv 210-eng 2.2 FRF91 eng.android.20110301.153856 test-keys
Does anyone have an image of such a device that I could just blast onto this thing -- if so how would I do that? Any help figuring out how to get this thing back up and running will be greatly appreciated. All the icon helpline offers to do is sell me a whole new 7" replacement tablet for $1300. Not something I'm thrilled about.

Ok, will be very careful
Hey!
Finally I decided to upgrade , and I am pretty happy for doing that. Even though I didn't expect this now animations are way faster, and Safari is so much faster. On big sur it lagged so much that I couldn't even use it.
However there is feature that I was hoping to be able to use but got unfortunately discover it just isn't available.
I would really like to have low power mode on my Mac, but it just doesn't appear any where in the OS.
What I found on the web is that it only works on early 2016 models and later.
Would it be possible for you to add a patch so they Mac thinks it's form 2016 so low power mode is available?
I think that way it should work but maybe you have a better idea...
Hey!
So I decided to install macOS Monterey on a 15" MacbookPro with dual graphics(in this case, I have the GT 750M).
I followed the other's guide you made and everything works great.
However as soon as I reboot into the USB, during the boot, the apple logo and progress bar glitches out and become tiny. This persists when I get into Monterey recovery everything is sill tiny.
Anyway I tried to continue and it seems to install the OS, however when it ends the installation, the boot screen never ends, it get stuck and I know the installation is complete because I can hear Macos voiceOver function, saying how to use if I need, but on screen I only see the loading bar and the apple logo. I tried restarting and nothing.
I also return to Big sur and then re do everything, got the same result.
Any help is welcome, and thanks in advance!

Well, I got to say I havent seen this happen before... its probably something to do with graphic divers compatability. I will do some research and see if I can find a fix for you.

No worries
Hey!
So finally the issue is finally fixed.
I tried to install Monterey using OpenCore legacy pacher and got the same result, however, it turns out I didn't see the warning when installing Monterey on this Mac(11,3). As it turns out when the installation is done you need to reboot in safe mode so the Mac don't use the Nvidia card.
Though, now with the latest version of OpenCore ( 0.4.7), it fixes that issue(on 0.4.6 you would have to reboot on safe mode).
Now when the installation is done it reboots it just and just works out of the box, and it automatically patches the system so you are able to use the Nvidia card without having to do extra steps.
So if anyone is interested in Installing Monterey on an unsupported Mac, visit their webpage, as everything is well documented, easy to follow and has an extensive list of supported devices.
Thanks for the news. When this guide was uploaded, this was the one of the earliest ways to get Monterey on unsupported devices
